We went to catch the Elvis Musical at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre. I didn't know what to expect but was excited to go as I grew up listening to Elvis and watching his movies with my grandmother. I thought parking would be difficult but I was able to find parking easily. Getting to the main theatre is easy and finding our seats. The staff were friendly. The stage was pretty small cause I pictured a huge stage. But it was nice and the actor and actresses entered the stage from all corners and sides of the theatre. The musicians were great and the sounds and songs were clear. I definitely sang along. Intermission arrived and we were given 15 minutes. It was enough time to get water and use the bathroom. Lines were not long for either. When the show ended, people filed out pretty quickly. There was a little of a bottleneck getting to the road that leads out but I noticed that the other side of the parking lot was empty and had no line hitting the main road and I was out in 2 minutes. I had a great time and will be looking out for future musicals to attend. read more

I was here with Yelp Chicago for Heartbreak Hotel. We saw the first act of the show, then after an extended intermission, they announced that due to inclement weather and flooding in the area, they were calling our show and the subsequent ones for that weekend. They made an announcement to please call the theater the following Tuesday and they would give us tickets to ANY of the remaining dates to see the conclusion of the show. I called Tuesday and they did just that! The process was very easy and a week later, I was able to the second act of Heartbreak Hotel. The theater in the round insures there are not really bad seats in the house! I have been here for everything from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown [Theater for Young Audiences] to Big Fish to Damn Yankees to Something Rotten over the years. I am grateful to my grandparents who instilled the theater into me by bringing my young self here! I also appreciate that the Marriott Theatre works with the Chicago League of Theaters to offer accessibly priced tickets. And after viewing Catch Me If You Can, they allowed the next generation of theater viewers to have a meet and greet with JJ Neimann, who a lot of kids connected with via TikTok. Parking is free and close to the doors, the seats are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, the box office is competent, and the productions are top notch! Not much else you can ask for! read more

I've been to this Marriott theater several times already to watch different shows throughout the years. However, this most recent visit was to see heartbreak Hotel thanks to the Yelp elite event. On the night of which I came there happen to be some very severe storms that caused the play to stop at the point of intermission so that all the audience members could go home safely. The Marriott theater was so kind as to give us an option to get tickets to another scheduled show to be able to see it from start to finish and it's entirety. This was so generous and so kind of them to do. And every time they put on a show here this place is absolutely fantastic. I love being able to come here and buy tickets to come here for other shows because parking is free and there are none of these add-on fees on top of the tickets like you get for the other shows down in the city. Hear the traffic is manageable to get in and get out of it whether it's before or even after a show. So none of this craziness that you have to deal with the city. If you've never seen a show here, I highly encourage and strongly recommend that you look at the various and diverse shows and offerings and buy a ticket and support the theater. read more

This was my first time visiting the theater. The show and layout were mesmerizing. The characters constantly were walking through the aisles bringing their characters to life. A Little Night of Music was a story about multiple couples trying to find love and happiness with constant stream of songs. I want to say that there was a 15 minute intermission. I would recommend show for fast paced music. The two hours and 40 minutes of the show went fast. Parking was free in large parking lot. The restaurants were nearby inside the building for convenience. Photos were not allowed during the show. It would have been nice to get a photo of the hard working performers at the end. read more

