Per the front desk lady, he's not homeless, and the manager knows about this man who is with a guest.

This is strictly in regards to the guest who is allowed to sleep in the entrance area before check in. After breakfast, I wanted to sit outside, and found this man watching his phone, so I asked the lady at the front desk about this. She said he wasn't homeless, that he was with a guest. Okay. An hour later, I found him like this. I didn't want to be out there by myself, so went back in and then asked for a manager. The front desk lady, said the manager knows about the man who is with a guest. Guess I'll ask for a blanket next time and camp out out front.

Cute little dorm room themed hotel in the center of College town here in Phoenix. Clean and tidy not my favorite decoration, but it may appeal to some one of the lightbulbs by the bed is burnt out and the furniture and carpet seem very old but overall a nice hotel staff is extremely friendly and a restaurant on location, balcony off the bedroom door bouquet in the center of ASU campus.

Walking into this hotel, it is clear that it's going for a funky vibe. And I'd say they've achieved that objective-the decor is eclectic and fun. I'd call it a mashup of mid-century modernist decor with more modern and Southwest-y elements. Some reviews I've seen complain about the smell -and the odor in the lobby does remind me of my grandmas attic, but that's a price I'm willing to pay for the whimsy. Students man the front desk, and they do a pretty nice job. We were able to check in early, which was a godsend on ASU move in day. There was an initial little hiccup when the room they assigned to us had not yet been cleaned, but we went back down and got a new room straightaway. We were incredibly grateful to check in early around 11:30. The room is comfortable and pretty clean. There's an in-room fridge and coffee. The king sized bed was firm, and we both slept well. The shower did make some strange and very loud sounds when I started it in the morning, so much so that I got out and asked my partner to check on it. But the issue resolved itself relativity quickly. Overall, we had a nice stay here. The location was perfect for freshman dorm move in, and I'd absolutely stay again when visiting the area.

Great location, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, hotel is very warm and welcoming environment. The staff was very friendly and the environment was very unique! There's an in-room fridge and coffee and bicycles can be borrowed.

Sorry Graduate, this may have been a cool funky hotel at one time but not now. Everything about Graduate Tempe says cheap, and old. It looks like all the furniture is from a garage sale. Everything is worn out and smells old and well used. The beds are lumpy and loud. They crinkle loudly like they have plastic covers or something. I've stayed in plenty of 4 star hotels. There is no way this is four stars. Do not stay here. I never will again.

The Graduate is continently located across the street from Arizona State University and is a very modern yet retro hotel from the moment you enter the vestibule to the lobby. The staff is attentive and there's a neat mascot cutout at the front desk. The room keys are replicas of student IDs like Pat Tillman. The sleeping rooms are nicely laid out with neat paintings and tissue designs. There was some rust on the sink, but not devastating. The temperature was fine and the bed was adequate. I used the gym and it had the typical equipment like a treadmill, elliptical, and tv. Otherwise, the pre and post stay communication made me feel like my reason for visiting Tempe was to go to the Graduate. One of the emails offered me a room upgrade, which was appreciated. Definitely check this place out.

The front desk staff and a guest petting his dog on the check in counter which is so unsanitary and nasty.

I'm giving them a 2 star because of one of their swing shift female staff that treated us like so rudely unkind and unprofessional. She made us feel like criminals and that we don't belong. Beside her, everyone were wonderful and nice. The other problem is the pets. They should tell their pet lover guests that if their pets are not service animals, they can't have them on counters or in the eating space. They need to respect other guests regardless. The last but not important is the mattress and pillows. They are very uncomfortable to where you're not getting a good night sleep.

Found this place last minute as we extended our stay by a day. I've stayed at multiple Graduates before and loved them all. This one was pretty great as well. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and clean. Overall we had a great stay.

This is a long overdue review for this amazing hotel…read more I've visited Tempe to attend the Innings Festival three times now. Each time staying at a different Marriott property: Aloft the first time, Westin the second time, and at this Residence Inn during my last visit. And I have to stay, this was probably my best stay. Location wise, this property is a couple of blocks away from the Westin. But still within walking distance to the Innings festival site. The nightly rate to stay at this property was also much lower in comparison to Westin and/or Aloft (at the time of booking). And being a Residence Inn, obviously breakfast is included in the rate. Anyway, the check in process during my stay was quick, and the staff was super friendly and hospitable. Actually, all the staff encounters I'd had during my stay were super pleasant. From offering me a bottle of water when I had purchased a pack of ibuprofen to just a simple hello and a smile as we're walking by the front desk. I don't think I've ever stayed at any Marriott property where the staff is just overall pleasant! During check in, I found out that my room had been upgraded. I had originally booked a room with two queen beds but got upgraded to a two bedrooms suite with a personal bathroom in each bedroom. The hotel room also had a little common area and a kitchenette. Awesome! The noise level at this hotel was pretty much on par with every other hotel I'd stayed in so I'm not complaining about that. I thought my bed was comfortable and I always had a good night sleep during my stay here. Breakfast foods are pretty much what you'd get at any other Residence Inn. You get your eggs, sausages, potatoes, juices, waffles, etc. And although the hotel was sold out during my stay (or so I was told), the line for breakfast never got too long. And although I didn't drive here, there's a parking garage (I think public parking garage) attached to the hotel and I believe it was only around $15/night to park there. So they weren't charging insane parking fees that hotels located in downtown anywhere typically charge. Would I stay here again in the future? Hells to the yes!

