MinuteClinic refused to give me a physical because I am over 35 years old. The law states that the doctor cannot refuse to treat the patient solely based on age. MinuteClinic is In Network on our insurance, so I made an appointment online and read all of their agreement and policy. I filled out all my information, including my birthdate and age. The website and application process never said there was an age limit for services at MinuteClinic. Their website says: "MinuteClinic makes it easy for older patients to get the care they need. So much so, that in February 2022, MinuteClinic was recognized for achieving 'Age-Friendly Health Systems-Committed to Care Excellence' in all of our clinics across the United States. This officially makes MinuteClinic the largest retail clinic network in the U.S. to adopt Age-Friendly care system-wide." "We offer several common screening tests for seniors," "If you're 65 or older, you may be eligible for a free wellness visit through Medicare. This visit includes a review of your medical history and health screenings for conditions that are common in older adults, such as high blood pressure and diabetes." When you press on health screenings, it shows you "Physicals" and "Tests and Screenings". It does not state anywhere that there is an age limit. I signed up for an "Annual Wellness Check-Up" under "Physicals". It does not state anywhere on their website that they only do diabetes and cholesterol tests for older adults. When we got to MinuteClinic, I tried to sign into the check-in kiosk, but it did not work. Then I tried again and it finally worked. We waited for over half an hour after my appointment time. The nurse asked me what I wanted done. I said I signed up for an Annual Wellness Check-Up. She said she can't give me a physical because MinuteClinic does not give physicals for people over 35 years old. I told her I signed up on their website and put my age and birthdate and it did not say anything about an age limit. She said their website does not have all their policies. I said I would like some tests and screenings. She said she can only do cholesterol and diabetes tests on people over 35. She said the other tests are part of a physical and she can't do a physical on people over 35. She said that if they do the tests, then people over 35 still have to go to another primary care physician and get the tests done again. This is not an "Age-Friendly Health System". This is false advertisement and age discrimination. read more

Ann was amazing. I came in in so much pain and she took me more seriously than anyone I had told about how I was feeling. She asked about how I would like a treatment plan to go- gave me something to get me through the pain- and suggested blood work because there is obviously a deeper issue. I think most people write reviews when they are upset- but what a wonderful experience during a difficult time. I hope my new regular doctor is as kind and intelligent as Ann. read more

Came in hoping for a quick tb test. I came in over the weekend to get the initial shot. The initial visit didn't require a terribly long wait, a 45 minute wait. However, the follow up visit for the reading, which is time sensitive, was a nightmare. They're online check in system did not work, so I went into the cvs as a walk-in mid-day and the wait was estimated at 2 1/2hrs! So, I came back in the evening for my set appointment at 5:00. A few minutes late but they had seen another patient and now waiting again. . . 40 minutes and time is still ticking away . . . Btw the computer system wouldn't let me sign in, so how are they supposed to know when people come by?? Oh and the cost of the tb test was expensive especially compared to others in the past! $65-$35 for the first visit, $30 for the reading. Will not be coming back. read more

The visit started out great and the practitioners were friendly... after I left and began to take the medicine I'd been prescribed, I had an allergic reaction and they prescribed another, unfortunately I became very ill on that one. So I called back once and was told I'd be called back later that day, which is fine. The day was coming to an end and I hadn't heard back so I called again, because I was feeling really bad. The receptionist seemed a bit annoyed that I was calling again (maybe she was ready to go home at that point), and told me that the nurse practitioners knew they needed to call me back... But I never received a call back, it's been weeks. Thank goodness I've gone to urgent care and gotten proper treatment from the medical professionals there. read more

