The management team is only fake nice to you because they are trying to get your foot in the door. They were only responsive before we signed the lease. We have been here for a year and just signed another 24 month lease because we love it here so much. It's close to everything we love, the apartment is absolutely perfect for us, the pool is incredible and the gym is better than most gyms in the area. The leasing and office team are wonderful and helpful completing work orders in a timely manner. I've made a few adjustments to the sink in the kitchen and they replaced the faucet with one I purchased. The fire alarms have gone off a few times but I think they have it fixed now. I like that it's a non-smoking property (even though there are some that ignore that) because we can enjoy the pool without smoke. read more

I've lived in the complex for a year and will say it is a good complex. Pretty quiet within the complex and you are close to so many places. The only downside for me is that access to the building seems very finicky and is constantly going down making it hard/ difficult to enter the building or get to your apartment . There are only two elevators and if either goes down it usually takes weeks to repair meaning you have to go up the stairs to get to your apartment. While management does a good job communicating it is tiring to have to walk through the entire building/ multiple flights of stairs just to get to your apartment. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I would like to start by saying that before living here, I was not a Karen and created a Yelp account solely for this review. I have lived at The Marq on Burnet for the entirety of a 13-month lease, which I have regretted signing almost every day. To begin, my move-in experience was less than ideal when they moved me in during "Staff Appreciation Day," when not a single person was working. They told me they would leave my unit unlocked for me to enter when I arrived, with my key inside the unit, so I could move in. However, when I got there, my unit was completely locked, with not a single person available to help me get in. I called the emergency maintenance line and waited for over an hour to have someone let me in (they never came). Instead, I got to hear my neighbor and his wife in a domestic altercation and had to sit in the hallway alone with my cat in a suitcase, listening to them fight to the point where I felt the need to call the authorities for assistance. And want to know why I was waiting for so long? The next day, I found out that the man who was fighting with his wife/girlfriend (not quite sure) was the very maintenance man I was waiting for to let me into my unit. I did not get into my unit that day, but I did, however, have to pay the movers I hired to sit in the truck and do nothing. On top of that, I have had several packages either not delivered or stolen from the mailroom. The door system is also frequently malfunctioning, and I have been completely locked out of the apartment building twice due to key fob malfunctions or the door codes not working. Once, I called maintenance to let them know the system was malfunctioning and that I was locked out of the apartment. They told me it would be $75 to have someone come let me inside. To be fair, she thought I had simply lost my key, no matter how hard I tried to explain that it was in my hand. But boy, was she insistent that I had just lost it! :) However, my favorite feature of this apartment complex is the fire alarm that will unexpectedly go off throughout the month for a minimum of 20 minutes at full volume. I am actually currently writing this at 4:49 a.m. on April 25, 2025, after the fire alarm went off at 4:30 a.m. and woke me up once again. (Edited and posted upon moving out.) They may or may not let you know when they're planning to test the alarm that week, so be prepared for a few "boy-who-cried-wolf" situations where you're looking out your door to make sure there isn't a real fire and you don't actually need to evacuate! So safe and fun! I love creating good habits by ignoring fire alarms! God forbid you also have pets. If I had known about the fire alarms, I would have saved myself around $500 by not having to get the carpet removed upon move-out, thanks to the extreme loud noises and my cat. I will say that since my move-in date last year, they have changed management, which is much better, but that still does not negate the psychological torture of listening to a fire alarm blast in your ears at full volume at 4:30 in the morning with no warning. There are so many apartments in the area at comparable, if not cheaper, prices. Save yourself, your pets, and your wallet! read more

My partner and I were tenants here for 3 years. Loved the concrete floors and finishes. Location was great if you work Downtown or a little more north. HEB was super close as well as the freeway entrance. Amenities were decent, gym had the basics and the pool was fun (a little too shaded). Dog park was tiny but walking around the complex with our dogs was just fine. Maintenance was pretty responsive and always got the job done. Leasing office was also very accommodating and efficient with communication. Our move-out process was pretty seamless. Will always remember our time here! read more

