Decent, but these sweets are not for me. I enjoy sweet and even the occasional Timbit, but I found these puffs drenched in oil and super sweet. Overall just very wet and aggressively sugary. In an age where people are trying to eat healthier, I cant really imagine myself coming back for this when I could have a larger portion of more refined sweets elsewhere. Likely a better fit for people with a major sweet tooth or for kids. It's similar to a treat you'd eat at a food truck in a festival or outdoor event. I feel as if I ate an entire week's worth of sugar in one go. The shop itself is pretty modern, spacious, and clean. Sparse seating, lots of mirrors, etc. But the location is great, and there's lots of plaza parking. Staff were ok but very busy with orders. The rest of the menu seems good. Lots of variety of other sweet drinks and pastries, but also items to balance out the sugar like coffee, tea, savoury pastries, etc. Kind of like a crossover between Tim's and Starbucks. I am hesitant to try other items though because of how sweet the puffs were. The pricing is also really steep for the kind of food it is. Personally speaking, Id rather hit Krispy Kreme because those donuts while sugary, don't feel as greasy / heavy as these puffs. For comparison these puffs are around $1/pc and an original donut at Krispy Kreme is around $1.50 An additional minus is the online/app ordering process. I ordered on the app, arrived, and didn't notice any instruction for pickup ( no signage , markers, etc). I waited 10 mins because it was pretty busy, staff were working nonstop, and I had just ordered less than 5 mins ago. I had to ask the staff about my order, and it turned out it was ready all along sitting in a cabinet with frosted glass doors, so I couldn't even tell they had any orders waiting. Great little donut holes dessert spot! Came here on a whim as we already in the plaza. Couldn't pass up an opportunity to try 'new to us' donut holes. All flavours are mixed and added on top of the donut holes / puffs (none come pre-filled). They offer a syringe that you may purchase should you wish to fill those puffs yourself. All donuts come in one generic flavour of donut dough that are spheres of airy puffs and not solid cake. We chose the 2 flavours for our 12 pieces (2 flavours max for this quantity: biscotti (chocolate with sprinkles of pistachio) and apple cinnamon (syrup). Loved the freshness of these puffs and that they are super light to eat. The flavours were not overpowering nor too sweet. They staff were friendly and the ambience is modern and clean. Family came over for a meal and surprise bought Mr Puffs and more surprising was they remembered to bring a small vegan box as well. Now they were freshly made when they were picked up but the time they reached us about an hour later the difference in taste is expected. The Vegan were Raspberry and Sugar Cinnamon. The Raspberry was better flavour wise as it had a bit tang and sweet as well. The Sugar Cinnamon was just sugary sweet. The family that bought thoroughly enjoyed the regular ones as it was their favourite place. Most of us were OK. However we will try it at least once more eating them fresher. read more

A new dessert place from Quebec opened in Heartland. It was definitely a nice treat on the weekend. There was a line up entering the place and even more people coming in to try it when we left. The place seems to be "hot!!" It looks like timbits, but the dough is chewy and can be a bit oily. My partner said it tasted like a funnel cake. We gave it a "try" by ordering 5 puffs with their twist soft serve for $5.75. If you want, 12 puffs are $8. The flavours seems t be done by syrup dressing on top of the puffs. The puffs are made fresh behind the counter. One can see it clearly. I believe it's a hype thing for now, especially for young people. We definitely enjoyed it, but it's not an everyday dessert for me. So if you feel like carnival food or something sweet, this is the place to go to - before or after shopping at Heartland. read more