If you are coming here make sure you check in online first. Had a great experience this Saturday evening getting a Physical for work with Nurse Practitioner Christine Alberto. She was super sweet throughout. I checked in online and there was an 18 minute wait. So got to their location in 15 minutes, took me three minutes to check-in their computer and waited another 7-10 minutes before getting my named called. I liked the computer check-in process so I didn't have to repeat all my information over. Some of it was already saved from the online check-in. Previous years, I've had like a half-gallon of blood taken out by other providers such as Quest Diagnostics and results weren't available for a couple of days. Getting the results myself was also not convenient. Here, only a pinch in the finger and results available immediately both printed and sent to my employer. $35 dollars more but worth my time and blood. Now I can fill my questionnaire with the results and get a $500 insurance credit my work offers for doing this :) See you next year! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I came here on a busy day expecting a wait - 2 hours and 52 minutes, which was fine. On the sign-in kiosk, there was an option to get a 30 minute text prior to the appointment. Figured I would go out and run errands while I waited, so I signed in, input my phone number, got it all confirmed and left to do my business. 2 and a half hours passed with no text message. I figured they were probably taking longer than anticipated but proceeded to head over anyway during rush hour. When I got there, my name was no longer on the kiosk. There was no text message to notify me of anything, and just like that, my spot was gone. I tried to sign back in at 5:15 but was denied since it was too close to "closing time" which is 6:30. There were only two patients in front of me, seriously? When I told the manager that the text feature for the kiosk wasn't working, he basically told me he couldn't do anything about it since it was all up to the nurse practitioner. I waited around for a good half an hour to hopefully speak with the NP but she was still in with a patient. To make matters worse, the next patient in line had a 0 wait time according to the kiosk but she was still waiting close to a half hour longer than anticipated. I don't know about other minute clinics out there, but I am officially turned off for good! read more

Dr. Thebo didn't want to take the time to listen to me or hear me out. Horrible service and completely awkward. Spent 40$ for him to tell me what I already know. Just read the report and said I didn't have symptoms that I have. Really shocked that he is in an industry of helping people because I felt the complete opposite. Don't waste your time!! read more

Came here on a sunday to get some antibiotics for an eye infection. got there before they opened around 8:50. I was the first one there but soon after there was already 3-4 people waiting after me. The kiosk opens shortly after the np arrives, which was at around 8:57 for me. she checked my vitals and got a medical history quickly and i was out in about 20 minutes with my rx. unfortunately the pharmacy doesnt open until 10 so i had my rx sent to a different pharmacy read more

VERY PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A CLINIC I waited nearly a FULL 2 hours to see a "physician", with only 4 people in front of me at the start. (The name 'Minute Clinic' is a joke, as each patient takes on average from 25-35 minutes- I can't understand how this place can expect to make money seeing one customer every half hour.) Once you actually see the "physician", at least 15 minutes is spent just filling out a computer prompted background information and medical "exam" that I could have done on my own. I had a nasty respiratory infection and deep windpipe cough/mucus that followed on the tail end of being sick for a week with a cold/flu. (I know my body pretty well and am in good health, and know the difference between a cold/flu virus and a respiratory infection) Having a trip over thanksgiving in 2 days, and NOT wanting it to develop into full blown bronchitis or something from the travel, I just went in to get a quick antibiotic or steroid to make sure it goes away and stays away. After trying to describe my symptoms to the "physician", which she didn't really seem interested in anyways, she said she couldn't find anything wrong with me and wouldn't give me any kind of medicine at all other than cough syrup (even after I repeatedly mentioned that the problem was not in my throat but in my windpipe) I respectfully told her that if there wasn't anything wrong with me than would I really have waited 2 hours to try to get something to fix it? In the end, I wasted 3 hrs of my workday and $80 for absolutely nothing. The others I spoke to in the waiting area and others who had been to this "clinic" before all reported similar wait times and results. Even the other people just waiting in line at the regular pharmacy were probably on average in line 15-20 minutes. Take the extra time to visit a real doctors office, as the "Minute Clinic" will NOT save you any time and will probably not be very beneficial anyways. read more