I don't want to leave an extremely negative review but with housing prices the way they are in Austin, I feel it's important to share with others my experience. Lots of issues here, lots of crime. Packages constantly being stolen, mail room being broken into, storage units being broken into, cars being broken into, had a gun pulled on me leaving the building one day. Lots of maintenance issues. It's written in the lease that there should be a 1 day turn around on maintenance requests. This is not true, every request we make there is weeks turnaround. We asked for a new air filter because when we extended our lease we realized it was never changed. We were told it would take awhile because they had to order the part.. what? We went to target and bought one and replaced it ourselves. The grounds are extremely poorly kept. Dog poop everywhere; grass, sidewalks, everywhere. Community poop bins are constantly overflowing. I have seen vomit on the stairs that no one ever cleaned, it just dried up, and same for main entrance door! Parking garage gate is always messed up, electronic locks on exterior doors are always messed up. One time a metal beam with the Allowed height/clearance for the parking garage fell on a parked car. Carpets are disgusting especially in the 3rd and 4th floor. Also every Monday morning at 6am the cleaning crew is vacuuming the halls while playing music on their speaker phones. We are currently dealing with a hot water outage due to planned maintenance that was supposed to last six hours, we are going day 3 of no hot water. It was sent out to the community that the repair was supposed to be done by a licensed technician but wasn't...What? How do you not know that? This could have been avoided All this on top of what is already mentioned in the other reviews, rude staff (mainly Melissa), thin walls, dogs barking, etc.. read more

Two years in this unit and 9 exterminations later, including 2 actisol treatments that fumigated my apartment and killed a $500 plant, here's the bugs that I'm left with. Each sheet was left out less than one week and four were placed out at once, to give you a sense of volume. Roaches on the counters, in the dishwasher, everywhere, despite being incredibly clean (as you can see in the video) and NINE exterminations. My husband and I have lived at the Marq for 3 years now. We love the area and overall amenities are great. The reason for the low rating is due to the ongoing issues with entering the building - key fobs not working, elevator constantly broken and the package room unavailability. The management team is not responsive to my emails when I write to share previous concerns so maybe CWS as a whole will notice or respond to my review. The ongoing issues with entering the building to my unit is unacceptable, especially because there is not another way to enter for security reasons. Myself and another resident were stranded in the garage for an hour until another resident came out and allowed us into the building. None of the entrances worked on any of the floors, the immediate solution would have been to enter the main lobby with my code, take the elevator to my floor and enter from inside. However, the elevator is broken and the door to enter stairway wouldn't work either. When I called "24 hour emergency service" a representative said he would dispatch help but I would be charged $75 - which is unacceptable as it was the apartment electrical issue and not because I forgot my key. The last 4x this happened all within a year were an equal inconvenience as I recently returned from a long trip and had to carry luggage up the stairs. This morning I was late for work because I couldn't get into my own apartment. I'm happy to discuss alternatives to key fobs as they often don't work to enter the garage and package room is often broken / unavailable too. I've been patient with all the other mishaps, no hot water, no water at all due to scheduled maintenance, dirty carpet floors, and smelly grounds but today's incident truly topped my patience especially for the price we pay to live here. read more

I am not sure where to begin. My apartment is amazing. I love my kitchen and concrete floors. The amenities are phenomenal and the service is amazing. The customer service here is awesome. I've received friendly, and fast attention. They even know my kids' names, Hildi & Lilo. And just for a comparison, I had a very similar finish out, 500 sq. ft studio in San Francisco for $3300 + $300 parking (negotiated). Here, I have a 840 sq. ft. apartment for $1800 with FREE parking. Terrible experience with the staff and leasing office. My roommate and I were shown a unit which we liked and decided to apply for. We submitted payment for all of the fees and completed all requirements. We were accepted and ready to move in, 4 days before my move in date I got a call from Chastity and was told the unit was not available and was being given to someone else because she forgot to update the availability of the unit. We were left without an apartment at a time of need and to top it off, it has been a couple of weeks and we still haven't gotten our refund. They were unable to accommodate for a mistake of their own and only worsened our situation. read more

