At Roseville I was a drain on resources. At Carmichael I became a human being, worthy of healthcare. Every single person I interacted with at Carmichael PMA was kind, attentive, and actively took an interest in improving my health. Everyone. The receptionist, the nurse practitioner, the doctor, the doctor's assistant, even people who weren't directly involved in my care acted like they were glad I was there. I was astonished. I have very low lung function. When Roseville diagnosed me, they wrote me off. When I walked in the door for an appointment the receptionist would look at me and sigh. When I had health issues I had to get a consensus on Facebook to diagnose me, then try to get someone at Roseville to do something about it, with varying degrees of success. The excellent care at Carmichael PMA was not an aberration. I got sick and was immediately sent to Riverside PMA, where a Carmichael PMA doctor saw me. I was treated very well. I can say nothing but good about these people.

Unfortunately, when my appendix ruptured in 2018- and I had heart palpitations -.. it's good to have routine check ups. Luckily I found a really good and sensible cardiologist.. Easy to speak with and very knowledgeable. At first- my next appointment was going to be in six months- (said he'd want more banana bread- hehehe).. but he cleared me for another year check up.. Walking and eating healthier has been the biggest motivation.. Glad to have found a really rare and caring cardiologist..

Then congestion and coughing. I can't believe that a Dr would treat asthma and lung issues there. I took a shower before coming and went home took another shower and washed all my clothes. I only saw Dr Chong for like one min. He insinuated my female primary care Dr did not need to refer me to a pulmonologist. My CT scan showed tree in bud nodes. I was first seen by the female to do temp and blood pressure. Then another lady intern came to talk to me about my medical history and conditions. He didn't even care about my mom's metastatic lung cancer, oh she smoked he said. If I ever saw a misogynist it was him. I feel sorry for the people there, I do not recommend.

He explained everything and acknowledged the parts of my condition that he isn't very familiar with (it is a quite rare condition). He listened to my questions and concerns and didn't get irritated, as some physicians do, about the fact that I do a lot of my own research, too, to try and get as much information as possible. Dr. Robinson answered my questions, completed his notes right then and there, sent notes to another specialist regarding a procedure I also need, and gave me a note for my employer. I am very pleased with the level of care and concern I experienced with Dr. Robinson and my husband, who was with me during my appointment, felt the same.

I was there to get a new cpap machine. I brought in with over 10 years of data from the sandisk chip and met with a practitioner that was a lovely person. She seemed to understand what she was doing. She sent a prescription to Lincare for the new equipment and I was sent on my way. After two weeks of not hearing from Lincare or from Mtn View I tried calling them both. Lincare has an answering AI that will have you leave your contact information in exchange for a call back. (Which never came). My call to Mtn View was on a day they didn't have office hours. I didn't know this and stayed waiting on hold until the line hung up. Their office hours are not on their answering service. Inconvenient to say the least. I called a different day and got a person only to find out that they require a sleep study or at least previous test results to issue a cpap under my insurance. This information could have been conveyed weeks earlier. They say on their answering service how they are committed to quality care. It simply is not true. Go elsewhere for your care.

The reception staff however, need to be a bit more friendly and not so rude and detached. May need training in customer service and understand the type of patients being seen and to show some compasion. Dont greet a patient by just saying what is your birthday? 5 stars for Dr. Foster only.
