The food looks like it all comes out of cans, and the staff has not been very careful to give my mother , who is a diabetic, the correct food for her diet. It seems like most patients/ residents there feel the same way about the food , that it SUCKS, they take a few bites and lets the rest go to waste. I'm not sure what happens after visiting hours but it seems like there is little to no staff to help in the case of an emergency, maybe they are sleeping on the job... or just don't know what they are doing... either way.. this is NOT a place I would send any loved one intentionally.

I have been impressed with their continued professionalism, and dedication to all their patients. During this difficult time, the staff has made my father feel at home. The activity director is always working hard making the dining experience warm, and inviting. I am grateful for the Director, he is readily available to help with questions throughout the day. Most of the Nurses, CNAs, and therapists went above and beyond. They explained what was going to happen each day, as to therapy, linens, tests, medication ajustments, etc. My wife required assistance with the commode, and they were great in helping her. Linen changed when needed. Therapists there are top notch. Negatives: As with everything in life, there is room for improvement. Pine Hill is understaffed, and Nurses are responsible for 10 to 16 patients at a time. The Commode was not cleaned after each use. (Intermittently) The rooms in the facility were way too warm. Multiple complaints by many patients. (This was a 3 week stay in May.) My Wife has Lipidema and needed wound care, which she didn't get at all the first 3 days that she was there, and then it was minimal. She did see a wound Dr. once a week after that, and the wound care improved. Most rooms are double occupancy, and the facility needs to take more of an active role in controlling the TV volume at night when a patient is blasting their TV after 10pm. Makes it hard for the roommate to sleep. My wife is picky when it comes to food, and said that she wanted no milk, cereal, or Apple sauce. She got all 3 anyway. Eggs and toast were cold when delivered.

I'll start by saying my Mom is definitely a complicated patient, but if they don't have the means to properly take care of someone then say so. The Medicare 5/5 is a joke. My Mom was here twice and sent back to the hospital in terrible condition from neglect. Second time she went straight to the ICU and almost died. Place smells nice, once you get past the front door however- disgusting. My Mom got a UTI and then colonized because of staff unhygienic practices. Always dependent loops in my Mom's catheter every single time I came to visit. No wonder she kept getting UTIs. The food is terrible- I don't see how anyone can recover being forced to eat the slop they feed you. They never communicate like they say they will. They say they draw labs, but how are your lab values so different from the hospital? When questioned the DON makes it like it my Moms fault, not theirs. When I originally came to get her stuff there wasn't a nurse around to get me her personal medication. I made a special trip to come back and get them only to be told that they "discarded" them. PT staff rough with my Mom. Told her, "You want to go home and see your family? Get up" - DO BETTER

Very poor practice management. They are causing patient harm with their negligence.

I absolutely enjoyed everyone that I met there, from admissions to the nurses and everyone at the desk services was just very friendly and welcoming. I am currently hoping to get my mom in here in a long-term position because I feel that a senior living facility just doesn't suit her health issues and needs that she needs anymore. My mom said that the food is great and that she could actually tell what she is eating LOL and if you've been at somebody's places you would totally understand but she's talking about! I am a patient of the sleep medicine clinic, and I cannot recommend them any less (if negative…read morestars were possible, I would assign them that!). Since being seen by Dr Nguyen at the very beginning of June, I have had nothing but hurdles to overcome in terms of trying to seek care for my sleep (or lack thereof) issues. Dr Nguyen recommended a sleep study at our appointment and referred me for such. The first referral was denied because of improper filing in her behalf, and it took over a week of calling daily AND messaging through the portal to have the referrals resubmitted properly. Then, the second round of referral was denied and I was told it was because she didn't complete a peer to peer consultation with my insurance. After calling to speak with the doctor on Monday, I was told by the office that she would be contacting me by Wednesday to discuss what happened with my referral. It is now Wednesday, and guess what! Still no word from the office or the doctor. I have also had multiple messages sent on my behalf from the sleep lab where the study should be taking place, and from the patient relations department. AND, because of the nature of this study, I am required to keep a log for two weeks prior to my study and be off of my medications for those two weeks before I can even do the testing. This, combined with the fact that referrals take up to (and usually max out on) a full two weeks to process, I am looking at a minimum of another month before I get any answers. Truly do not schedule with this clinic or provider if you value your sanity or if you are actually looking for a caring team to help you with your sleep issues.