This is a review for a 504 sq ft studio on the 3rd floor facing Burnet Rd. I lived here from July 2017 - October 2018. APARTMENT - 4/5 - good lighting - material of the white cabinets is pretty crappy. seems like the previous resident broke some so they were held together with hot glue - the blinds for the balcony are awful - love the kitchen and all the counter space. the kitchen island is awesome! - yay ceiling fan - AC is loud - yay washer/dryer in unit - closet in the bathroom could be bigger - perfect size for one person to live/clean, gets pretty crowded if you have 1-2 people over - since it's facing west (Burnet Rd), you see gorgeous sunsets from the balcony! AMENITIES - 5/5 The amenities here are great. The gym is big and has towel service about half the time. The pool and the clubroom are really nice. There is also a theater room and a business center. My favorites are the free HIIT classes (2 times/month) and yoga classes (every Sunday). Caroline and Paula are wonderful instructors! NOISE - 2.5/5 I can't really hear the next door neighbors, which is great! I hear the upstairs neighbors loud and clear though, as well as anyone walking in the hallways. My apartment is right next to Burnet Rd so you do hear street noise, but that actually didn't bother me very much. The sliding balcony door is pretty thick so it blocks some of the noise. This is a dog-friendly community so I did hear a lot of barking as well. Cannot speak for how loud it is living by the pool. SAFETY - 3/5 I feel pretty safe living on a higher up floor. But the business center has been broken into twice since I started living here, and we've gotten emails about people having their storage units and cars broken into. I would not live on the first floor here, although maybe an interior unit would be okay. xD LOCATION - 4/5 Really close to HEB, Walmart, Asahi Imports, 99 Ranch, Hanyang Market, etc. Not a nice place to take a walk. Left turns onto Burnet Rd kind of suck. MAINTENANCE - 4/5 - usually quick and responsive and gets the job done! - when I moved in, my apartment didn't have a toilet paper holder or a towel bar and they installed those for me - sometimes they leave the lights on which is kind of annoying if you're gone for awhile - they also don't seem to clean up (at least not thoroughly) if they did something that made a mess (i.e. lots of dust after drilling) MOVE-OUT PROCESS - 5/5 Easy and relatively painless. Melissa was a huge help! This is the best move out process I've had with an apartment complex! Random notes: - not much visitor parking because visitors cannot park behind the resident gate, and there are a lot of reserved spots for Pour House Pub etc - they do nice little things, for example they had an event where they put a cookie on every resident's door - they gave out free reusable shopping bags and water bottles - the hallways are air-conditioned! this made moving in during the summer way better - I HAVE NEVER SEEN A ROACH IN MY APARTMENT! -APPLAUDS- -knocks on wood- My biggest problems with the apartment are usually caused by other residents. Like how the theater room was closed for a long time because someone's dog peed or pooped in it? And how residents ran into the gate in the parking garage so the gate had to be left open for a long time before it could be fixed, which felt unsafe to me. Also, finding dog poop in the stairwells. Now that the apartment has reached full capacity, driving and finding parking in the parking garage is kind of inconvenient. Living here was much nicer when I first moved in and the building wasn't at full capacity. All in all, the best apartment complex I've lived in. I'll miss it! read more

