Sweet little motel near the entrance of Cedar Point. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The lobby was very clean so I felt good that the rooms would also be, and they were. Beds were comfortable, the ac worked, and we had a fridge and microwave. There is a cute little pool with two awesome slides that my kids loved. Breakfast in the morning wasn't bad. There was a pancake machine in addition to every carb you could want for breakfast + yogurt, fruit and hard boiled eggs. The only reason I gave this four stores is because the room was small, especially the bathroom (there really isn't a separate area to change), but other than that it was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Motel was ok but for the price, you could definitely get something better in the area. This is set up like a motel where the doors are on the outside and there is no inside hallway. This means it can be noisy due to people walking outside being loud and the slamming of car doors. The rooms were ok but had that slightly misplaced sort of feel which is common in an independent motel. The showerhead was super low for some reason. It's only about 6 ft high. The only plus I see if that it's very close to cedar point.

Reviews were great so we quickly pulled the trigger! Check in process was super simple. You can check in on the app and you can actually pick your room. Since we have never stayed here before, we didn't have a preference so we let them pick. We quickly verified the ID at the front desk and we were on our way to our room. Receptionist were both very friendly and even offered us waters. They do have hot coffee and hot water for tea/hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby. They also have a 24/7 store at the desk with sooo many snacks and drink options! They have multiple TVs, sittting areas and shuffle board/foosball in the lobby, which we saw lots of people enjoying. Our room was spacious. Plenty of room for storage. It smelled fresh and clean. The shower was perfect size, just wish the water was a bit warmer. My boyfriend has been raving about the hand soap since the second he tried it (it's a great scent!). They have hand soap, body lotion, conditioner, shampo, body wash all hanging on the wall for your convenience. Our king bed was very comfy and the AC worked perfectly in our room. The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever eaten. So many options! I opt for the cheese egg omelets, sausage patties, and pancakes. Plenty of toppings for your pancakes, as well as toppings for yogurt and oatmeal too. Large variety of breads and carbs. It was perfect before a long day at Cedar Point! All staff was so nice and welcoming during our entire stay. Pet friendly!

The breakfast area is clean and well-maintained. The attendants are super nice and friendly and they make sure you have what you need. The breakfast isn't horrible but it isn't the best. I would love to go back for a day and not even go to the park but just enjoy the hotel and its amenities. I do want to point out one thing that was kinda frustrating for us. The guy who checked us in told us that the pools closed at 9 but the hot tubs closed at 11. That didn't make sense to us. So we left the park early so our kids could play in the pool just to find out they're both open until 11. Both pools and both the pools and hot tubs. That caused us to take time away from the park when we didn't actually need to. The park closed at 10. It didn't make sense for the pool to close at 9. It also didn't make sense that the hot tubs which are in the same area would be open until 11 but not the pools. While we only stayed 1 day here, we spent Saturday evening-Monday afternoon at the park. Had we only been there for one day, and been given wrong information about the pool times and left the park early for the pool when we didn't need to, I would have been more frustrated. It would be super lovely if there was a shuttle between cedar point and their hotel properties. Rooms 7/10 We had a combination room. The doors were difficult to keep open so we could go between the two. They were okay. The floors were kinda gross, wouldn't recommend walking on them without shoes. There isn't really anywhere to unpack your clothes. The mattress was okay. The pillows were terrible and super flat, my neck hurt waking up each morning. The bathrooms were clean, there was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash mounted on the shower wall, but one of the rooms conditioner and body wash was completely empty and the staff never replaced it even after we asked. It was really nice to have both a mini fridge and a microwave in both rooms. Waterpark 8/10 Decent. Lots of slides, different sizes for all ages. It was really disappointing that the hot tub was closed though. Woulda been nice to stick our feet in after long days of walking at cedar point. Cafe in the Lobby: - Coffee 0/10 The employees don't know how to make majority of the drinks they have on their menu. Absolutely disgusting. - Pizza 8/10. actually was ok. Looked like a frozen pizza. Tasted like a frozen pizza. Other amenities: Very little kid friendly between the dance parties, and craft room. The arcade is also nice and spacious, with a great variety of games that seem well-maintained. However, there's some issues that really detract from the experience. Customer service was my biggest gripe. The check in guy was pretty cold at first, but later he was more helpful. I was especially disappointed with the snack bar staff. The water park snack bar is in a dimly-lit corner, and when I went in, there was no one visibly working there. After a minute, a lady came out from the back, and I asked if the snack bar was open at that time. She gave me a condescending look, and didn't say anything, as if I should obviously expect the location to be open, despite the lack of an open sign or employee behind the counter. Then another guy comes out and starts making the order and neither him nor his coworker talked at all, just kinda scowled and made my partner and I feel like we were doing something wrong just by being respectful paying customers. They were the kind of workers I'd expect to see at a run-down McDonald's late at night, not a family vacation resort. The hotel itself is also nothing special. The beds are small and not particularly comfy, but the rooms are clean and nice enough. But the walls are THIN and you hear way too much noise from other guests. Overall: good waterpark+okay hotel+bad staff=mixed experience

BUT it doesn't change the fact that I'm responsible for wasting a ton of food in an economy where no one should waste anything. On top of the refrigerator issue, the outside area is just bad. I didn't bring folding chairs because we were limited on space but now I wish we did. The picnic table needs painted or replaced desperately, the handrail to the cabin looks like an accident waiting for a place to happen and the mold growing on the window is frightening.
