The donut is only a bit chewy, but the texture is quite dry compared to other donuts. I expected some semblance of filling on the inside (again, thinking it was like mochi), but there's none. The glaze flavours are unique, but there's not enough flavour to really taste it as its just drizzled on top. I also got the Dubai Chocolate Matcha Latte drink; this was a bit better, but still overall bland - like 80% chocolate milk, 20% matcha. Kind of like a watered down frappucino. While its not bad, it's mid. All in all, seems like they are a great date spot and great for Insta-worthy gifts. Single donuts are packed in a transparent little box, the decor is very pink, etc. But taste wise honestly Id rather grab a donut at Krispy Kreme or Tims, where the donuts are not as gritty/dry, and far less expensive.

The maple flavor was good and straightforward - not too sweet but hits that maple note. As I mentioned, the man taking our order was very patiently and friendly. He answered all my questions before we finally placed the order. I wasn't what zalabyas area and asked if it was like Mr. Puffs - he said that zalabyas are Egyptian sweets made with all natural ingredients and is better than Mr. Puffs - and I agree! The texture just seems better. Each order of Zalabya comes with 2 flavours and 1 topping. The milkshakes were flavourful - the mango milkshake actually tastes like mango and the KitKat milkshake tastes exactly like KitKat. I didn't watch him make it, but it definitely had real, quality ingredients in it. And on top of that, you get to keep the cute plastic bear cup! Lastly, the pistachio Dubai chocolate bar - I was expecting it to come prepackaged from a store, but I was told that it was made in house. The chocolate wasn't too sweet, it had that satisfying cracking sound when you break it apart, and the centre was so crunchy.