I love my apartment. I don't use the amenities because other people are using them and people are gross. While the actual apartment is lovely, the staff running this complex are completely and utterly useless. Sure, they treat you like royalty when you move in but after that, good luck ever getting a response to emails or concerns. There have been multiple thefts from the package room. The latest happened over Christmas and a LOT people had packages stolen. Not a single peep from the complex about it. NOTHING. Zero response to either of my emails and the "manager" is never there. I had to go down in person twice (no manager to be found!) only to basically be told that yes, there was a theft but that the theft victims have to figure out how to get replacements for our stolen packages on our own. There was apparently no official police report filed, no acknowledgement, nothing. Additionally, there has been zero effort made to further secure the room. The boilers broke for several days during the winter storm in 2021 and are broken again to my apartment at least. When they were broken last year, it took the complex a whole day to bother letting anyone know they'd been fixed. This time, they fixed 3/4 boilers and I guess that's good enough for them and they've stopped sending updates. Now that it's going on day two with no hot water to my apartment, I can't get a reply to my email. This place is NOT cheap. To be completely ignored after paying so much to live here is insulting and unprofessional. I just want to know WTF is going on. Why is that so difficult? Besides the total lack of customer service, the hall carpets are perpetually disgusting, almost no one abides the mask requirements and people throw their trash in the halls. I had one instance of someone throwing a half full cup of fountain soda at my door and garbage cans. But again, no word from the complex when things like that happen. For one they made my move in the easiest it could have possibly been and the front office is absolutely miles high apart compared to any other leasing office that I have ever dealt with. Lived here for over a year Good: Gym is one of the best apartment gyms I've used or seen - People who live here are generally chill and to themselves -Business center is very convenient and rarely full -Pool, lounge, hammock, amenities are solid -Apartment interiors are nice and maintainence even is REALLY fast and responsive -Very convenient place to live, from the parking structure, to the set, club room etc. Cons: -Interior Carpet is really dirty and has many stains -Safety appears to be an issue as had many car and storage break-ins. They did however get a security guard who was visible so credit due there. -Front office may be the biggest weakness (but mainly Melissa) little attempt at customer service. Feels like you are inconveniencing/annoying her when you are talking to her about anything basic from mail to maintenance. Lindsey is chill and the other lady is the nicest by far. Just don't feel like a resident should be walking on shells with the office head. My partner noticed the same thing. In general, would live there again, was good for the time I was there! read more

Pretty good apartments! I haven't rented much in my life, and the Marq on Burnet is the longest I have ever lived in a rental property at around 2.5 years. This is actually the only property that I've completed a full lease in, and I even renewed it and completed that one too! I would have renewed my lease again except I purchased a home. The good: -maintenance is quick and efficient. I never had any issues with maintenance fixing something the same day I put in a request (including, my dishwasher died and they replaced the pump immediately!) -energy efficient. My power bills were typically around $50/month -Quiet: yes, there is a landscaper and a motorcycle shop on the street behind the property. The landscapers are there early, and the motorcycles sometimes rev their engines. Otherwise, the unit itself was quiet and I didn't hear much noise from within the building/neighbors. -pool: at many apartments, the pool courtyard is tiny and doesn't get much sun. Not the case here! There's lots of sun, and almost never had an issue finding a chair. The not so good: -hallways: the hallway carpets are gross. They were gross when I moved in, and I'm not sure if they were ever cleaned in the 2.5 years I lived here. Due to valet trash, the halls are also filled with trash cans (and their smells) starting at 6pm, 5 nights a week. Please clean these carpets!! -parking: Access to the gated parking is reserved for residents with a sticker, and residents are reminded often that they aren't supposed to park outside the gate as the un-gated area often fills up. I never had an issue finding a space, but sometimes the guest parking would be full. The top floor of the garage is always empty, so it would have been great to allow escorted visitors to park up there to free up a little more of the open parking. read more

Kind of crazy to see all of these negative reviews...All I can say is that I wouldn't put much stock in them. I've lived here for over a year and it's been the best experience since I've lived in Austin (9 years now). The office staff and maintenance staff are extremely friendly, helpful, personable, and always throwing great events for the community. I have not had many issues with my apt, but when I do, maintenance handles it immediately. You cannot beat the location and the amenities are some of the best I've seen at any apt complex. It's really awesome that you do not get charged for a parking spot in the garage, unlike many other places around the city that charge $75+. They are super dog friendly and always have snacks for my pup when I walk her through the lobby. Having dog-friendly Pourhouse on the first floor is not too shabby either. Truly, the only thing on my wish-list would be a little stronger water pressure on the 5th floor during peak times in the day. read more