We love the Marriott Theatre, and were so grateful to get complimentary tickets to watch the "Heartbreak Hotel"! Our huge thanks to Yelp, our Community Manager Kesha, and the Marriott Theatre! I felt so blessed to be joined by our daughter, who's my plus-one, and my husband, who's a fellow Yelp Elite as well.  All of us had a great time at this fantastic and memorable show. On the original Yelp event day, thunderstorm warning turned into tornado warning toward the end of Act 1.  Even though we heard tornado warning from some people's phone alarm, there was not a second that we felt unsafe there.  As the theatre announcement said at intermission, we were sheltering-in-place there at the resort.  After the tornado warning expired, the theatre canceled Act 2 to make sure that everyone would go home and be safe, as there was still flash flood warning.  As a precaution, they also canceled all the performances for the following 2 days, a total of 4 and a half (5) performances.  In the announcement, they also invited us back to see the performance again. The theatre acted appropriately every step of the way.  I felt that we could totally trust the Marriott theatre.    Many thanks to Kesha for coordinating with the theatre, we were able to just call the box office the following Tuesday to re-schedule our tickets.  It was very generous of the Marriott Theatre to let us pick any performance and seats of our choice.  I was well prepared and had decided in my mind the performance down to the seats that we wanted before I made the phone call, so the re-scheduling went very smoothly.  The box office lady was very nice and friendly, she already had my email on file, and the new tickets were instantly emailed to me. Heartbreak Hotel was such a great show that we felt so fortunate to see Act 1 twice! Seeing the first half twice impressed me even more by the stamina of each of the wonderful cast, especially Tyler Hanes who played Elvis Presley.  Hanes' interpretations of Elvis were truly superb.  He and the kid Elvis and teen Elvis sang a total of 40 Elvis' songs, although most of them were just a short portion of the songs.  I witnessed that the Marriott cast treated each of their performance seriously and gave us their all on each act.  This show pleased not just Elvis fans, but it impressed each of the audience.  All the song arrangements, the high-energy choreography, the emotional acting - contributed to a phenomenal show that was absolutely entertaining and enjoyable. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, the Marriott Theatre's theatre-in-the-round setup ensures that there truly are no bad seats. The Heartbreak Hotel also created a little staging area in front of the orchestra, getting performers out into the house as much as impossible.  It also made use of an immersive atmosphere that brings Elvis' story to life, wrapping the audience in the songs and moves of the performance.  I could see many audience members tapping their feet and moving their bodies at times with the actors. Heartbreak Hotel runs from April 8 through May 31, 2026. Don't miss the chance to see this phenomenal production, I highly recommend it! read more

Always a great time! We had been invited to check out Heartbreak Hotel on April 17th, but because of the storm they shut it down in the middle and offered the option to return to see the full show. Tonight, May 1, 2026 we returned to see the full show and it was great. The story line is great and the end was fantastic! read more

My original tickets to Heartbreak Hotel were April 17. We got through the first half of the show before tornado sirens went off and intermission extended to a full hour before the storms passed. The second half of the show was canceled due to the risk of flooding. While this was all unexpected and disappointing, the staff did a good job keeping us updated and definitely made safety a priority. The Marriott let us reschedule our tickets, so I returned April 30 to see the first half of Heartbreak Hotel again, along with the second half. The show chronicled Elvis' rise to fame, beginning with when he received his first guitar as a child to playing different styles of music because he locked in on rock 'n' roll. I didn't know anything about his younger years, so it was run to learn about the first half of his story. It also took us through his service in the U.S. Army, meeting Ann Margaret and Priscilla, the death of his mother and birth of his daughter, and being caught between performing how he wanted to vs what the producers expected. It did not address his self-destructive period or death. As always, the cast was very talented. The child who played young Elvis was particularly memorable. And there were a few songs that had the audience clapping along, which helped with the energy in the room. I've seen many shows at the Marriott, and this time I felt like the energy from the stage wasn't quite there. But I think that was more due to the script than the talent. We saw Little Shop of Horrors at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater. I've written two reviews of the theater already so don't want to repeat everything I said - it is all good and my older reviews almost say it all. One thing I have not mentioned is the way they use a small, square stage. The shows we're seen there are big production plays, usually musicals. The stage work and choreography are wonderful. They are able to take big stage numbers and work it in a small space. It's really incredible how they do it. The seats are comfortable and tiered, so unless someone is above about 6' 5", you shouldn't have a blocked view. Ergo, every seat is a good one. The acoustics are very good and the cast has been great each time I've been there. The Marriott has ample rest rooms, a Starbucks in the lobby, and multiple restaurants. I've never stayed at this Marriott so can't speak to the hotel. But, I continue to be impressed with the theater each time I go. read more

