A picture showing how the inside of the comforter does not have a duvet

Checked in got to the room got in bed There was a nasty smell realized the duvet does not cover both sides of the comforter. Asked the maid in the morning she confirmed they do not change out the comforters after every guest. I was so grossed out asked for fresh bedding. Let the front desk know and they acted like the maid was wrong. Looked in the rooms that were checking out and noticed the comforters were thrown on the desk. That is disgusting if a person didn't pull the sheet down their body is touching that comforter and you get in bed and it's then touching you. The worst part was the front desk acting like it was no big deal.

I travel every week for work, and when I'm in Chandler I stay at the Marriott. Not sure why the ratings aren't higher. Prices are great for a top tier property, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Great service at the front desk, and a 20% discount at Happy Hour (3-530). M Club has wonky hours, and perhaps that throws some of the more astute travelers off, but the area is right near the 101/202 So you can get anywhere quickly.

Minimalist hotel but comfortable. It's interesting that there is not much decor or many frills in this Marriott. But it is clean. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. My frustration was with the air/heat. While there in November, the night go into the 40s but I could not get any heat. Gratefully they had an extra blanket in a drawer, as well as extra sheets. The extra sheet was also necessary because they did not have a top sheet on the bed. It was just a comforter. I got the top sheet out of the drawer and put it on me so that I would not just be under the comforter.

One of the nicer Marriott properties around here in this part of PHx. And the Concierge lounge is open 24/7 for water and snacks which is great. Breakfast decent and they put out real food in the weekday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Rooms were spacious with sofa seating area and desk for evening work. Always stay here or similar over say Courtyard (smaller rooms and no lounge). Enjoy!

I'd like to start and say, our weekend was fantastic. We started with a small hiccup at check in...not a problem, hiccup fixed in moments. We went down to the bar for happy hour. Service was fantastic. Our waitstaff was well versed on the menu and also made my SO an off the menu drink. The sunset was fantastic. The room neat and accommodating. All of our basic needs met with enthusiasm! This review is absolutely a 5 star, don't misunderstand! My "to be addressed". The complimentary snacks and breakfast, were both readily accessible and presented beautifully...BUT they were not allergen friendly at all. The only resealed items at breakfast are cereal and hard boiled eggs. Every other item is served buffet style with the hopes that people use separate serving utensils. On day one when I pointed this out the breakfast attendant opened a fresh loaf of gf bread for me and provided unused utensils (thank you!). On day 2 there was a packaged udies muffin (which I took). We were also approached by the concierge asking if there would be a different snack that I'd like. To which, the answer was no thank you. All of the team was beyond friendly and attempted to resolve the allergy issue with the limited items they had. Thank you team. Corporate representatives reading this, applaud them for their wonderful attitudes. And then please give them a few more options for the less common visitor. We do exist and are very grateful when we are also able to partake in a goodie or 2. I feel the need to add an edit to this: apparently breakfast was included in the type of reservation we placed. If I had been paying out of pocket per meal I would have been far more disappointed in the breakfast situation.

Stayed here while on business and felt it was a nice and clean hotel service was good and quick not to much stuff around but a lot within driving distance. Overall rooms were clean and comfortable staff was very friendly had dinner and appetizers at the bar area and all the food was very good and would definitely eat there again when in town. There was plenty of parking at this hotel and within a couple miles to several businesses overall had a nice time and no issues.

The hotel itself is nice along with the staff. However, the rooms could use some improvement with cleanliness and modernization. I would not recommend staying here. The bedding when we checked in was dirty with hair all over. The staff did change the sheets but for some reason the new ones also had hair all over.

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler was the first hotel during our year end road trip. My wife had picked it after doing extensive research on Tripadvisor and Yelp. They are one of the newer Marriott properties in the Phoenix area. Our stay was pretty much good until it was almost time to check out. Check in was easy. They were expecting us and gave us a nice room with 2 queen beds. The room was nice sized. It gave us a nice comfortable bed to sleep in. The hotel had a M-Club lounge with breakfast served in the morning to Platinum and above members. No evening hor dourves thanks to covid. But, they did keep the club stocked with soda, water and snacks. The exercise room was nice and had lots of equipment. They had disinfectant wipes for you to wipe down the equipment. The hotel had a waterfall in the bathroom that startled my wife. Unfortunately, as we were packing up for the next leg of our journey, the room upstairs had plumbing problems causing water to fall from the ceiling and lights. Tuey, the front desk manager was able to help us move to a different room for our last minute preparations. Later in the day, she called me and apologized once again and gave us some Bonvoy points for our problems. Overall, it was a pretty good stay until the waterfall. It is a good hotel. I look forward to staying again, as long as they don't have a waterfall in my room. But, even then, the manager handled it as best that she could.

