This has to absolutely been one of the best Marriott properties that I have stayed at ever. The workers are extremely welcoming and friendly. The feeling of hospitality is front and center. I attended a business conference, and from the cleanliness of my room, to the quality of the food and menu selection, I was throughly impressed. The selection of toiletries were eco-friendly, and healthy for the body. That really resonated with me. The room was pristine, and felt comfortable upon entering. If I am ever in the greater Cinci area again, I will always consider staying at this location. I was also happy to earn some Bonvoy points. I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Mason, Ohio, and I must express my profound disappointment with the maintenance of the facility. During my stay, the heating system in my room was not functioning properly, with the thermostat displaying an error code. Despite reporting this issue in person to the front desk, their response was notably indifferent, as if such problems were a common occurrence. Considering the outside temperature was 19 degrees, it felt like taking a shower in a refrigerator. This situation was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. It is hard to believe that housekeeping was unaware of this issue. I am so thoroughly dismayed at this point. read more

I stayed here while in town to attend a training. Check-in was a breeze. I was offered water upon check-in. They did have limited luggage carts at the front desk. There were many people staying at the hotel for sports events that week. The restaurant at the hotel was expensive. For 2 beers, it was about $30. The restaurant is open until midnight. For breakfast, this hotel only offers complimentary to Marriott members with high status. The fitness area was a decent size. I used it both days that I was there. There are ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights. It felt pretty spacious so multiple guests could work out at a time. There are also warm towels offered in the gym. The room was decent. Coffee maker leaked a little bit. Disappointed in lack of TV stations. For a Marriott, I would think more would be offered. Close to highway, restaurants, and some local shopping. I would stay at this hotel again. read more

My first start out by saying that of all Marriott s I've been to this one smells absolutely amazing, and that's a big plus for me. The staff is wonderful Front Desk is happy to meet with you happy to accommodate any of your needs happy to show you the way to get to the elevator by walking around the desk and showing proper customer service. The rooms are always nice and clean they smell wonderful too. It's not just the lobby that smells good the whole place smells good it doesn't smell musty which I love. I wanna end off with telling you that the m club is worth it. So The person complaining on the review before this about not having a "free" breakfast, you're never going to have a free breakfast at a Marriott for all of you who don't know this so if you're wanting something sort of free pay for the M club!!!!You get a wonderful little meal at night and a wonderful meal in the morning and the amount of money you're paying for M club is as much as you be paying for meal here at Marriott so why not? We recently experienced a devastating loss in our family and decided to check into a hotel for a few days for a relaxation staycation just to get away from everyone and everything. After a lot of research online we decided on this Marriott based on previous experiences with Marriott properties. When we arrived there was only one maybe two other cars in the entire parking lot. Great! Just what we needed. We went to check in and there was a couple in line in front of us (only one person was working which is understandable due to COVID) The guy at the counter checked in the people in front of us and was walking away from the desk as if my daughter and I weren't standing there waiting. I had to stop him just to check in. That was the first incident. Our plans for this staycation was to just relax and watch movies but couldn't even do that because this (picture) kept popping up on the TV every 5 minutes or so. The maintenance guy came and did nothing. It continued. We dealt with it that first night because by then it was late. They moved us to another room and that television was doing the same but also turning itself off also we were basically told that since we were the only ones having that issue so they couldn't do anything and that we just had to deal with it. The last straw was when the maintenance guy was in our room checking out the TV and the LOCK fell off the room door and he was just going to leave. I asked him to fix the lock and he said "Oh did you want that put back on?"...We are two women in a hotel room and he asked DID WE WANT THE LOCK INSTALLED? At that point I knew it was time to leave. We check out and went to another hotel. I have never had such a bad experience at a Marriott property before now. Very disappointed. read more

No free breakfast. This isn't really a deal breaker for me. it's delightfully located right in the middle of everywhere. we stayed there with my filipino family after a full day at Kings Island. I have an odd modus operandi when staying at hotel with my filipino family. I usually awake before they do and meander around. Walked to an international grocery store. It was acceptable. I come back to hotel having to really use the rest room and I'm talking deuce time. I prefer using the lobby rest room. It's usually very clean and all hotel inhabitants would rather use their room. I don't want my daughters complaining about my thirty minute morning dumps. I entered the hotel from a far side but low and behold there's a public first floor rest room not in the lobby. That's rather odd. Apparently house cleaning didn't know about it either. It was disgusting. The toilet was clogged. The toilet seat appeared to be growing pubes. It was too dirty for my nice clean, non-smelling dumps. It didn't flush either. There was an abandoned towel between the sink and the wall. I thought it may be smart to at least check the toilet paper situation. Since this room was unacceptable in every other regard perhaps i'll check it's toilet paper. I had a HS friend that bragged that he ALWAYS pissed on the seat and he'd always save some for the toilet paper too. This was the 80s and I thought that was messed up. I've noticed he wasn't the only one. It's now nigh impossible to urinate on the toilet paper rolls anymore. their toilet paper was shielded from Lloyd but they weren't there anyway. This left me so mad i wanted to dump in the urinal but i didn't because this was an epic morning dump and I had no toilet paper. read more

