Saturday morning you-pick from 9-11 AM was a delight!! I had envisioned a field of mixed flowers, but instead the you-pick was organized by raised growing beds by flower type! Gathering basket and clippers are available for use. It was so lovely to roam the grounds and select my flowers. There is an online $5 coupon available upon signing up for texts. After coupon, my bouquet cost about $22. The flowers were beautiful, plentiful in options, and lasted for over a week in my vase at home. Note/tip: Grass may be a bit long, so I'd recommend waterproof shoes or boots. My tennis shoes got dew-soaked. I'd recommend bringing a vase for transporting home in water & to plan to go home afterwards so the flowers have the best chance of flourishing. Beyond you-pick on a 1 time basis, there is a subscription or a delivery option. Great idea to give a subscription as a gift. The Marmalade Lily is also an event venue and party/gathering location.

They set up the barn with beautiful florals to make my surprise proposal one my fiancée and I will never forget. It's certainly a stunning property a lot of history behind it and from what it looks like typically it's a venue for weddings. I had never heard of this property before despite being a Cincinnati native. I would imagine this would be a stunning venue for a wedding. It didn't look very well attended and now we know why. They must have known something that we didn't. I have been to several Mother's Day Buffets there and I know that they know better than to charge $55.00/person for the cheap garbage they foisted on the guests. How many ways can they serve PORK(the cheapest meat on the market and half the price of a pound of hamburger), along with dozens of hard boiled eggs at less than 2.00/doz., some beef that was tough and obviously a low price cut or mystery meat. The salads were sparse, there were no cheese selections at all, no juices served, and not a single vegetable was on the menu. I don't believe that I have EVER been to a buffet that didn't at least serve green beans(but then, right now they cost more/pound than pork). The buffet was FULL of "filler foods" like donuts and muffins. The service was terrible. If you wanted something to drink, you had to go get it yourself. That "buffet" wasn't even worth $150. let alone $275.00 There was a sign out front that said "Mother's Day Buffet". We will not be stupid enough to be "taken" a second time. We will NOT be back.

This hotel has not been updated in at least 15-20 years. The rooms and bathrooms are old and outdated. When first arriving, there was an odd and off-putting smell to the room. I have smell memory for that odor that won't go away. It was almost a sour smell. Puzzling. The "breakfast" was meh. We just went down the road every morning to Starbucks (2 are very close by). The location of this hotel was convenient for the Cincinnati Open so that was a plus and we were only there to sleep so didn't spend much time in the room, thank goodness. Holiday Inn/IHG- spend some money and update this poor hotel!
