I went to a different urgent care after my visit here with you, at your "Urgent Care Facility". The prognosis that was found was at my new, 2 d Urgent Care visit was that I have Medial & lateral Epicondylitis in my right arm. I was prescribed and given a steroid shot in my arm which subsided the discomfort after a few minutes by 60%, or so. I was also prescribed oral steroids for 14 days & provided with a note for light duty from work for two weeks. I hate this place and absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. Unfortunately its the closets place. 1. They do not prioritize pain, my daughter had 2nd degree burns, waited almost an hr for the RN finally to see her and turn her away. The front of the house should be trained to know whatbis treated at the facility or isnt. Or at least give the smallest of care amd ask the doc to come to the front intead of us waiting in pain only to be turned away. After being refused care at another urgent care in Pacific Beach, I came here hoping for a better experience--and they exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the entire process was seamless. I completed my paperwork on my phone, was seen quickly, received excellent care, and the discharge process was just as efficient. I went in because my 4 year old son fell on his chin. I requested glue. The Dr. didn't even look closely at his chin, denied the glue, told us he needed stitches and sent us to the ER. I ended up paying $1300 at the ER for the glue. Stitches were not necessary, it was an abrasion. read more

This is the worst urgent care i've ever experienced in my life. I was there for 3 hours. They tested me for strep twice (because they lost the first test) and covid once. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nobody told me the results of the tests.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the ladies said "I assume it was negative or the Dr. would've come back, but you're still being treated for strep."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had an ear infection too but didn't know until I got to the car to read the papers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the dr. told me was "You might have an ear infection idk, it might be an allergic reaction" ????[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told them I couldn't take a specific medication and needed a doctor's note. They prescribed me that medication and had to come back in for a Dr.'s note twice and was met with attitude for no reason. It's the next day and I still don't know what's wrong w me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also have to make a telehealth appointment for an actual Dr.'s note because they don't listen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Little did I know this is the place where my best friend went a couple months ago when she was having problems with her blood pressure medication. She was in tears explaining to them her problems. They sent her home and told her to drink gatorade. She ended up in the ER a couple days later. Family member had potential broken bone so I called the number online to make sure there was an x-ray tech there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Routed me to a call center, who told me there was an x-ray tech on duty and would be there until 8 PM.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went to the office right away, hours before the x-ray tech was supposed to leave, and was told there was no x-ray tech on duty, and it appeared. I have the flu or Covid or some nasty virus, but I was literally delirious for 24 hours and then dragged myself in for an appointment. I was told that the doctor was in a meeting and that I could wait 45 minutes for him to be out or do a telehealth visit. This is frustrating because I could've done the telehealth visit from home. I opted for the telehealth and laid in a room in front of a giant screen for 45 minutes and nobody showed up. I had to go out and find somebody and ask about it. By that time the doctor was off of their lunch and I was seeing in person. When I asked why they scheduled people during a doctor's lunch they said it was "corporate" and they had no control over and it was "in the fine print." I'm too tired to get into how I really feel but this is the world we live in. Beware. I had a 30 minute drive to another Marque and the wait is 2 hours. Inexcusable! All medical staff should have a back up if I was a critical care RN for 40 years! We NEVER went without back up. I have had positive experiences with Marque Urgent Care in the past, however, I was extremely disappointed by my most recent visit! I was scratched by the neighbor's outdoor cat (which is probably not up to date on any vaccines) and my hand and fingers began to swell. I waited about an hour to see if the swelling would go down, but it seemed to be spreading more widely across my hand. Before heading to urgent care, I looked on the website to confirm that Marque was open. Not only did the website list that they were open, but also gave an estimated waiting time of 5 to 10 minutes. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk told me that they were not accepting walk-ins and that they don't take patients after 4:40 PM. When I pointed out that it was not yet 4:40, her reply was "well, 4:30, 4:40." I'm not sure what that means... The staff just changes the time they close, depending on whether or not they want to see patients or too lazy and change the times depending on when they feel like it?! On a typical day I would be more flexible, however, this was during hurricane Hillary. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that the healthcare professionals would not take 30 seconds to look at my hand and fingers to see if I needed attention, and instead forced me to drive over 30 minutes in heavy rain and wind to be seen by another center. I completely understand that 20 minutes prior to closing is cutting it close, but all I wanted was a quick glance from the doctor to know whether or not it was serious and needed attention elsewhere, considering I would have to drive a distance in hazardous road/weather conditions and risk my safety for no reason if it wasn't an urgent manner. Very disheartening because my belief is that if you are going to go into healthcare, it should be because you want to help and actually care about people's well-being. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. The PA that works there is a complete quack! Not only is the wait extremely long, but this guy ( I cant remember his name) dark hair, tall, if you see him , you better run. First, he didn't even examine me, I told him I had pain on the side of my body, I lifted my shirt to show him, he immediately backed up like I had leprosy, and right off the bat he told me I have Shingles. I have zero rash and absolutely nothing indicating that I do. Then he hurried me out of there. He saw me for less than 2 minutes. Complete waste of time. Made me extremely uncomfortable. Very disappointed with the service at Marques Urgent Care in Pacific Beach. Why take appointments if you don't respect them? I had a scheduled time but was made to wait while a walk-in family was taken ahead of me just because their child was crying. No one even asked what was wrong with me -- I was in pain, but they didn't seem to care. The front desk staff were rude and dismissive, showing no concern for patients. The only positive part of my visit was the nurse, who was kind and professional. Unfortunately, the poor treatment from the front desk completely overshadowed that. They have X-rays on their website (see my photo). I get here. Hobble in. And then they inform me it's "be down for 2 years and I can go to their UTC location". But I feel like a dick writing this. After not being able to see my primary I was referred to another Urgent Care inPB. The front desk employee was rude, disinterested in helping me and then told me a doctor wouldn't be able to see me until 5pm. It was 8:30am. I then went to Marque Urgent Care waited for them to open at 9am. I was greeted right away by Anel who was very nice and helpful. Didn't wait long and Leanne the medical assistant called me back. She was kind and explained everything she was doing and why. Then I saw Ryan the PA and he helped me with my ear problems and was very compassionate, gentle and patient. I received a follow up text to see how I was doing and the urgent care called me right back. I was very impressed with my first experience at Marque Urgent Care. read more