They're made fresh - apple cinnamon, bueno and chocolate hazelnut were my choices and boy were they good/ 12 pack and 30 pack gives you a choice of 2 flavours. 50 pack gives you 3 flavours. Customer service wise; the girl at the cash was mediocre, the girl that gave me my puffs was awesome. Why? Monday to fridays there is a 2 for 26 special: buy 2 boxes of 30 for $26; it flashes on their little screen so quick, I didn't even notice until I paid for my offer. I asked the girl what it was about and she explained it and looked at me like I was an idiot. After all the questions I asked about how I can split my box of puffs to share with friends she didn't even give me the option to purchase the 2 for 26. And then, I realized that they had a punch card system for rewards. It was never offered to me but offered to the customer behind me. The customer after that wasn't offered one but the one after was offered. I noticed the common denominator was racial, but maybe it was a coincidence. When I asked the girl at the end who finished and gave me my puffs how the rewards program worked and that I didn't get one, she was kind enough to ask the cashier and wow, the look I got when she saw who was asking for one.... I got to try Mr Puffs as a friend brought a box over recently. I've heard a lot about it but never got the chance to try it until then. She chose her favourites: bueno and cappuccino crunch. I actually loved it both. It was a little sweet imo but I like that it wasn't too oily. It's best served hot I think. Once it cools down, it still tastes good but not as good. Solid 3/5, Mr. Puffs was just OK. There's been a lot of hype around their loukoumades for a while now. Intrigued when I first saw the tiktoks, I almost tried it out when I kept coming across them in Montreal and Florida but skipped it. When I found out they opened in Mississauga, I finally caved. To preface, I'm not big on sweets - not when they're overly sweet. For me, Mr. Puffs was exactly that. Overly sweet, drowned in basic sugary sauces, super oily. YMMV if you happen to catch them fresh and eat them fresh. When I dropped by midday, there were a ton of loukoumades that have been prefried already and sitting. I am greek and so are Loukoumades they are little bite-sized fluffy sweet honey balls (the Greek version of donuts), which are deep fried to golden and crispy perfection. I also love supporting Greek businesses! I got the Apple, hazelnut and sugar cream flavours! The sugar cream was actually my favourite as it reminded me of noir authentic loukoumades! I love that they show the prices with taxes included and believe that everything is well priced for the quality and quantity you are getting! I've actually never heard of Mr. Puffs until I saw the storefront while in the area. Mr. Puffs reminds me of Tiny Tom's but mega Tom's. Delicious, airy, and fresh! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I decided to try the cookies and crème, and cinnamon sugar flavours. They were yummy! I was happy to hear about a Mr Puff location that opened up in Mississauga. My friend bought some from the North York location one time and I really enjoyed it. For those who have yet to try their puffs, imagina crispy dough ball lathered in delicious diabetes. They have over 20 sauces to choose from but in my opinion, your number one pick should be the cookies and cream (though I also really like the chocolate hazelnut). The balls themselves are doughy so they absorb the sauce well. The pricing model is pretty fair in my opinion. A box of 30 puffs is around $17 with your choice of 2 sauces. It's a bit of a premium compared to a box of 20 Timbits from your local Tim Hortons (which costs around $5) but these puffs are freshly baked and taste so much better. read more

I always kind of knew this place existed in this plaza in heartland but never really ventured into here until a friend of mine brought some to a party. Damn.. did my world change after that hahah. I was skeptical but IM SOLD!. Mr Puffs are awesome! Does it beat Krispy Kremes? Maybe, it's very close. The Puffs are like Fried Doughtnut balls and not actual Puffs like cream Puffs, the inside is chewy like mochi and outside crispy like a churro The doughnuts are Crispier and Chewier which is amazing however the sauces are very sweet and basically drowned in it, I very much prefer the classic krispy kreme glaze, over the chocolate drizzle from Mr Puffs, but maybe that's because I choose the Bueno Puffs. I'm so down to try all the other flavors now! They also sell ice cream and drinks besides the Puffs, however the doughnuts are really the star of the show. 7.95 for 12 pack of Puffs good enough for 2 people, is definitely worth it for sure. I admire the modern style of the location. It's a wonderful area for everyone to interact and share food. The fact that there were alternatives to puff balls amazed me. They offer ice cream, coffee, and iced tea! I'll probably try the iced peach black tea the following time, hehe. I chose sugar cinnamon puffs and a nescafe mocha beverage, while my friend had half apple cinnamon and biscotti puffs with iced mocha. We really enjoyed it. It was fresh! While being crispy on the outside, it melts in your mouth as you bite into it. The puff balls are incredibly fluffy and with the sauce, it adds sweet flavour to it. I usually order from the North York location but decided to visit this location on New years eve since I was heading to a friend's place to celebrate the NYE. I knew it was going to be busy and decided it was best to preorder 4 hours a head of time. Once I got there it was packed with live orders and online. They were way behind capacity and still had the audacity to accept online orders knowing that people who preorder still had to wait an extra half an hour to an hour which defeated the purpose of "pre-ordering." I understand they are freshly made but did not realize they would be packed on the spot upon arrival which was my mistake. However, the issue was that regardless of what time you ordered they would just acknowledge that you arrived and put your order along the assembly line with any current live orders with no priorities whatsoever. I was told 5 mins which 15 had past and again was told another 5 mins by then a well over half an hour had past. The lokmas were delicious, warm, crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. We got the cookies & cream, cappuccino Crispy, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate bueno. They were super addictive and definitely a party favorite. I think ill stick to the north york location and avoid this location if necessary. Maybe it would help if they turned off online orders and focused on catching up on a busy night rather than upsetting potential returning customers. Try to avoid pre-ordering during holidays or busy events cause you're guaranteed to wait forever unless you don't mind. read more

