06/17/20 - Marshalls @ 6 corners, Milwaukee, Irving Park & Cicero Ave. Like all the other stores & businesses that have opened up in Stage 4 of 5 stages as the number of Covid infections in IL are on the downturn. I've been to this location before but never wrote a review. It's nice to be able to get out again even though the threat isn't entirely gone. It seems like many other feel the same after being quarantined for so long. It's good to see that people are compiling & wearing masks. Maybe this is why Covid is on the decline in Chicago, instead of on the increase like many of the southern states. Some of these other jackasses say they're in America & it's infringing in their freedom. I mean how is this any different then NO SHOES, NO SHIRTS, NO SERVICE. If you want to get infected & die no problem just don't take anyone else w/yo stupid ass. Sorry I got on a rant!! Marshall's did a good job prepping for the reopening w/the shelves well stocked, limiting the number of people in the store & providing social distancing markers throughout the store. This is a closest Marshalls to my place, so I visit it pretty often. Sometimes you can get not bad stuff, like everyday T-shirts, shorts, socks and other clothes. This place is ok, nothing specific. Unfortunately, there's no bike parking lot and I couldn't find man sunglasses read more

I love this Marshalls! I love that I can come by on any day of the week and this store is always stocked up, I can just about find anything that I need and don't need. Prices are affordable and vary from clearance to high end. I can always find a great deal! It's special a great value for young ladies. Drop them off and sit at Scoops while they shop and shop and shop. Better yet catch a movie. One warning: Never, never, go in with them. If you make that mistake you will only do it once. Let them judge for themselves what they think is "fashion" while you get to spend $10 for a dress instead of $400 at Macy's. So, I'm converted. I'm gonna start checking out Marshalls and it's sister store, TJ Maxx, more regularly. I also find I really like their athletic section. Really, really cute Nike, Adidas etc. clothing for super cheap. I have this whole selection now of super cute. quality athletic gear, all of which I scored at Marshalls! read more

Marshall's, or the shebang of T.J. Maxx sister stores, are probably some of the busiest retailers during the holiday season. Don't even attempt to head there on the weekends in December because you will be stuck in line forever and ever! I have written several reviews on Marshall's and T.J. Maxx. Here are the "do's" and "don'ts" based on my experience in shopping at various locations throughout the city: DO - keep an open mind, because you won't necessarily find the exact items you want. In other words, this kind of retailer isn't suitable for "point-and-shoot" style of shopping. Please allow yourself to have a plenty of time to browse through each aisle. - check out their home department, especially when you are thinking about hosting a tea party at your place. There is usually a massive selection of mugs, kitchen gadgets, organic tea, and random Danish cookies. However, ensure that expiration dates are carefully inspected before purchasing any food or beverage items. - pay attention on the " add-on" as you are making through the check-out line. I found "panettone," a traditional Italian Christmas cake that hubby requested this year. I honestly didn't spot this anywhere else in the store. DON'T - even think about finding bargains on their beauty clearance shelves. Most bottles have been opened, pumps have been activated, and packages have been either tempered or destroyed by mankind. I was contemplating on picking up some of the clearance beauty products as my associates' stocking stuffers, but I quickly scratched that idea when I witnessed this catastrophe. - expect merchandise to be impeccably organized and sorted according to the standard. You will find non-clearance items on the clearance racks and vice versa. It is what it is. That's all I need to say. I typically convert my credit card reward points into T.J. Maxx gift cards so that I can stock up some of the beauty products that normally cost twice as much in a department store. For example, I find the Shiseido foamy or deep-cleaning facial cleansers for under $13. This particular Marshall's location is part of the Six Corner shopping district, on the corner of Kilpatrick and Irving Park in east end of the Portage Park neighborhood, accessible via CTA #80 (Irving Park) bus. read more

I should quality as a 0 starts, I am or I was a frequent customer at this location , and when I got questions or requirements and took to talk with the "supervisor or manager" by name Carla or Karla she has been super rude has zero skills with customer service she dales not provide any solutions just rude and unsatisfactory attitude. She is clearly not happy with her job! And pull over all her frustrations to customers! She should be remove from that position immediately, I am clearly not going to this store anymore. read more

Marshalls @ 6 corners and W. Irving Park. This location is very well organized and clean. Staff are stocking and organizing shelves, which I don't see in other stores. I even saw someone sweeping the floor! Went the following day to pick up one more item and the store was in tip top shape. Found storage organizers, long sleeve Body Glove brand top 12.99, at Nordstrom it is $27, yoga equipment, frying pan and cotton rug. Sunday before 12 is less busy, lots of parking. read more

I went in on a Tuesday, late morning, and the store was clean and well-organized (as much as a place like Marshalls stores can be). And it seems pretty average-sized as far as Marshalls stores go. For anyone who hasn't been to a store like this before: Don't go with a detailed shopping list or expecting to get a specific kind of item. They have great deals on what they have, and do have seasonal items, but there isn't any way to predict specifically what they'll have. I especially enjoy the cooking accessories and food/snacks/spices aisles of this store. There are a lot of fun and colorful cooking accessories. There are also a decent of allergy-friendly snacks. Like the other reviews say, there was a long line at checkout, even at an un-busy time. This didn't really bother me because it's discount shopping -- I am saving money on items, and am willing to give up a bit more of my time waiting in line. Customer service at the registers is all well and good. Employees are polite and not overly pushy about store cards. Thumbs up if you are looking to vaguely browse for decent quality shoes, clothing, housing accessories, gifts, and other odds and ends. read more