The apartement is lovley. It feels like home, the walls are thick, and the amenities are well kept. A few things that could be better: 1. 3 boxes of my stuff were stolen from my car out of the parking lot when I moved in 2. Staff response time could be much faster 3. It is kind of hurtful for management to jump straight into thinking that I am not a resident before I said anything about being a resident or not. I was not a resident at first but became a resident. I can't help but guess where this perception comes from, and my initial thoughts are not great. My interactions with management felt dismissive at best and borderline rude. I normally write positive reviews, but this is not the case. My experience in the apartment unit was average for the price. Walls and floors are typical paper thin, but that's apartment life. Staff was helpful with the exception of one individual. Really just a series of unfortunate events. Here's the rub: Problems started from even before Day 1 and I shouldn't have ignored the signs. I, along with my friend that came to view the apartment with me, were told there was no deposit by the Assistant Community Director, Melissa. Silly me should've gotten that in writing; lesson learned. Come to find out a few days before move-in there *is* a deposit. I escalated the situation to the manager, Mila, who was quite professional. Issue was resolved. No harm no foul. Move-in date: I was told by Melissa I could only move in at 2 pm because that was the time blocked off for me to use the elevator. I did not need the elevator as I was on the second floor and could easily access my unit from the second garage floor. I went to the office in person that morning preparing to explain why I should be able to get my keys for the full day since it's been paid for. Never had to explain that and got my keys no problem from Mila. Ok, cool. Probably just a miscommunication. So, I move in and have an ant problem that first week; my dog's food is infested within 30 minutes of being laid out and he's unable to eat. I call the apartment, and just my luck, it's Melissa (who was likely not happy with me calling out her misleading sales pitch to her boss) on the other end telling me to wait a whole week until pest control makes its weekly round full well knowing the extent of this situation; I also have her response in writing. So I speak to someone else later that day, Matthew, who was able to send out maintenance that same day to patch up the hole these ants were using to crawl in. Didn't cost anyone a thing, why this was not the Assistant Director's first plan of action is beyond me-- unprofessional. Not to mention the balcony door leaked during Harvey that same weekend. I'm on the second floor out of five, but it was quickly fixed so ok... whatever. No one's fault. Some time later, I hear a loud knock on my door only to find a notice stating my dog bit someone and needed to be removed from the premises immediately. This never happened. I was never consulted before this was placed on my door by none other than Melissa. I know this because I called the office to talk about the letter and was told Melissa was still out delivering letters and would call me back. She never did. My dog is an emotional support animal, which was even stated on this notice in bold. So, any intelligent professional would probably be able to gather this situation should be dealt with sensitively. At least not escalated to immediate removal without any basis. This was not the case. Not ok. Once again, very unprofessional. My vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run while in the parking garage literally right in front of the gates and cameras (plural), but I was told they could see nothing really calling into question the efficacy of these cameras. Luckily I was in my vehicle and got the suspect's plates. For what I paid in rent, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for cameras that actually work in front of the only entrance/exit into the gated garage. We all know gates don't stop anyone so at least a camera with a good view... I mean, seriously. I have no doubt this apartment is a happy place to live, but I have never dealt with this level of drama and pettiness. I don't hold apartment staff accountable for situations out of their control, but I do hold them accountable for how they respond. In this case, most everyone was helpful, but it just takes one bad apple to ruin the experience and I think potential renters should be aware that this was at least my experience. My suggestion to apartment: provide thorough training especially for managerial positions and don't try to apologize here, because honestly, it's too late and all this was communicated during my tenancy. My wife and I moved in to the Marq a couple of months ago and love it. Nice well maintained place in a great location. Great pool, great workout facility, great common areas. Parking garage where we can park on our level and walk straight to our apartment. All the things you would hope for in place to live. What prompted this review was the crazy fast response to our first service requests. Today around 4:15pm I went online to the resident web portal to report a sink that needed the stopper adjusted, a wobbly washing machine and a cracked refrigerator handle. I got home around 5:15pm and their maintenance team had already replaced the refrigerator handle, adjusted the stopper and leveled the washer. Amazing. read more

