We spent a couple of hours enjoying the nice weather and fire with Cedar Point off in the distance. Our room was cozy and well appointed. We had a super comfy bed and our own bathroom with shower. Sheets and blanket were perfect. Breakfasts were delicious and meticulously made with ingredients from their garden. My favorite was the frittata with veggies. Coffee, tea and water available 24/7. A nice place we'd happily return to on our next trip to the island.

They did not have central air conditioning in the room, so if you like to control the temperature please make note of that. The second floor rooms do seem to get a little warm, but we turned on the fan and opened the windows to catch a lake breeze. The property is about one mile from the ferry marina and the downtown area. A lovely on-island stay.

They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, they even changed their own plans as well! As for the house itself, it is something out of a story book! Suzee is an exceptional designer, and the entire house feels lively and comfortable. You truly feel at home. You get the entire upstairs which includes a massive bedroom, a TV room, and a private bathroom. No one bothers you or even checks up on you. You are given the house key, so you are free to come and go as you please. With being only 1 mile from the lake (great for sunsets!), and just minutes from the great local shops and restaurants in Sandusky, OH, the Cottage Rose is the place to stay! (Especially at only $85 a night!).

Four Seasons is steps away (has great view of lake) from Millers Ferry to Put In Bay and wine tasting. While my husband went fishing, I took the ferry to the island and enjoyed the wineries with family. Later, when he was done fishing he parked the boat in a secure lot near the B&B and joined us, via the ferry, for the afternoon and dinner. Jenny is a great cook and very accommodating making breakfast/coffee early for my husband and later for me. We enjoyed meeting Jim and Jenny and spending time at Four Seasons B&B. That being said, this is the perfect place to stay when needing a room in this area. It's very small, 20 rooms maybe and very simple. Like previous reviewer said, no clock radio, no garbage cans, no frills at all. However, It's clean. Very important. It has relatively comfortable beds and a bathroom with a shower. I'm not sure what more you need for a night or two on the island. We stayed there for a wedding that was being held across the street and it was perfect for us. The women who worked the front desk were very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you don't need anything fancy and just want to get away for the night!
