It is a great place if you want to be conveniently located within walking distance to the Jet Express (which takes you to Put in Bay) and downtown Port Clinton and have access to great fishing. However if you are a business traveler or someone who is looking for peace and quiet, consider other inns as this one is located off a busy street that is heavily patrolled by cops. Additionally, wifi access is limited to non existent. But the breakfast is delish and rooms are clean. It's reasonably priced as well.

Four Seasons is steps away (has great view of lake) from Millers Ferry to Put In Bay and wine tasting. While my husband went fishing, I took the ferry to the island and enjoyed the wineries with family. Later, when he was done fishing he parked the boat in a secure lot near the B&B and joined us, via the ferry, for the afternoon and dinner. Jenny is a great cook and very accommodating making breakfast/coffee early for my husband and later for me. We enjoyed meeting Jim and Jenny and spending time at Four Seasons B&B. First B&B experience...and this was exactly the weekend getaway my mom and I were both looking for…read more Checked in on a Friday night in October around 730pm to the open arms of a lovely couple Eileen & Jerry. First impression? Let's just say I felt like one of their grandchildren--- adopted grandchild from the city of Chicago who just wanted to break into tears in their arms and be told everything was going to be okay. - Stayed 2 nights in "Room 2"- faced the lake where we were able to watch the sunset...also had more windows, a canopy bed and a more modern decor. - Each bedroom had a private bathroom which was a PLUS! They also have a 2-bedroom cottage that they rent out next door. - Small TVs w/ VHS players in rooms (I know! VHS!). they had a bunch of VHS tapes in the hallway aka their VHS library. I kind of thought that had a really cute feel to it...really made me feel like a kid again. Just a great feeling to get away from it all into this B&B and keep things stress-free and SIMPLE! - Right across the street from the lake! Also just a few minutes away to Nagoya (habachi dinner) and Mon Ami Winery (seafood buffet and winetasting!). - Hosts provided us w/ maps and recommendations for restaurants- not much to do in Port Clinton in the middle of October but we made the most of it! - Jerry baked for us every morning! Breakfast was great consisting of fresh fruits, sausage links, french toast, homemade waffles, muffins between the two nights all served on really cute gold lined plates! - They have a massage lady that comes in by appointment, but she wasn't available when we needed her so we ended up getting massages in downtown Port Clinton. Overall a very homey experience! I shall return for a relaxing weekend of my own :). Maybe for the next winetasting event in Port Clinton?! Would love to stay here over the summer and get some writing/reading done.

We checked out Island House Hotel as part of the Walleye Drop to ring in 2026…read more I scoured reviews to see what I could find out about it, and it turns out the hotel is now individual vacation rentals. It seems that a large majority are managed by a few vacation rental management companies, so could explain why some had different experiences than others. As some other reviewers stated, yes the rooms are small.. but it's a historic hotel. If you've ever stayed anywhere historic, this is pretty common. Nothing unusual. The room was clean and pleasant. Due to it being a holiday, I'm sure the rate was a bit higher because this hotel is centrally located. This is the upside, you can walk to everything from the hotel. Parking was included and plentiful, and the self-check in/out was smooth. As some have noted, the instructions come by email so make sure you watch for that. Overall I have nothing bad to say about it- worked out great for us for what we wanted.

Ann and her crew delivered a delicious hearty breakfast. It was a start to which we looked forward each morning. A couple of examples of the extent of hospitality were the attempt on Ann's part to shuffle rooms so that my mother had an accessible one. Also, we had access to the use of their washer and dryer when we needed it. Ann gave us useful suggestions on where to visit. She let us know about the local restaurant discounts that we were entitled for staying at the inn. Thank you Ann for making our Labor Day a memorable one!

We spent more time looking out the window than watching TV. Fishing charters take a long time, and we had a great day on the water. The only negative was the last morning we had a smoke alarm go off multiple times the last morning we were there. We had to get up to go anyway, but none of us smoke so it was annoying that we had to deal with this multiple times. Truly strange but it is what it is. The price is a little high, I expect the summer pricing is even higher but this location is so nice.

I had completed a mobile check-in. I prepaid to stay here for 3 nights and was supposed to checkout tomorrow. I go into the app to see that they cancelled my reservation. Never called or sent an email. I called them yesterday and could not talk to a manager. Called back today and they said to call Marriott corporate. So they took my money and never let me check-in or stay there. It's absolutely abysmal customer service. Marriott corporate is no help. If you're fine having them charge your card for $760 and you not get to stay there, then go ahead and book your stay here. Also CAUTION to families traveling from states away, imagine driving all this way to find out you have no place to stay and they took almost $1k of your money. I've stayed at Sawmill Creek before which is a beautiful resort and the only reason I booked at the Fairfield because of my loyalty to Marriott. Do not prepay here, they will take your money. I should have paid more attention to the 1 star reviews on google, trip advisor, and yelp.