I haven't moved in yet and I already wish I hadn't signed a lease here. If you want to live somewhere that has helpful, respectful and responsive leasing agents and management, don't live at Marq on Burnet. I've sent four emails on the same topic requesting confirmation of receipt and have not received a response. My realtor has sent another two emails and not received a response. I'm not asking the office to do anything but confirm receipt of an email by responding to one of the six emails sent on my behalf. After I couldn't get an email response, I contacted CWS, the company that owns Marq. I was told to give Marq 48 hours to get in contact with me and then contact CWS again if I hadn't heard back. This happened three times until CWS told me they couldn't do anything else on my behalf. Are my emails being ignored? If so, that's incredibly disrespectful and a terrible business model. Are my emails getting lost in the shuffle? If so, I worry about the competency of a team that can't keep track of 9+ communications on the same subject. I've also called a few times a day as my job allows, and the person I need to get in contact with has not been available (which is understandable - I get that the team is often busy with clients). However, I've also called (still during business hours) and had no one pick up the phone multiple times. This is getting insanely frustrating. Maybe a 1-star review will finally make Marq start paying attention to its tenants again. read more

I have rarely written a yelp review, but I felt it necessary to give an honest assessment of my experience for potential tenants interested in living here. My wife and I moved here due to a recent job change and the need for a short term lease. In that regard, this place has met our needs. We felt like the overall experience has not been terrible, though we are excited to be moving out. Our line in the sand happened while we were out of town this past weekend. We received a call from the front manager asking if we had "left our storage unit open" and that "they made sure and closed it for us, no worries". We were led to believe that we had accidentally left our unit open and that they had gone out of their way to protect us by closing it for us while we were away. We were even grateful because we knew something like that can happen to anyone, and to have a management team that looks out for you is expected. Needless to stay, OUR UNIT (and MANY others) HAD BEEN ROBBED. We returned 5 days later to find all my wife's jewelry had been taken unbeknownst to us. Not only that, but the raided jewelry box was wide open, front and center and empty by the door with drill holes in it. My frustration is not that we had all the jewelry my wife's grandmother passed down to her (among every other sentimental pieces she owns) taken, however painful. It was in the complete dishonesty and forthrightness in the message, with management posturing as our protector but in reality working with a CYA mentality, which has put us 5 days behind the thief and wherever he has pawned our irreplaceable items off to. To find out the way we did-- after calling to place a police report and then finding out through the cops that it was a rampant problem in our building with many units across the hall also being robbed-- was truly one of the worst displays of business integrity and failure of baseline management skills I have yet to see. We were blindsided. Again, I hate to write reviews like this but I hope that this will protect any future tenants from having a similar experience. read more

Amenities here are great and the price you'll pay is good for the area. Their leasing office has some work to do in how responsive they are to concerns and issues. We had an issue occur and so won't be continuing to live here, but the regional director of CWS was able to step in and make us feel like our inconveniences were heard. read more

I couldn't agree with both Robert M. and Vince B. more. I have lived here for 10 months and am counting down the days until my lease expires. The construction of the facility is poor at best. There is paint all over my "hardwood" floors from the original construction, I have mold growing out of my ceiling and paint is peeling off from moisture from the A/C unit. The hallway carpet is disgusting and the wear-and-tear is really SHOWING. Residents allow their pets to urinate inside so it smells terrible, and there is constantly trash piled in the garage. I would hate to see what this place looks like in a couple years. Thanks God I'll be out of here in four months. I brought some coworkers over to check out the community and their only comment was "it looks cheap." Similar to Vince B's experience, I was also locked out of the apartment one evening when management decided to deactivate my key fob. Fortunately I was able to text another tenant that lived there, and she let me in. When I complained to the front desk attendant, he laughed at me. Apparently this man couldn't understand why it would be upsetting for a lone female to be locked out of the building at night. The parking garage is a death trap. It is just a matter of time before someone gets in a head on collision. I had to beg management just to put up speed limit signs (which they did finally do). Apparently the mirrors and/or speed bumps I suggested weren't in the budget. I would only recommend this place as a bad joke to someone I disliked. P.S. I couldn't help but chuckle ironically at management's response to Robert M. around elevator safety. The inspection certificates in the elevator have been expired since 2/28/2017. So there's that... Also, I have met with Mila and her predecessor Sara (both with current management company CWS) in person more than once in addition to sending multiple emails. Despite the public comments here, they are very slow to respond and their communication is generally poor. read more

