The Tax Deduction has become quite the basketball player at the amazing age of nine (and a half!)…read more He plays in the YMCA Leagues mostly which are wonderful but the coaches are largely volunteer and while I appreciate their time and effort it is the basics over and over again. I started looking for a way to get him extra coaching and happened upon Shoot 360. We started with a free evaluation session to see where he was and that looked promising, which was no surprise to me. After that we signed up for monthly allotments of minutes to use for shooting and ball handling with their state of the art training methods in shooting cages and ball handling stations. It is not coaching one on one but it is measured and through measurement we can see improvement from session to session or where to allot more time to. Count on about $60 a month for your young player. However I do see middle aged people here a lot, so the pick up game players must see a value in this as well. Coaching is sporadic, you can pay for specific one on one time extra, but as The Tax Deduction runs through his drills he is usually visited by one to three coaches who correct and encourage. Sometimes I have to get a little pushy to get a visit, but this place can be busy so it is understandable. What it is though is state of the art, it looks like something a NBA team would use and so far it is working as my son gets closer to competing at middle school soon. **I am not one of *those* parents, if ever wants to leave basketball he is free to,

They also allow group leaders to treat paying members in a rude faction sort of like they are entitled. Also, when you point out on the phone that they mishandled the scheduling error, and you make the comment so much for equity and inclusion they hang up on you. Isn't that just how it is when you point out the inequity, they shut you down. So much for fairness and justice for the individual.

She expressed that I am her caregiver gave permission verbally and signed ROIs. They would not get back to me for ever, I had to call the main office. When they did, there were more things to sign, then she was told we would revisit the safety meeting Aug 18, then she was told the fallowing Thursday she had to be out that's tomorrow! She is not assertive, she doesn't speak up, she is scared and overwhelmed (which is why you needed to work with me). She is quiet and respects everyone, she cleans up after herself and others! Why is this an OK thing to do? Shame on you YWCA!! If you're resident has a caregiver you need to work with that person. Shame on you!! You have been more of a hindrance than help, she was given a list of not local apartments, offered to pay her 1st month, she has no income. Shame On you!! For causing her more anxiety and stress than she already had. Shame on you! I deeply love those I provide care for! I feel this is unacceptable.

An October late afternoon was spent here wandering through Lewisville Regional Park, and by the end…read moreI felt like I'd stumbled into a slice of old‑school nature magic. The park's 2.8‑mile trail winds through a mix of dense forest and sunlit meadows along the East Fork Lewis River, giving you moments of peaceful reflection and wide-open breathing room. We decided to spend our time taking Halloween photos all over the park. While enjoying ourselves, it was great inspiration. There is something grounding about the tall Douglas firs and the hum of the river nearby. I found a quiet spot on one of the gravel paths, sat down for a bit, and just watched as the river ran. Apparently it's not just a walking park, either..there are places to picnic, horseshoe pits, and even a small boat launch if you want to get out on the water. There are lots of picnic tables and covered shelters too, perfect for a family gathering or a chill afternoon with friends. I heard on warm days, people swim here..though heads up, there are no lifeguards and the river currents can be strong. Parking is simple, though there's a daily fee (around $3 for a car). If you come here often, the annual pass is a pretty good deal. If you're craving a place to get away from the city, stretch your legs, or just be near water and trees, Lewisville Regional Park is the perffffect place. It's peaceful, historic (hello, WPA-era charm), and deeply rooted in nature. See my pictures for yourself hehe

We took the loop trail, about 3 miles around the park, into the forest and along the river. There are multiple large grassy areas, play areas, and courts. The pavilions are superb. They are fully equipped, including a water source and fire pit, and are spread out throughout the acreage. The trail was great as well. The paths are very wide and well maintained, a dog walkers paradise. I was also impressed with the amount of trash cans, no excuse for litter in this park. There was a very small thing that really impressed me, hadn't seen it before...a container near the waters edge to place used fishing line. Would love to see those more often! The ONLY negative experience we had was trying to get in. Neither of the parking pass machines were working well and consistently. It took us about 10 tries to get a ticket. After multiple swipes of the credit card and attempts with some bills, we finally got one. And it wasn't us, we had a long line behind us and multiple people out trying to get them to work. When we left the park we noticed the same traffic jam...they definitely need addressed! As frustrating as the parking machines were, the park made up for it. Fabulous place to spend an afternoon!