Was here for work. Wow, this place looks so much better now that it's remodeled from what I can tell from the pictures. I loved everything about my room from the modern decor, bathroom rain shower head, comfy bed and sheets. Lots of convenient usb plugs. Additionally, the lobby I hear is all remodeled too with lots of cool gathering areas that invites you to hang out. Had the breakfast buffet and was satisfied enough, but mine was complimentary. It was great and staff was friendly and efficient. I've stayed at a couple other hotels in Mason, but will now stay here going forward if I'm ever back here for work. Telling all my co-workers to stay here the next time they are in town for work. read more

The Marriott in Mason preparedness and housekeeping cleanliness in regards to COVID-19 was superior and made for a safe and wonderful experience. They even had a cleanable tv remote control. We really loved our room. The entire hotel was recently renovated. Our beds were the most comfortable and the newly renovated shower was the best we have ever experienced. We would come back just for the shower experience. One of the best stays we experienced. read more

The rooms are nice. I'm here for a group event, and the food isn't great. The spaghetti is very overcooked, the garlic bread is cold and they ran out quickly and served the worst toast I have ever had. The cake was very dry, but the icing was good. They only had 2 dressing options, Caesar and Italian. Also, one of the workers yelled at me for trying to eat the gluten free pasta. But, overall, most of the food was good the rest of my stay and many of the workers were quite helpful. read more

It's a bit older but clean and nice place to stay. It's kind of your classic 1970's/80's convention hotel, with a big atrium in the center and several smaller breakout room off that. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable, and we're quick to answer questions and concerns. Surrounding area has a variety of restaurants, many of them in walking distance. All in all, a good value for the dollar. read more

The hotel was nice and hotel service was good. The bar, however, had poor service. There were 2 bartenders and a bar back working. My husband and I took a seat at the bar and were given cocktail menus. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. I made eye contact with the bartender a few times, but he never came over to take our order. There was a rowdy group of people there, and the bartenders kept going back to them (hoping for a larger tip)? After 30 minutes, we left without ever being acknowledged beyond getting a menu. read more

It's located within walking distance to restaurants such as Applebee's, Noodles, Panda Express, etc. The service is super. The room is super nice and modern. Bathroom is clean. However, the toilet paper is really thin and the toilet is a bit weak when flush. The hotel has two swimming pools: one indoor and one outdoor. They also have an exercise room. read more

I became sick after eating this hotel's breakfast. Asked for late checkout, and they extended checkout by 30 minutes. Wow, thanks so much. I am overwhelmed by your generosity and understanding. They advertise having free wi-fi, however, the signal is so weak, none of us were able to use it. Hotel is in desperate need of renovation. They charge as if you're staying in a modern hotel, but all fixtures and decor are terribly dated. The blankets were comfortable, but that's about it. read more

This Marriott does a good job delivering exactly what I've learned to expect from their full service properties, excellent fitness area, indoor and outdoor pool, newly renovated and comfortable rooms and a decent executive lounge with some good snack, drink, appetizer and breakfast options (pending time of day and having lounge access of course). That being said there aren't a ton of things that jump out on either the extraordinary or on the bad end of things. I enjoyed the stay, room was clean and well attended. Shower pressure was good as well as the water temperature control and the room thermostat worked spot on. Overall I'd definitely stay here again, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a full service Marriott in the area. read more