Cons: Proximity to the airport leads to a lot of noise, making it difficult to sleep. They did provide earplugs which didn't help very much. No room service. Responses to messages on the Marriott app are slow. No makeup mirror in the bathroom. Room was uninspiring. There was one small drawer and no other place to unpack. The shower was of dubious cleanliness. Coffee machine in the room was sub-par (W has nespresso for example). Limited toiletry extras. Housekeeping doesn't go the extra mile (for example arranging toiletries for you, restocking lotion, etc).

That said, this isn't a hotel I would choose again. The road noise outside is surprisingly loud. You can hear virtually every passing car, and I honestly can't remember ever making that complaint about another hotel. On Saturday night, the DJ on the 14th-floor rooftop had the bass turned up so high that our room on the 8th floor was literally thumping. I called to ask whether the music could be turned down and was told it could not, and that it would continue quite late into the evening. I then asked whether the hotel had a couple of fans we could borrow to help mask the noise. Unfortunately, they didn't though they did offer earplugs, which I appreciated. To their credit, the front desk was empathetic and relocated us to another room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall noise issues were still enough that I wouldn't choose to stay here again. If you're planning to enjoy the rooftop nightlife, this may be a great fit. If you're looking for a quiet night's sleep, I'd look elsewhere.

I first want to acknowledge the parking since I know the valet cost is a an issue. I did self parking at the Brickyard Parking Garage for $16 for 24 hours which was a 3 minute walk across a side street and down a short flight of stairs. I found it super convenient and would recommend it to anyone looking to skip valet. The lobby was nice, very clean and open with high ceilings and a comfortable sitting area. Austin got me checked in quickly and hooked up with their welcome package that included two free margaritas at the rooftop bar Skysill, two free cups of coffee or tea at their coffee shop and two free smoothies from Terra their restaurant on the 1st floor. I stayed in one of their Executive Suites With Mountain View and when I say the room took my breath away, I actually gasped!! It was more than I could hope for with beautiful views overlooking Tempe and Phoenix in both the living room and bedroom, a big comfy bed, a nice sized table to get work done at and a beautiful bathroom complete with a spacious shower and luxurious soaking tub! The room also came with bathrobes, complementary water bottles in the mini fridge, wine glasses and a corkscrew. I really loved being able to relax knowing everything was thought out! The rooftop bar and pool was beautiful, again with breathtaking views. The welcome margarita was good and strong but the Hibiscus Paloma was a show stopper! I also really enjoyed the rooftop patio the next morning when I took my laptop up to enjoy the sunrise over the city while getting my work day started. My morning was a breeze, enjoying beautiful views, my complimentary tea and smoothie but the standout of my stay was Aneesa at concierge. I had a last minute schedule change for a meeting that left me stressed for time to checkout and make my meeting but Aneesa saved the day when, without hesitation, she moved my checkout time back so I could complete my Teams call in the privacy of my room and not feel rushed to leave. I only ended up needing 30 extra minutes but I can't thank her enough for giving me that extra hour! It's people like her who keep me coming back somewhere and I'm happy to say I've already recommended this hotel to a few friends and work colleagues. A couple places I feel the hotel may have room for improvement on is stocking additional amenities for the bath like epsom salts or bubble bath and the windows of my room could have been cleaner but those little things really didn't bother me much at all. Honestly, I just walked across the street to the 24hr CVS and bought some bubble bath after my drinks and enjoyed a nice relaxing soak, it was perfect! We had the opportunity to attend Sunset & Sparks at Vīb Hotel Tempe, where guests enjoyed an evening filled with rooftop views, a buffet dinner, complimentary cocktails, lawn games, live music, a photo booth, and of course, fireworks to end the night. As much as we love our usual Independence Day traditions, this was a refreshing change of pace. Instead of rushing around, we were able to slow down, take in an incredible Arizona sunset, enjoy some good food, listen to live music, and simply spend quality time together. The buffet featured grilled chicken, burgers with all the fixings, creamy potato salad, coleslaw, fresh toppings, patriotic desserts, and plenty of drinks to keep everyone cool throughout the evening. The fourth floor looks terrible -- there are empty, broken-down rooms and the hallways feel neglected. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. This place used to be a great stay when we first came here, but now it's honestly pretty shameful to see how much it has deteriorated. There is a small supplied kitchen and refrigerator plus cooktop stove and small refrigerator freezer. You easily could live there for months. It has a high top dining and working counter. It has a large screen tv that swivels for watching from bed or living room. It has a clothing closet. It has two low dressers four drawers total. And a nightstand. TV stand has some small shelves. By door you find a shoe and pantry nook for small food storage. Also has a dishwasher. Pros: Can cook and eat there. Rooftop pool with bar. Great location by arena and football stadium. Walkable to restaurants, Trader Joe's, ASU Tempe campus, light rail and buses and transportation center all right there. Town Lake and office complex a few blocks away. Free breakfast every day that's pretty good and varies a little each day with free coffee and other morning drinks. Has a workout room with a great view. Very friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way twice to fetch sweetener and ice. Small convenience store next to front desk. Reasonable daily parking fee that includes unlimited in and out privileges Cons: On a five night stay, housekeeping only checked on us 2 days. Needs small repairs here and there. Example: 2 or 3 drawers had loose pulls that needed screw tightening, saw a weather strip partially detached from door frame. Small workout area had limited equipment. One treadmill was broken one day and I had to wait an hour for the treadmill hog on the only working treadmill to get off despite posted 45 minutes max use rule. Other equipment like weights a bit limited. They allow pets and one day we had to deal with a barking dog somewhere morning and night. We complained twice and the hotel staff could only say they tried and that people are not supposed to leave their pets unattended. Bella from light rail every five to fifteen minutes if you get the southern/western side of the building.
