I was in serious pain and was seen on the same day I made the call, that in itself is amazing. Upon arrival, the staff was professional and very concerned about my condition. They listened closely as I described my ailment and told me everything that they were doing. When Dr. Blake came in I was very nervous and she recognized my heighten state. She took her time examining me and throughout the process she remained very calm and explained what she was doing. She gave me her diagnosis along with a follow-up treatment plan. The staff then proceeded to take care of all the follow-up appointments needed, from booking my MRI to calling my PCP to get prior approval. That has never happened to me with any other Doctor's office. Usually I'm the one making all the calls. I wish I could give Boston Pain Specialist a perfect 10 but 5 is the highest on Yelp. The shots I get in my lumbar area from Dr. Pearl are relatively painless...a testament to her experience. On my last visit, I noticed a sign that said they take Discover, MC, Visa and AMEX. I gave the receptionist my AMEX and was told that they don't take it. I pointed to the sign and she apologized and said she was aware of it. I didn't want to point out that maybe they should take it down.

It was NOT just weight loss. Dr Hull and I hit heads several times (LOL If he sees this, I am the one who told you to also lose weight that I know your Dr wasn't pleased with your weight gain. I am sure now you may remember me, if you see this) I had been losing weight at this time. He angered me, in so many ways, but HE WAS RIGHT TOO!! He had XRays taken and had other exercises given to me. I had moved to Colorado, and am now back in Maine. In Colorado I saw another back Dr, who was able to manipulate my spine so it had straightened out! WOW!! WISH That could be here in Maine. But as the Dr. in Colorado did that, a LOT of what Dr Hull taught me came so much into play. IT does to this very day. Today when the pain hits, I do a few yoga stretches and I AM GOOD TO GO again!! Literally with what I learned from him was to take action and not sit on my butt when the pain hits, thanks to the yoga poses, I'll in 5 mins go from a pain level of 6 down to a 1 and even a 0. If you want a Dr who cares (it may not seem it at times, well it did/didn't to me) I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hull. Today at 166 LBS, with ALL of the help I've gotten I can again put my leg on the top of my HEAD And I am in my mid 60s! Be ready to work, what you put into it, you'll get out of it. The back pain will not leave without your investing yourself into it. I hope the Attorney General's office nails them to the wall and pulls all their licenses as they were a bunch of sanctimonious jerks.

I looked at your history & you should see someone for your opioid use." He NEVER asked about my back once!! "He compared me to other people " MY AGE" with the same injuries and told me I shouldn't be in so much pain!! He knew NOTHING about me except for what I told the nurse. When I mentioned CIRS he said "Well, in 30 yrs I've never, EVER heard of THAT!" as if it wasn't a legitimate diagnosis. When I told him I couldn't sit he said "Well then I can't examine you. I don't know what to tell you." He was a condescending, berating yeller, who didn't have any interest in helping me. Lastly, he said "I could send you to PT early". EARLY...knowing I wasn't healed or ready! I was profiled as an addict before he ever even spoke to me. He was literally abusive. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time! He should not be allowed to practice medicine. AVOID THIS DOCTOR!