2.5 hr wait for a 4:30 appointment. Only 1 provider on staff on a Monday. They should do better than this.

I made a appointment with the staff last Th for Monday appointment. When entered the Urgent Care, the medical assistant told me to wait for my time. After an hour waiting, I approached and ask when will I be called. Then she ask me to check in, and I did. After half more hours, she told me my insurance won't be covered anymore. This is very unprofessional to bring a patient and not knowing what to expect. My time and the service was very unexpected and unprofessional. read more

Made an appointment for 11 am because I woke up concerned I had strep. I waited 20 min until they made me take a Covid, flu and strep test. After the results came in, they told me I could wait in the waiting room to see the doctor. I asked if I could head home since I lived so close and they said it would only take 30 min. I didn't get seen until 2 pm and then I was put into a room and waited another 30 min. The doctor said I didn't have strep and testing for strep c/g wasn't necessary since it's less common even though I told her I've had it before. They told me to rest and take Tylenol and gave me a prescription to pick up for extra strength Tylenol which took another 15 min of sitting there and then I just ended up leaving. I was miserable, very sick with a fever and had made an appt to avoid this long wait. Two days later I was worse and went to a different urgent care and they tested me for strep c/g in which I did in fact test positive for and got the necessary antibiotics + additional medication to help. Some of the staff was nice but the PA was rude and barely asked me anything. Otherwise I would not recommend this place- very unorganized. read more

MORE LIKE DELAYED CARE! Honestly, I don't see how this place has good reviews. Their check in process is awful. The front desk girls aren't very professional or organized. Just the whole vibe of this place was off. Tried calling multiple times to the number listed on here and google and even paperwork from a recent visit after going through the automated system, no one ever answered went straight to voicemail with a "mailbox is full" message. It took about an hour and a half to be seen when there was only a handful of people in the waiting area. Not sure what kind of system they run but they kept calling people back that had already been seen, lack of communication? I have never been treated as poorly or disrespectfully by a medical provider as I was by Dr. Al-Quarani. He should truly re-evaluate if urgent care - medicine in general, actually - is a field he belongs in. I brought my 70-year-old father, who recently suffered a stroke and is dealing with aphasia, into the office for an urgent medical concern. If you have a father born in the same generation as mine, then you know the struggle it is to get them to agree to seek medical care. Not only did Dr. Al-Quarani become immediately offended when I asked if there was another possibility as to why my father was in his office, but when I pulled out my phone to discuss with my husband (a medical professional), Dr. Al-Quarani demanded to know, "Who are you calling?" I didn't answer his demand at first due to pure shock. I finally responded that I was calling my husband for further guidance, and then asked if there was another provider in the office that I could see instead. He replied, "No, just me. Lucky you," in the most condescending tone imaginable. He then stood up, opened the exam room door, and announced loudly to staff that he was refusing to provide services to my father. We both sat there in complete shock. My brother contacted the office requesting the medical director's name and phone number, to discuss the matter, and he was given the run-around. No one would disclose to him the medical director's name and they told him that they would call our father directly. Our father cannot have a conversation because he is incapacitated due to the stroke he suffered recently. Instead, the office manager, Michelle, called me no less than 6 times, repeatedly, while my father and I were down the street being seen by another medical provider at another urgent care clinic. Based on how we were treated by Dr. Al-Quarani, I am not comfortable having a phone conversation and will be happy to discuss it in writing. Perhaps Marque Medical is a decent urgent care clinic. I'll never know, as I will never attempt to receive care there again. I can tell you that Dr. Al-Quarani is not a decent medical doctor, let alone a human being. If you're looking for truly good, quality care from medical doctors who care, go to San Diego Sports Medicine just down the road on Garnet. We were in and out of there in less than an hour, with a diagnosis and medication, and we were treated respectfully every step of the way. read more

Arrived early, and 5 minutes prior to my appointment they tell me they don't accept my insurance. Which they would've contacted me prior once they noticed that.
