We're late to this review but we were trapped in a nightmare situation when a dealer sold us a car out of state but clearly didn't have experience doing so -- we ended up not getting title or tags for months, so it just sat there in our parking spot undriveable while we made insurance and loan payments. We got increasingly frustrated in the dealer's inability and unwillingness to try and solve the problem, so we turned to legal help -- and Chuck solved our problem. In our case, the dealer offered to refund all our car and insurance payments and basically unwind the sale of the car, but shortchanged Chuck a little bit in terms of his fee -- Chuck still advised us to take the deal. My son bought a car from a dealer up in Sacramento. The dealer told us that the car had a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty. We were also told that the car had just been serviced. However after 10 days, the engine had a catastrophic failure. When we went back to the dealer to ask about the warranty, we found that he hadn't actually purchased it. We bought a used Red 2017 KIA SOUL+ VIN# KNDJP3A58H7413475, from Bay Motors on 5/5/2017. Mr. Riskin showed us his 1/13/17 Carfax report. We also pulled our own Carfax report on 5/3/17. However, these reports were useless, as we soon found out. After we purchased the car, we encountered a series of problems and brought it to our local KIA dealer. The KIA dealer pulled a new Carfax on 8/4/17, which now reported the car had been in an accident, on 10/24/2016!!! We were in shock!! Carfax waited a full 8 months to disclose the accident and the dealer never mentioned anything either. This was unbelievable!! The KIA dealer suggested we hire an attorney, which we did immediately. The Marshall Law Firm is a 10 STAR firm! My wife and I thought that it would be tough to get someone to represent us against the car dealer. We felt wronged and very frustrated and thought there was no recourse for what the dealer did to us but we were wrong. Chuck Marshall to the rescue! We purchased a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and thought we received a fair price and that we were treated well too. Because we commute I wanted to purchase a prepaid maintenance contract with the sale. We were quoted $2000 and it would be included with the loan. After signing the contract and paperwork, we took the car home and were happy. Almost 4 weeks later we were called back to the dealer, and they explained there was a problem. They told us that the financing bank, Capital One, doesn't allow maintenance contracts on the loan, and that they had to change it to a 10 year 100,000 mile extended warranty. While upset and disappointed we agreed to the terms. While on the phone with the bank one day months later I asked them about not allowing the maintenance contract on the loan. They told me that they don't limit those things and that they don't have those restrictions. I couldn't believe it! WE WERE DECEIVED BY THE DEALER! I didn't have to look far for help! Chuck Marshall answered my email the same day and called me on the phone. He negotiated a very handsome settlement for us, and we couldn't be happier! I like to assume the best in people and refused to believe that used car salesmen live up to the negative stereotype of being sleazy and dishonest. Well, I bought a car for my 16 year old son, and was promised that the car was in perfect condition and was "like buying a certified pre-owned" car.
