I've been here on one of this nights and the hot dogs were good. The design of this bar is unique. My buddy and me joke it reminded us of walking into our grandmas as ir has a downstairs basement that is small with low ceilings and a pool table. Overall pretty solid place. It is a small neighborhood bar that has quite some years on it and you can tell. I was greeted by the hosts for the shuttle bus and got a complimentary beer for choosing Nachbar as my pick up location. I did get my complimentary beer and left a generous tip. They had Nords Donuts for food for this event. Beer and Donuts? Very odd combination, was hoping for The Post Pizza or something that was real food. It was free so no complaints other than it was an odd combo. Note: they don't serve food at Nachbar. The inside is kinda dated and there is good seating. Bathrooms are set up like Mag Bar and Kerns Korner. IFYKYK. The outside is more spacious than the inside. They do have a nice patio. As for the inside it looks cool and they have plenty of board games and plenty of local beer on taps that you don't see at most bars. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis but, the local beer selection is a hit with me.

I have put off this place for the long time and myself and another friend came here just recently on a whim. It is quite a drive depending on which part of Louisville you're coming from. It was a nice adventure for the both of us. We always like to go to new to us places whether it's good, bad, ugly, etc. lol. We parked at the top of a hill/ or flood wall whatever you'd like to call it. We walked over a bridge to a dock right on the Ohio River. It looks like a tiki hut with the bar seating circling around it, don't let the size of the place fool you they can make some cocktails and have pretty good canned beer choices. Our only kicker was it did take some time to get service, we did wait about close to 10 minutes I'd say, normally we'd wait 5 minutes if that but, since we came a long way, we gave them time. When we did get service we both ordered Sex on the Beach, one of Americas most popular cocktails. They do have some nice patio seating with a great view of the Ohio. There is also boat parking as well. As for food choices, there's a separate building for Tacos and Burritos, and not to mention.... Bathrooms are separate as well.