I would never recommend this hotel…read more I originally booked a 3-night stay but ended up arriving a day early. I called the day of my flight to add another night and was told it was no problem but it would be treated as two reservations and I would need to check out Sunday and check back in. I checked in around midnight Saturday and paid a $100 deposit. On Sunday I left my room with the privacy sign on the door. Around 3pm the front desk called telling me I needed to return immediately to check out and check back in for the second reservation. I returned within about 10 minutes and was required to pay another $100 deposit. When I returned to my room, the privacy sign was no longer on the door and had been placed inside the room, meaning someone had entered despite the sign being displayed. Monday my room was not cleaned. Tuesday my room was still not cleaned and I had no fresh towels. I called the front desk and spoke with Veronica, who argued with me about my reservations and told me rooms are only cleaned on the third day. At that point it was already the third day and my room still had not been serviced. She eventually brought towels and said staff had "dropped the ball." Tuesday night I asked Lena at the front desk if I could extend checkout until 2pm because my flight was later. She initially said no, then said it would require a fee but couldn't locate the policy anywhere. After calling Veronica she told me the fee would be $55. I declined and asked how late I could stay without a fee and she said 11:30am. When I returned to my room my key suddenly stopped working. After I went back downstairs and expressed how frustrating the situation was, Lena later called and said the 2pm checkout would be approved and the fee waived. At 11:30pm that same night Veronica called me from home explaining she had gone home sick, it was her second day as manager, and the team "needed work." The conversation went on far longer than it should have and felt extremely unprofessional. The next morning I left briefly with the privacy sign on my door and returned an hour later to find the sign once again placed back inside my room, meaning someone had entered my room again despite the sign being on the door. At checkout Jacob at the front desk was very kind and helpful. However when management became involved they mostly made excuses for the situation. They eventually offered compensation, but instead of refunding the night I personally paid for ($269), they refunded one of the nights that had been booked using my mother's reward points. In other words, the credit didn't even go back to the person who actually paid cash for the stay. Beyond the service issues, the property itself is poorly maintained. The AC units appear locked and do not properly cool the room. The shower bases are stained brown, the shower caddy is dirty, and metal fixtures throughout the room are rusting. The beds have almost no padding and the pillows smelled strongly of sweat. Housekeeping service was inconsistent and my room was never cleaned during the stay. I have stayed at the Cambria in Fargo, ND and had a completely different experience. Unfortunately this location felt closer to a budget motel than a Cambria hotel. I hope Choice Hotels corporate reviews this property because the guest experience and privacy issues during my stay were far below expected Cambria brand standards.

The bed was pretty good, no sink holes though I prefer a firmer mattress. The workout room was excellent for this size and class of hotel, very large and fully equipped and in good condition. The pool also looked nice and clean, however I could not use it as we had rain the day we stayed. There is a lot of road noise from Frye road and 3/4 of the rooms will have this noise, so request a room that faces south. Fortunately, at night the car noise was less and we wore ear plugs so were able to sleep. We stayed on a Saturday night so were not woken up by work traffic since it was Sunday morning. During the weekdays, I image the morning rush hour, which starts early in the Phoenix metro, would be very hard to sleep through.

I was delighted that we experienced such positive customer service, good food and drinks onsite, and nice accommodations. I ordered a room with two queen beds (though I later learned I would be heading here on my own). As an IHG status member, I received an upgrade to a king-bed suite upon my arrival. The suite I ended up with had a nice living area, a kitchenette, a very comfortable bed, and a balcony (though only to the neighboring street). The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful with any questions I had. While my colleagues all received a $ 5-off-a-drink coupon, I received that plus a free beverage at the bar. If I didn't want alcohol, I could go into the store and pick up a food item of my choice, which was quite generous. While I didn't have time on this visit to use the fitness center or the pool, I had the opportunity to check out those spaces, which I look forward to using when I return (if the pool is heated in the Fall). I also got a tour of the property, which has great meeting spaces for a group of 150-200 people. I also visited the bar in the lobby and the on-site restaurant, both of which had great service, tasty food, and beverages. I did pay extra for parking, though I had no other choice, and the price was reasonable at only $15 per day. As the Crowne Plaza is a part of the IHG® One Rewards, you can pay $225 USD or pay 40,000 IHG points to become an InterContinental Ambassador for 12 months. This comes up a guaranteed one category room upgrade, guaranteed extended 4pm check-out, one complimentary weekend night per year, Platinum Elite status in IHG® One Rewards (and the corresponding benefits), complimentary mineral water, complimentary internet, dedicated check-in area, single room rate for double occupancy, restaurants & bars credit of up to USD20 for every stay (depending on location), and complimentary breakfast for one each night you stay (Mainland China only). Note that Ambassador benefits only apply to actual InterContinental Hotels. Platinum Elite status includes 60% bonus points, Hertz Gold+® Five Star Status, welcome amenity at check-in, early check-in, 2 PM late check-out, and more. Platinum Elite benefits apply to any IHG property. I certainly recommend that someone in Chandler, Arizona, looking for a hotel consider this as an option. It's certainly worth it! I look forward to returning.