I live here. The apartment is great. The people are fine. The amenities are great. You know what isn't great? Being locked out of your apartment for over 2 hours and NO ONE RESPONDING TO ANYTHING. 'We'll create a service request'. Are you joking? Are we in a college dorm? It should take maximum of 20 minutes. That would be a reasonable time to find a representative WHO LIVES IN THE BUILDING to get a hold of. I am blown away at the absolutely ridiculous response time and I will not re-up my contract and will look to terminate immediately. No one could give me a number for a member on-site and no one has helped me figure this out in the slightest. Do not rent here. Go get a house or any other apartment around the area. read more

Do not live here if you value your sanity or common courtesy and professionalism from your leasing staff. We have had MANY noise complaints each of which have been reported. Every time the response isn't "thank you for telling us, we're sorry that you're having to deal with that." Honestly if they just showed minimal courtesy we would have been ok. Instead they dismissed every one of our problems. Here's the whole list of issues we have had: 1) apartment was not cleaned before move in and one shower didn't work. The washer and dryer had literal dirt in it. As well as the dishwasher and shower. 2) Power going out constantly. 3) Walls are PAPER thin. You can hear every step people above you take. No joke. 4) In less that three months our Fobs die and we have no way into our building. We just moved in..you couldn't give us new batteries? When I go to the office to tell them the problem Melissa grabs my keys from me. Like my entire keychain with all my personal keys without saying a word goes into another room for 5 minutes. And returns hands me the keys and I leave. No "just a sec let me take your keys and check. Oh I see the battery is out let me change it. Thanks for being patient,here are your keys back". I was lucky that I came home when the leasing office was open otherwise I would be stranded. But she didn't seem to much care I mean she had to change a battery. 5) Packages have been withheld because of the new package room. Very unprofessionally 6) Package was almost lost. 7) Water pressure on bathroom sinks is nonexistent. Put in a work order, nothing changed. I know there is a difference in pressure because there was ALSO an instance where the water was turned off many times unexpectedly. And between the time where is was turned back on the water pressure significantly decreased. It's the tiniest stream of water now. Takes a lot longer to wash hands and face. 8) The treadmills and elliptical machines in the gym are never all working. There's a TV on each of them. None of them work. The row machines also have been broken for days. They don't care. 9) This list could go on. Just don't live here. There is no professionalism here. It's in fact straight up rude. I have heard many other tenants complain too. This is not a one off review. It's the actual experience of most tenants here, I made sure. The leasing office does not care about their tenants. They see you as a dollar sign and could care less if your happy once you sign. read more

I really don't get some of the bad reviews. I have an internal unit so the motorcycle shop noise doesn't affect me, I get how that could be annoying. I absolutely love my apartment here! The property is really dog friendly. The staff is so great, even after you've signed your lease (not like some other places I've lived). They do fun events for residents like Wine Down Wednesday and free breakfast tacos. The gym is bigger and better than any other apartment I've lived in, the pool is beautiful, and there's a cool theater room. Overall, the amenities, staff, and service are wonderful and I really couldn't be happier! Thanks Matt, Mila, and Melissa! I love it here! read more

Pros: FRONT OFFICE STAFF are wonderful, especially Jorge and Matt! cute apartments, but lots of wasted space and on the small side for the price and location. Neighborhood comps are bigger and less expensive. Cons: way overpriced, especially given the weird workmanship. Drawers the width of an envelope are useless, light fixtures, while cute, aren't even aligned correctly! Obviously, that's not the fault of current management, but leaving the halls painted like the Overlook Hotel, in The Shining, is. Guys, its way creepy. Removing a couple telecom rooms to add in an elevator wouldn't be a bad idea either. read more