The store is bright, clean and spacious with a decent amount of tables for you to enjoy the puffs. There are tons of flavours to choose from and you can get either 12, 30 or 50. . . Sugar Cinnamon (12pcs) 4/5 . . I didn't really know what to expect with these puffs, but first bite in and I was mind blown. The puffs are piping hot as they are made to order. The outside is crispy, and the inside is light and chewy... similar to a mochi donut texture. I highly recommend eating these hot because it's so so so good. However I definitely made the mistake of eating too much at once because I was so full to eat anything else for the next 5 hrs LOL Overall I enjoyed the puffs a lot, but I would suggest sharing them with more people so you can try more flavours and not make yourself sick from eating too much! read more

I've been dying to try mr puffs since seeing it last time in Montreal, but didn't get a chance to. Like many have already reviewed, these puffs are like fried donut holes that are super crispy on the outside, but have the softest chewy center. The have a variety of toppings and you can mix and match up to three flavors depending on how many you're getting. I got the box of 12 and they let me choose two flavours: biscotti and cinnapuffs. The biscotti one tastes more like Ferrero rocher instead of biscotti but I ain't complaining because it was very good with a generous amount of hazelnut spread on top. The cinnapuff was a bit lighter with a white glaze and dusting of cinnamon. Both were fantastic! Surprisingly, they had a lot more than just the puffs on the menu. They had ice cream, milkshakes, cafe drinks etc. I thought the price was decent for what it is. It ended up being 8 dollars for 12 puffs, not too bad. OMG...I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. It was very busy when i got there late in the evening around 6pm and yet it got busier while I was waiting for my order. I ordered the strawberry puffs and cinnamon sugar. They were perfectly crispy and soft on the outside. Is the concept a puff shaped funnel cake? This is what they reminded me of...Highly addictive. They also had some interesting drinks, but by the time I noticed them, while I was waiting , the line was too long. The place is well lit with fair amount of seating but seeing as how busy it gets, probably better to take out. Classic flavours like honey cinnamon, sugar cream, or sugar cinnamon are recommended as the flavours with heavier toppings are very rich and sweet. Mr Puffs would be 5 stars if not for their less than ideal online ordering system. The language settings could use some work, and it's annoying that there is no dedicated online pickup area- you still have to line up in order to pick up your online order, otherwise it looks like you're trying to jump the queue. read more

My experience at Mr. Puffs was just okay. Despite the hype around their loukoumades, I found them to be overly sweet and oily. The sauces tasted great though, and they had a huge selection. The loukoumades I tried were not fresh, which may have contributed to their poor quality. While the prices at Mr. Puffs are cheap, I would not recommend the loukoumades due to their excessive sweetness and oiliness. There are a huge variety of puff flavours to choose from ranging from fruity flavours to more chocolate-like types. My favourite flavours would have to be Choco-berry and strawberry. The staff there would very kind, welcoming, and hard working. The overall look of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing with vibrant orange and white colours.
