She was an indispensable part of wedding planning for us. I interviewed with a few wedding planners, but Maria was the most personable and helpful among those that I met. She was enthusiastic and even offered free advice at the consultation before I even hired her! For the most part, I planned my wedding remotely. We got married in Chicago but by the time most of the planning was happening we had moved out of state. Maria found the best vendors for us and was able to maximize our visits to Chicago. She wrote thorough and timely emails in response to my (admittedly neurotic) queries. She also knows a TON of people in the business. She found out that our caterer WENT OUT OF BUSINESS almost a full month before the caterer sent a notification to clients. She called us, explained the situation and already had plans of how to fix everything to make our day perfect. We turned a disaster into a minor inconvenience. A few days before the wedding, we moved the location of the ceremony due to rain. Maria handled ALL of the communication with vendors, reconfigured the schedule of events and handled the new last minute decorations. It was seamless and NOT stressful at all. That's not something many brides can say during the wedding week. On the day of my event, I felt like Maria was everywhere at once. It was amazing! She had previously mentioned (in passing) that she had another wedding that day - and you would have never known. Everything went smoothly (and if it didn't, I never heard about it!) If I ever plan another event in the Chicago area, I will reach out to Maria. She was a pleasure to work with and I am glad that her business seems to be doing so well.

We reached out to Clover about four months before or wedding, desperate for help in coordinating the overwhelming array of vendors we had secured. Niki jumped right in, and took over as primary contact with the space, the caterer, the photographer, the staffing agency, and everyone else. Our stress level dropped immediately and dramatically, giving us the space and time to focus more on the meaning and excitement of our impending nuptials. Niki met with us on several occasions and set up a variety of very helpful walk-throughs with various vendors. So many times throughout the process my then-fiance and I said to one another "How could we ever have done this without Niki?" Niki was so professional, thoughtful, attentive, patient, kind, flexible, fun, and supportive throughout the entire process. She was incredibly organized and detail-focused but not in an excessive, pushy, or overbearing way. Well, not just any wedding planner - you really should consider and call Tying the Knot. I'll admit it, when I was first engaged, I was skeptical about having a wedding planner. I thought, "what can they really help me with? I love to plan, I've figured it all out." MEH, Wrong. Turned out - having Brooke around really helped us with staying on track, planning and the overall timing of everything we needed to do. Everyone at Tying the Knot is very helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt like I was bothering them with any of my 1001 questions I may have had (or more). We also got an hour of her time to use how we wanted and we chose to use it by having her attend our final meeting with our caterer. She asked the perfect questions! Brooke ensured all of our vendors knew their responsibilities and where / when to show up. She helped me coordinate things like who needed parking, who required a hot meal, etc. to ensure I didn't miss anything with all of the contracts. She helped coordinate our rehearsal at the actual church (not the dinner) and she spent the day of with my bridesmaids and me making sure we were on time to everything. While we did pictures around the city, she went to our reception venue to ensure everything was set up correctly. The few (tiny) issues that did come up on the actual wedding day she handled without even getting us involved. It was perfect! My parents were skeptical about having someone help us because they thought they could do everything I needed the day of the wedding, but I wanted everyone to be able to relax and have fun without worrying about all the details.