This is a great venue and I appreciate having such a lovely theater on the Northshore. It is truly a gem and they put on exceptional quality theater productions that are stimulating, engaging and touching. I often wonder when i watch the productions how long did this all take to put together. So many people working together to make this all happen for our enjoyment. My husband and I came to the Marriott Theater to see Heartbreak Hotel. There was a storm that day and we did not get to see the whole play but I am so grateful that the theater staff ended the show after the intermission because the drive home was very difficult. The part of the play that I did see was amazing. The staff had a strong stage presence and the music was great. We saw Little Shop of Horrors and it was a blast!! I would say it is one of my favorite musicals. The show is about 2 hours. The cast, sound, lights and choreography are all phenomenal. It is crazy to see what they can do in such a small space. I really liked how the cast for Audrey II, specifically the "arms or leafs" have such great expressions and are totally immersed in their roles vs. just moving the arms. I have never not thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I saw Little Shop of Horrors earlier this week and it was incredible. It's the first show I've seen here where I have seen the show previously elsewhere. I wasn't sure how they were going to handle Audrey II but it worked so well in the round format. The creative team nailed it. (Also, I don't want to spoil anything, but make sure you look up near the end so you don't miss something cool that happens). As always, the actors are extremely talented. Everytime I leave here it makes me miss performing. read more

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to attend Little Shop of Horrors event last night at the Marriott Theatre, and what an absolute delight it was. From the moment my husband and I stepped through the doors, everything felt magical. The lobby was beautiful, the theater layout was thoughtfully designed, and the seats were incredibly comfortable with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the show. The intermission snacks and beverages were a lifesaver after a long workday and a missed dinner, and they were exactly what I needed to keep the evening going. As for the performance itself--wow. It exceeded every expectation. The lighting, sets, and overall production were top-notch, and the cast's vocals were simply stunning. Every detail felt intentional and expertly executed. The CM did a fantastic job, and I'm truly thankful to have been selected for this event. I will absolutely be back to the Marriott Theatre for at least one--if not two--of their upcoming shows. 5 stars for value, great shows, service, sound system, and value! I've seen a few Broadway shows here and every time I've gone, I've always loved it. I've seen Joseph and the amazing technicolor Dreamcoat, Titanic, and Million Dollar Quarter (thanks to YEE ). The circular stage allows you to see everything wherever you are siting. The sound system is terrific and the LED wall just adds so much to the show also with modernizing the shows. I absolutely love this place and will continue patronage. read more

It's been a minute since I've been to the Marriott Theater. Not sure why it's been so long, it's such a great venue for shows! The space is intimate, but not cramped. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The unique octagon stage in the middle adds to the theater experience. As a Yelp Elite member, I was treated to tickets by Yelp and Marriott Theater to opening night of the Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. What a treat!! Phenomenal group of actors, the singing and instrument playing. The entire show was entertaining. I loved nostalgic classic music. I highly recommend this show for the entire family! Marriott Theaters also has a Children's Theater. When my daughter was younger, I used to bring her to shows. Right now, they're showing Finding Nemo. read more

