    The friendly faces!

I was recommended this place by a friend and they said they had an awesome time. It was kind of secret feeling when you walked in because it's hidden as the name would suggest directly across the street from guitar emporium and book and music exchange. The vibe is awesome as are the people in the bar. It has a kind and energetic feel that reminds me of a more adult rec bar. They have a few consoles to play on and two ping pong tables upstairs which are all free! They also have a pool table and the drinks are cheap. The staff was all super friendly. They don't have a large selection or food but there are plenty of restaurants around to eat at before you come. I will definitely be back!

Visited here while on vacation with a few friends. Spot is lowkey! They have darts, Nintendo and other free games on deck! Super chill spot, drinks were priced right. Definitely worth stopping in for a few sips and good time

Jello shooters at the hideaway saloon. Neat bar and super friendly bar tenders. Game room up stairs and right in the heart of bardstown rd.

First visit to the hideaway saloon. Fun venue. Game room upstairs and darts and video games down. Friendly bar tenders and Jello shots

I spent an evening at hideaway Saloon recently and enjoy the smash brothers tournament. Did you say smash brothers? Yes, I did! The Hideaway Saloon is a fun gaming bar in the highlands. If you are looking for good drinks, exceptional bartenders, and gaming all at the same time check out the Hideaway Saloon!

I love a good dive, and was so excited to see one tucked along Bardstown Road, aptly named the Hideaway Saloon. Near my apt, you have to climb up some kind of shady stairs to get to the bar. Now this is my kind of bar. But it just wasn't. The waitress was nice enough, but the crowd seemed unthrilled that we were there. Like we were in their territory. Nothing wrong with regulars. But at most small joints they are like the mini welcoming committee. Our first time at Pauley's they shared their homemade chili with us! The drinks were cheap and we stuck it out for 2 rounds, unfortunately right before the music started. Maybe from Joey's review it all chills out and such with the music pumping. But with all the awesome dive bars to choose in the Ville, I just don't see myself ever going back. For me the Hideaway will just have to stay hidden.

Cute, local gamer bar. But if you don't play video games it's still a nice bar to socialize and have a cheap drink

When first entering I notice that it's filled with decor and just something to look at, at every corner. The service at the bar is quick & all the way to the back outdoors is where they had their event with the boil and chill people that would chat with anyone. I was apprehensive about going alone, but it was such great exposure therapy especially since everyone was so kind & talkative! When I went up to get my serving I didn't know seasoning it was even an option, but I got it each time!! They scooped a generous amount for me & tossed it in a Vietnamese chili sauce, it was phenomenal. I've never eaten it that way before, but glad to experience it! The servings were huge & they allowed me to get 3 helpings!!! When talking with the locals I was told they do free dinners numerous nights, and would love to visit again! Such a great time!

We mostly love coming here because it is 21 and up and we can be adults here. Other reasons: they have different flavored Margaritas of the week and every Tuesday was $5 Margs and they had a taco food truck here as well. Not sure if they still do that. We also love coming here for the pinball games (they switch out periodically) and the patio in the back we absolutely love. This place certainly faced its challenges during and after the pandemic. They have bounced back tremendously and with that came some changes. My biggest kicker, they haven't had updated Merch for sale for a very long time. Kinda noticed the change about maybe 2 years ago. For the past 2 years there have been no Derby stickers (something they started in 2020). They have done derby shirts for the past 2 years but, no stickers. I also collected their own stickers as well, there haven't been any new ones for a while. This is really my only kicker here. Idk what's changed or if it's not in their budget but, merch does bring in money. I also miss Potato the bar cat. I asked someone a long time ago what happened to Potato and a bartender told me the owners moved. I hope they can bring in new merch at some point and new stickers lol. They also used to post on Facebook what food trucks would be coming each night so, someone has dropped the ball on that. The staff here is very wonderful and my friend and I adore them. We are treated like we belong here and don't feel out of place. Even the patrons make us feel welcome. This is one of the few bars we go to where most everyone is laid back and is not too rowdy for us. Maybe late at night but, for the most part, we love it here. This is definitely a neighborhood bar worth visiting. Laid back, not rowdy and everyone is made to feel welcome. We love it for the most part but, hoping they can improve some things I have mentioned in this review.

When I saw they were hosting a Love Island season premiere party, I knew it was the perfect time to finally check it out. Parking was easy - we found street parking right across the street, and there's also a reasonably price parking lot directly across from the entrance for after hours parking. What surprised me the most was the size of this place. It's HUGE! There are so many outdoor seating areas that it never felt crowded, even during a special event. Inside, there were two rooms with large TVs showing Love Island, plus themed decorations and drink specials that made the watch party that much more special. There were 8 of us and it was not difficult to find a table of us all on a Tuesday night. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. I was told the quesadillas were good too! (I had dinner beforehand but my friends ordered some food). The restroom I used was small but clean. Overall, Hauck's Corner lived up to the hype and then some.