Just what you expect from a Marriott and a little more since it's the spa & resort in Cincinnati. Cushy carpets in halls & rooms in where I can still smell the glue so this place has been recently renovated. What more can you ask for in a room that has a 55" tv in it & a king sized bed? Well maybe room service and not needing to go to work.... but I digress. The accommodations were exactly what you expect from the Marriott brand (not courtyard or Fairfield etc). This hotel is right off the exit and close to plenty of restaurants of all types. Staff was friendly and quick which always matters! The rooms were clean and updated. My only issue with the room was not being able to control the thermostat functions at night and that's always annoying. The gym was well above average for a hotel gym and also very clean. Plenty of cardio and more weights and equipment than most. Stay for breakfast! Although not inexpensive the service could not have been friendlier and the food was good. I have stayed at this hotel for the past three years while watching the professional tennis tournament in Mason, Ohio. The past two years the hotel was wonderful but this year we had lots of small issues with the hotel. The positives and negatives of our latest experience are listed below. Positives - hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. We asked to switch from a king size bed to two queens and they were able to do so at no charge. - beds were very comfy - most of the professional tennis players for the tournament stay here so it's nice to be able to see them while eating in the morning Negatives - My friend said she saw a dead bug in the hotel shower on day 1 as she was first to shower. I would hope the hotel checks the showers more frequently before guests check in. - the room key does not unlock entrance 4 from the back of the hotel. Other guests had same issue I guest entrance 4 when trying to enter. - the door between the main area and bathroom would squeak every time it was opened. This was a hassle because every time someone went to the bathroom during the night the other person would wake up due to the squeak. - the door from the shower to the bathroom opens slightly when showering. Not a big deal but still is a nuisance when showering. - the battery to the room entrance died when turning Saturday night so we had to get someone to replace it. We were tired and exhausted at 11:30 Saturday night and the last thing we wanted to do was wait 15 minutes for someone to replace our entrance battery. Maybe this couldn't have been prevented though? I'm not sure how often they do regular checks of these batteries or if they even are suppose to so the guests won't be bothered during the stay. - the hotel costs well over 200 a night so I'm not sure it's worth the price with all these small issues. I would expect issues like this if I were staying at a budget hotel (100-150 range) I'm 50/50 on whether I will stay here next year for the tournament. It's nice to be able to see the players up close but we had so many small issues I'm not sure it's worth it. read more

I would honestly give this place more than 5 stars if I could! 1. Housekeeping was so friendly. In the morning when we left, each member of the housekeeping staff that we walked by said "Good morning" or "Have a great day". This literally made my day! 2. The king size bed was THE most comfortable thing I had ever slept on. Not too soft and not too hard. The down comforter was ultra comfy. The room was quite spacious for only $120 a night! 3. My father stayed here while he was in town visiting recently. He was very pleased with his room. I have stayed a multiple Marriott hotel locations and always been very pleased by their consistency. Their rooms are always well maintained and clean. This particular location has a restaurant inside. I met my father to conduct some business in the hotel lobby. The lobby itself is beautiful. There is a lot of space and we were able to find a table that provided quite a bit of privacy. read more

This Marriott property is a-okay, hence the three stars. We stopped by for an overnight to break up a road trip. As other reviewers have mentioned, the property needs a facelift... but you can tell that in the 90s, this place was top of the line! The staff is courteous, the breakfast buffet is the usual you'd expect. The bed linens and pillows were clean and comfortable. I had a great night's sleep. So while the property is showing its age, it's a safe bet for a night's rest. The full service Marriott where I live was very similar and just got a remodel, so I bet in the next few years this one will too. read more

We eat in the restaurant on the weekend. The kids love eating there because of the giant water fountain in the building. The breakfast burrito is huge. Usually the brunch buffett is the way to go. Other than the breakfast buffet, and friendly staff, I felt like I was going into a mid 90's not updated hotel room. If this hotel was on "Hotel Impossible", it would definitely need a lot of work in the housekeeping department. I will say that the lobby was more updated, but once you get to the rooms, it was a completely different story. My room was filthy. The coffee pot even had old water in it that had clearly been in there for a long time due to its gross coloring and odor. Needless to say, that was disturbing. That reason along makes me not want to ever go back there. I will be in the Cincy area for work and this hotel is convenient for that, but that is about it. read more

Over the years I have stayed many nights at this hotel as I needed to finish up maintaining my Marriott status or if work was being done at my house. Up until recently it has always been a great location with excellent pricing in the winter months. However recently I had an issue where I did mobile check in, picked up my keys and the next morning was automatically checked out because housekeeping said I hadn't stayed in the room. I have never heard of a situation where someone pays for a room and can be checked out because they didn't sleep in it the night before. I have been doing some work at my house and did not finish until late and ended up falling asleep on the couch. However I paid for the full room for two nights and they checked me out after one and wanted to argue with me over the policy. The fact that this hotel thinks they can do something that the guest has not authorized caused me to never stay at this property again. They were rude and unaccommodating when I question them on it. Took it up with Marriott corporate and they made the situation right. read more

I was impressed by the renovations of the hotel but the customer service from Terrill (front desk) was AWFUL and UNACCEPTABLE! She was very rude to my mother and all of my guests. I reserved seven (7) rooms for family and friends to celebrate my doctoral graduation and Terrill's passive/aggressive attitude truly put a damper on the festivities. I highly recommend another session of customer service training or her realization that hospitality is not her field. read more

Loved my stay. Got a room for $84/nigh before tax- that's cheaper than the Fairfield and Courtyard that's nearby. Amazing deal for the higher end of the chain.