I finally had the opportunity to share the Marriott Theatre magic with my 3 year old when we saw Finding Nemo this past weekend. On December 4, 1956, four musicians -- Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis met at Sun Records under the guidance of Sam Phillips. That is the premise of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas -- and the toe-tapping tunes, holiday favorites, and rock and pop classics are performed live onstage by the actors. This was an amazing show -- the actors were all bonafide musicians in their own right (JP Coletta who embodied Jerry Lee Lewis in all his wild antics and virtuoso playing was a standout). This musical is performed in the round at the Marriott Theatre and thus every seat is a great seat. You'll know most of the songs -- and they all have a different and unique spin. Wow! I had to the opportunity to see The Little Shop of Horror and it was incredible! The theater is a nice, intimate theater with seating in the round making every seat a good seat for viewing. The stage was well set and the sound was beautiful making it easy to hear every song, every comment, and every performer! The cast of Little Shop of Horrors is incredibly talented with strong voices! Each cast member carried out their role with amazing strength and volume! The singing was high quality and Broadway worthy. Audrey 2 stole the show with his deep dramatic voice and personality! The whole production was a well executed performance with a strong cast and great performance. Seating was comfortable, there was plenty of parking, and there's an intermission after an hour so you can grab a drink or go to the restroom. We returned tonight (11-12-2025) to see "Million Dollar Quartet Christmas" courtesy of Yelp Suburbs. It was opening night also, and that meant a bonus opening night buffet after-party as well for us, yummy! The musical was basically a totally delightful 1.5 hour concert of Christmas themed songs performed imaginatively by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. We are so grateful that Yelp has introduced the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire to us through numerous Yelp Elite events. We have fallen in love with the theatre and have been to a number of the musicals in the past couple of years. Despite being a regional theater, Marriott consistently delivers Broadway-caliber performances. Many shows are cast with professional actors, including Broadway veterans. The most recent show that I have been to was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The direction, choreography, and musical performances were all top-notch and we absolutely love it! The Marriott has a unique Theater-in-the-Round Setup and uses a 360-degree stage configuration, meaning the audience surrounds the stage on all sides. This immersive format creates an intimate viewing experience, drawing audiences into the performance more effectively than traditional stages. It's so true that there are no bad seats in this theatre. The Marriott is the most subscribed musical theater in the country, which speaks to its consistent audience support and popularity. We also love that the Marriott is conveniently located only 20 minutes from us (in the northern suburb), offering us premium theatre experience without driving downtown. I just saw the Million Dollar Quartet with Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley last week. What a tremendous show! The singing was fantastic and same with the dancing. I loved every minute of it! Every seat in that theater is fantastic too. If you have not seen this play, it's fantastic and a must see! This is also a great theater to see any show! I love coming to this theater. It's a bit of a drive for me, but they always put on stunning performances. Most recently I was able to attend the opening night of Million Dollar Quartet thanks to complimentary tickets from Yelp. I'm on the younger side so I am not familiar with the back stories for these musicians, but I knew the music. Let me tell you, these are some amazingly talented singers/musicians. Just wow! We had tickets for Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which we came to see for a family birthday. The show was a great time! The stage is set up with a full circle view so everyone gets a good seat no matter where they are. The whole thing is run very professionally and they definitely have some solid actors. There were a few little hiccups with a line fumble here or there and at least one mic that wasn't as loud as it needed to be, but at a fraction of the price that you'd pay for 5 star production your getting an ensemble of passionate creators giving their all. Overall a good time and well worth the price of admission, I'd come back for any shows of personal interest. read more

I have always been impressed by the performances at this theatre, and The Titanic did not disappoint! A theatre-in-the-round is the best way to watch a performance because every seat in the house is good! I was fortunate to be directly across from the above-ground orchestra pit, so I could (at times) watch Brad Haak passionately conduct the musical score. "Barrett's Song" was my absolute favorite scene with its powerful vocals and visuals. "The Night was Alive" was my second favorite scene with all of the dit-di-dah-dit da dits. The entire cast was great, but I felt that Matthew Hommel stole the show. He shined brightly and seemed to thoroughly enjoy performing each of his scenes. read more

The Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre and Resort is a Lake County treasure! They offer a variety of musical performances with top rated talent and a fabulous live orchestra! Access to the theatre is seamless, with free parking directly outside of the theater entrance. Arrive early and enjoy a beverage at one of the high tops in the lobby or relax upstairs on one of the comfy sofas. The staff is very accommodating and even offers to check walkers and wheelchairs for patrons upon request. Additionally, there are two restaurants at the resort offering fine dining or upscale pub food I would highly recommend trying dinner and a show or booking a room at the resort for a fun weekend without all of the city traffic and high prices. read more

I have now been to the Marriott Theatre twice now. One of the most unique theaters I have ever been to. Every person has a good seat, as the stage is in the center with seats 360 degrees around. Everyone is close to the stage and there are no obstructed views. The cast is usually smaller and the production value not as high as some shows downtown. But, for the two shows I have now seen here (Titanic: The Musical and Little Shop of Horrors), I have been very impressed. The actors have amazing voices and do a great portrayal of their characters. Much better than I ever expected from a theater in the suburbs. I am very grateful for the tickets I was able to get to these shows. I am certainly going to come to more shows here because I would argue they are better than some I have seen downtown (and its much easier for me to get to!). read more

A pretty nice theater with plenty of parking. The stage is circular so everyone is pretty much equidistant from the performers. We watched 1776 which highlights the Declaration of Independence. It was an enjoyable experience. Diet Coke and water only costed me a total of $5 with tip and you can't beat that! BATHROOM REVIEW: Bathroom was spacious with plenty of urinals to accommodate patrons. Only a select few stalls, so let's hope you only need to do a #1, or expect a wait. Either way, sit or squat?