We were traveling from Kentucky to California and had a reservation at Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix/Chandler. Unfortunately, our vehicle suffered a major engine failure during the trip, leaving us stranded and unable to continue our travel plans. As a result, we needed to extend our stay. I called the hotel to request an extension and spoke with Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle. I explained that I could not be physically present because I was dealing with the vehicle breakdown. The hotel already had my reservation, payment information, and card details on file through my booking. Despite this, Ms. Tumalle repeatedly refused to assist us over the phone and insisted that I had to be present in person. My wife was listed on the reservation and was physically at the hotel. She offered to use her own credit card to extend the stay, yet Ms. Tumalle still refused to help. What made the situation even more upsetting was that our son, who has autism, was experiencing a severe crisis at the time. We explained our circumstances and she could clearly see our child's distress, but she showed no empathy, compassion, or willingness to help. My wife then asked if a late checkout could be granted simply as a courtesy so she could calmly gather our belongings while waiting for family assistance with our son. Ms. Tumalle refused, stating that the room was needed and that housekeeping had to clean it. I later called again and spoke with the hotel manager, who was professional, courteous, and understanding. The manager immediately informed me that my wife could extend the reservation. Through a FaceTime call, I provided identification, and the manager confirmed there was no issue with extending our stay. This clearly demonstrated that the situation could have been resolved all along. By that point, however, my wife felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and unwelcome due to the way she had been treated. Given the stress of our son's condition and the lack of basic customer service from Ms. Tumalle, we decided to leave the hotel. To be clear, we understand that a late checkout is not guaranteed and is provided at the hotel's discretion. Our complaint is not about being denied a favor. Our complaint is about the disrespectful, dismissive, and insensitive manner in which we were treated during a difficult family situation involving a child with a disability. The hotel manager handled the matter professionally and deserves recognition for her excellent customer service. Unfortunately, Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle displayed behavior that was rude, condescending, and completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality we have come to expect from Hilton. Customer service should always be a priority in the hospitality industry. Guests should never be made to feel like a burden, especially when facing unexpected hardships. I sincerely hope ownership and management review this incident and take appropriate action so that no other family has to experience the same treatment. Based solely on our interaction with Assistant Manager Mariana Tumalle, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we have ever had at a Hilton property.

On my last night I woke up with a BED BUG BITE ON MY HAND, pulled up the sheets, and found BLOOD SPOTS ON THE MATTRESS. I went straight to the front desk. The clerk brushed me off, rushed me along, and never moved me to another room. They "cleaned it" like it was nothing. NO MATTRESS ENCASEMENTS. NO PROPER INSPECTION. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. That negligence followed me home. Within months I had a FULL BED BUG INFESTATION IN MY OWN HOUSE. Thousands of dollars gone. Countless sleepless nights. Two years later, I am STILL dealing with the fallout of this stay. And here's the kicker: I am NOT the only one. This hotel has a PUBLIC HISTORY of bed bugs: * Sarin T. This is a pattern of negligence, not a mistake. And shame on ASPEN DENTAL for knowingly putting trainees in this dump. If you value your health, your sanity, and your home: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. Bed bugs don't just ruin your night. They follow you home and can ruin YEARS of your life.

The front desk clerk was friendly, funny, and genuinely personable--one of those interactions that immediately makes you feel welcome. The reception area itself had a cozy, boutique feel with a small pastry display and bar setup that added a nice touch. It's a one-person desk, which actually made it feel more intimate, though I could see it getting a bit backed up during peak times. The overall design of the hotel leans modern and clean with warm wood tones and neutral colors throughout. The lobby seating area was stylish and comfortable, with plush chairs and a large statement wall art piece that gave it a polished, upscale vibe. The bar area looked sleek and well put together--perfect for grabbing a drink or just hanging out. Our room was spacious, airy, and thoughtfully laid out. The two beds were large and comfortable with crisp, clean linens, and nothing felt cramped. The wood flooring gave it a more elevated feel than your typical carpeted hotel room. There was a nice sitting area with a couch and mounted TV, plus a functional workspace that made it easy to relax or get things done. The mini fridge and coffee setup were neatly tucked into a built-in station, keeping everything organized and clutter-free. The bathroom was clean and modern with a glass-enclosed shower and bright lighting. It felt updated and well-maintained, which is always a huge plus. One of the standout features was the view--our window overlooked the pool courtyard, and it honestly felt like a little resort moment. The pool itself looked like a great size, surrounded by lounge chairs, umbrellas, and palm trees, with plenty of guests out there enjoying themselves. It gave off a relaxed, vacation-like vibe without being overcrowded. They also offer a coin-operated laundry area, which is super convenient for longer stays. Breakfast was another win--there was a good variety of warm options like eggs, potatoes, sausage, and oatmeal, along with muffins, juices, and toast. It was simple but satisfying and well-stocked. And the location? Major bonus. The hotel sits right across from a mall and is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and eateries, making it incredibly easy to find something good without having to go far. Overall, this place strikes a great balance between comfort, style, and convenience. Clean, modern, and welcoming with just enough personality to make it memorable--I'd absolutely stay here again.