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews on here - but I imagine some of that is leftover from previous management. I absolutely LOVE living here. I used to live over on East 7th street and was paying almost $150 more for a smaller place (nearly 200 sq feet!). I love my apartment - it's spacious, huge butcher block island, and beautiful white cabinets. 2 of my friends live in this building as well and I've had nothing but positive things to say. They now have a switchboard for maintenance request so I'm guessing emergencies will be fixed much faster than previous management. The pool is fantastic and gets tons of sunlight pretty much from 10 - 6. The front office is always friendly and now that the Barley Bean opened I now have a little market right in my building if I need anything! read more

Although I wish the action had been taken sooner and without the need for this review, I now consider the matter resolved. Thanks, Holyce" --------------------------------------------------- Edit 1: Hi Holyce, If you're serious about redefining my experience, I'll tell you exactly where you cans start: Issue me a rent concession equal to whatever you estimate is the value lost on a $1400/month apartment when not having promised internet connectivity for more than two weeks while trying to make a good first impression at a remote job in a new city. Perhaps factor into your estimate the two days I spent waiting around in an empty, unconnected apartment just to have Grande fail at installing my internet and all the days in between I spent trying to overcome the stonewall erected by Lyndsay Nylander. This is not only a customer services issue (although it is indeed that). It's also a breach of warranty/DTPA issue, and I would prefer to settle it in easiest way possible. However, what I really want, more than any amount of money, is for the Marq/CWS to take actual responsibility for what happened instead of just paying lip service to the problem. -------------------------------------------------- Initial Review: I was promised a unit with ready access to internet and cable service. However, as I discovered after moving into my unit and paying for such service, the apartment I received was not wired correctly for internet service. As a result, I was not able to get internet in my apartment during my first two weeks at a new job in a new city. The Marq, and specifically Lindsay Nylander, refused to take any responsibility or offer any reasonable compensation/concessions for the breach of warranty. I was instead referred to the clause in my lease allowing me to break the lease and move into a different unit within the first 30 days. Even if I weren't a wheelchair user and unable to move an entire apartment without great expense, the inconvenience of this so-called solution would have been worse than the problem itself. Moreover, no one in the apartment took it up on themselves to follow up with the ISP to ensure that the problem was resolved as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, I wasted two separate days of my life waiting around for my ISP to twice attempt and fail to install my internet. I will never rent another apartment from the Marq or any CWS owned property as long as I live. And all of this could have been avoided if someone, anyone in the leasing office, had taken responsibility for the fact that they sold me a unit that was not as described. read more

I've lived here since it basically opened in the summer of '16 and I love it. This complex is dope and better than all the other complexes I've lived in. Everything is new, updated and fantastic. I spent a lot of time in the Club Room (mostly during the World Series #GoCubsGo) because the set up is fantastic. Everyone is also super friendly and we all get along. They're not fake nice either which is a plus. The management is super diligent in making sure that we all get to know each other so they host a lot of events; they're not trash either. This is very disturbing when you call the office about your refund check and they just simply hung up the phone on you. Manager mentioned at earlier conversation, that they re-issued another check and sent out on Friday, check never arrived just like the first one. Now they want you to call corporate office if you have any problem. The assistant community director gave me this # 512-837-3028 two weeks ago, what I called a few times but no one ever answered the phone or returned my call. Office workers they need to be sure once you no longer live there, to keep you informed about your refund until you receive it. Since I called them multiple times, from now I need the corporate office to contact me directly since the manager and assistant community director not willing to help me, after they hung up the phone multiple times!!! read more

Matt in the leasing office has gone above and beyond even after I moved in. The entire staff has been great, including maintenance. Also they honored the agreements made with the previous leasing company even though they have different guidelines. Really appreciate these folks and how they do business thus far. read more
