this is the worst escrow company that i have ever dealt with, extremely unresponsive, slow with every request. When someone finally picked up the call after we left several emails and voicemails, they acted like they were very annoyed and that we were the least important customer to them. Totally zero customer service. They team up with the realtors and provide unethical advices/ promises. As you can see from other comments, do whatever it takes to NOT use this escrow company. If the sellers or their agent force you to use them, definitely try your best to fight it or you should even kill the deal from the get go, because if u dont, Marquis escrow will delay and kill your purchase eventually. I had a very poor experience with this company. The person I worked with was not organized and it was a very unpleasant process. I almost lost the property I was purchasing because of this escrow company. I would definitely recommend using another escrow company. If your lender or the seller compels you to use them, I honestly wouldn't take the chance, search for another company with positive reviews. After some research I discovered that I am not the only person who had a very negative experience with them. read more

Working with this escrow company has been a nightmare!!!!! Our lender sent in a request to them on June 25th, 2013 for loan docs and our loan just funded yesterday July 8, 2013. Every time we called or our lender they would say "we don't know when they will be ready, someone will get back to you.' That never happened. Finally last Wednesday we scheduled an appointment to sign our loan documents. After carefully reviewing the docs we found many mistakes. They did not list the $5,000 credit that was given to us by the seller towards closing cost, they charged us HOA fees when that did not apply to us, they had our Home Insurance listed as State Farm when we had requested AAA, the Appraisal fee should have been waived and it wasn't. After making the Escrow officer aware of all the mistakes she assured us that she would correct them and forward the docs to our lender so that we could close Friday due to the following day being a holiday. Friday came and went and our Escrow officer did not meet the extended deadline that was given to her. We never got a courtesy call back after leaving several messages. Finally our loan got funded yesterday and we had all our hopes up and just received a call from our Realtor that the title company can't record with the county because the title was never cleared. Now we have the escrow company and listing Realtor pointing fingers at one another and not taking any responsibility. As you can see we are not the only people they have taken advantage of. So please stay away from this place. They are not looking out for anyone's best interested but themselves. read more