Though Minute billed random amounts like $25 or $18 or $50, the refund was for $18.99. But insurance companies are corporate weasels always chiseling you with BS fees, so whatever. And we were like, Hallelujah! Finally, Minute Clinic acknowledged our insurance! That was August. Figured the other kid's check would come soon. Today, we received a notice from a collections agency that Minute Clinic demands $21. Yeah, sure. Let's pull another random amount out of our arsehole and call it $21. I thought I might have strep throat and decided to try minute clinic. First time using the service. No one there to help, but the door said to sign in and there was a computer there to sign in. I did it and it told me it would text me 30 minutes prior to my time, which it did (I left and did some shopping a couple miles away--got back in plenty of time). I arrived about 11am. Yes there was a wait (about 1 hour), but I'm sure it would have been as long or longer waiting for a doctor or in urgent care. The nurse practitioner was very professional, nice (yes even funny), and it was about as easy as I could imagine. Got the test, tested positive, she phoned in the prescription to my pharmacy, billed insurance, and I was done. Final cost: $99 for the visit and $30 for the strep test. Now I can understand frustrations with delays; my time with her I'm sure went longer than a typical short visit. Their software could provide better status updates, though I'm not sure how it could possibly know how long my visit was still going to take. The person ahead of me in the computer list (the queue) had 0 minutes with his/her name, so I assume that person was with the nurse (in retrospect). I wavered between 4 and 5 stars for this visit. The software could be better, the check in more intuitive, but compared to urgent care or getting to see my primary care doctor (good luck!), I'd do this again in a heartbeat. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. TB test. Simple. When it was done (first visit) the estimated wait times are an absurd under estimation. It said 46 minutes. I left and came back and I was finally seen 1:26 minutes after checking in. One of the guys standing and waiting with me called it "the waiting room black hole". So here I am waiting again to get it read. I'm trapped now. No other decision. I checked in at 9:46 and it said 12 minutes. It's now 47 minutes later with no explanation. if you value your time do not use this clinic. read more

I've been to this Minute Clinic twice in the last few weeks to get various immunizations for school. Even with appointments made in advance online, I waited well over 20 minutes past my appointment time on each occasion. The first time this happened, the young lady helping me apologized because she needed to finish her administrative work and did not keep track of time. She continued to try to get some of that work done even while helping me out (unprofessional in my opinion). The second time, I found out that the person next to me had an appointment time at 4:03 and mine was 4:00. How does that work when there is only one person to help one patient at a time and appointments will certainly be longer than 3 minutes? Finally after waiting close to 40 minutes that time, the lady stated she didn't know who was next and made it quite awkward asking us to determine who should go in. This Minute Clinic could use some work when it comes to time management and balancing appointments and walk-ins. Just because it is CVS, those working the Minute Clinic should be held to a higher standard of patient care and professionalism. Expect to wait here even with an appointment. read more

Woke up with a sore throat and fever on Saturday. Called CVS and was told the clinic was closed from 2-3p (misinformation for the weekend). I arrived at 130p and the clinic was not open and I was told they left early for lunch. The CVS nurse practitioner (Loretta Mitch-Lynn) was inefficient and provided no relief for my symptoms or any new information that I did not already know. Spent more than an 1.5 hours at the clinic. The nurse practitioner and her LVN assistant were apparently sick and were coughing on me. The uncleanliness of the clinic was unsettling and made me question their professionalism. I will go to my primary care doctor on Monday. The trip was a complete waste of my time, money and provided no help for my illness. I will never go to a CVS Minute Clinic again. read more

If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. I came about a month ago (waited two hours) knowing I had a UTI. Im very prone to them and know when I have one. The physician gave me a 3 day antibiotic and it seemed to have gone away. Ended up having to come back, opened at 10am and it's now 3:15 so I have had my name on the waiting list for FIVE hours. Is this even possible you may ask? Apparently, I'm finally next on the list and she tells me she has to take a lunch. I tell her I'm in agonizing pain and know I have a UTI asking if she can just prescribe me an anti biotic, she says no she will need a urine sample and that she is required to take a lunch from 2-3. It's now 3:15 and she has not come out of the office, I would have 100% have left by now if I wasn't next and in terrible pain. NEVER AGAIN. This place is awful. Do not waste your entire day. I was in tears when I woke up 2 weeks ago and came to the Minute Clinic - I was pretty positive I had strep and I was right! Dr. Anna Joy (not sure last name) was warm, welcoming and informative. I'm mid 20's and I was on the verge of tears due to this on-going sore throat I had and on top of missing 3 days of work I was on the Fritz. The wait was a little longer then anticipated but well worth it. I felt very cared for. She approached me with the cost due to not having insurance and she did it in a way that was kind and she had empathy for me and my finances. Money isnt an issue when it comes to my health but it was refreshing that her, a doctor, cared about my pocket book. (obviously theres nothing she can do about the set cost but her approach with is went a long way) read more