This may be the busiest Marshall's I've ever been in. It's not unusual on a Saturday morning for a line to form waiting for the doors to open. Crazy, right? It has a really large shoe section, which I thoroughly approve - including large men & kids sections which often just get 1 row in other Marshall's. It's well organized, stocked and clean. There are even great friendly clerks throughout the store who couldn't be nicer. I'm sure they do need extra people on the floor for loss prevention purposes because the store is so busy. But there's a big downside that happens all the time. The registers never have enough cashiers and the wait can take forever more often than it should. I'm not sure what some of the patrons are even doing that can sometimes tie up a register for 10-20 minutes but, it's the norm here way more than it should be. If this issue could be fixed, my rating would definitely be higher. read more

This store is in the Marketplace at Six Corners just east of the Sears that has been there forever. There is a decent selection of apparel here with good prices, but sometimes the frenzied crowds can cause some of the clothing to be strewn about and you have to dig for what you are looking for. read more

Best and busiest Marshalls Ive been too. They have plenty to choose from and always have some great buys. Every associate Ive encountered is very nice and seems to have a good understanding of every part of the store. They are adhereing to social distancing and have markers and someone cleaning around the clock. There are other customers here and there that refuse to follow the guidelines and the employees here try there best to deal with these idiots. Also, some people that shop here are slobs throwimg stuff everywhere. The nerve. The line was long but they had every register open ( as many as they could because they are people too and must social distance as well) when I went and the line was moving quickly. They have to clean after every purchase which I appreciate. GREAT STORE ! read more

I have been coming here for almost 20 years. I like this location as its well organized /or it might seem like it to me due to shopping here for years/. They have plenty of cute clothes and I really like the home decor section. The floor staff is not helpful at all. I stopped bothering asking for help long time ago. Many times I would find clothing that I liked in a random place. And asking someone to tell you where to find it in a different size is like pulling teeth. The prices are low and they have a huge parking lot. They have plenty of registers, but for some reason the lines get really long. But they keep it moving smoothly. I came here on a weekend evening and you would of thought there was a clothing shortage. The line here looped around for days. I didn't notice this when I first came in so I spent 10-15 minutes finding a pair of jeans and trying them on only to put them back as I did not plan on standing in an hour long line. Marshalls is a discount clothing store providing a decent selection of items. Nothing special but it is cool seeing the original price tag and how far it has been marked down. Pretty standard and nothing special. I am not sure if it always this busy but long lines are never something I look forward to. read more

More often than not, I can rely on Marshalls for nice home decor at budget prices. At this location, I purchased a silver picture frame with a birds and branches design for $8, and a photo album with a nautical design. However, the clothing and handbags aren't much to look at. There's a new label by Cristian LaCroix on the handbags racks, but other than that, I breezed through this area pretty quickly. I would head down the street to TJ Maxx instead. read more

I'm surprised by some of the "meh" reviews. I found a lot of cute stuff here -but admittedly I was looking mainly at sportswear. I do understand that these stores can be kind of hit or miss. -It really depends on how the merchandise turns over. -But I find, with a little patience and a good eye, you can quickly scan over the crap to eye that one item that sticks out. I found a bunch of cute Nike shorts for the gym here. All the locations are pretty much the same for me. I didn't really find this one any different. I'm a pretty seasoned clearance rack shopper so these stores don't put me off. I am able to get in, scan the racks and pick up a few gems! read more

I never really liked Marshall's and would literally go the opposite direction when asked to accompany someone. I was not a fan of clothes thrown every where and the store being extremely unorganized. Well, I have noticed since moving to Chicago that Marshall's has a lot to offer. This is my neighborhood location and I have spent quite a few Saturday afternoons looking and finding great deals. Now it is still Marshall's so you will have to search quite often for quality pieces but once you find them they really are a lot cheaper than the department stores. read more

What a mess! Stuff everywhere and just depressing overall. If I could find some great deals, I wouldn't mind the mess because this is a discount store, after all. Problem is, I have never found a great deal here, which is why I give it a one star. Their home goods selection is not as big as TJ Maxx, I would never buy clothes here, so that really leaves me with nothing. I have found Frederick Fekkai products here, but the discount was only two dollars.. for that, I'd rather buy it at Nordstroms where I normally do and not leave the store feeling like I need to take a warm shower. I did see some great ugg boots and shoes last I was there, but no sizes that fit. This is where TJ Maxx dumps their stuff, so if you are a discount store FOR a discount store, you've got issues. read more

I live within walking distance and feel like the employees all recognize me by now and have always been very sweet! It's a Marshall's not Bergdorf's and everyone digs around while shopping but it's well kept and laid out so I've no issues finding stuff. I see the people who work there reorganizing stuff constantly throughout the day. Honestly some of my favorite clothes, sports equipment, cosmetics & shoes are from here I've zero reason to buy a pair of sneakers or whatever else at full price. They always have new skincare etc that's the exact same as sephora or Nordstrom just overstocked. I've bought all kinds of Kate Somerville, K beauty, nars (so many nars lip products here!!), Lancôme, a lot of Laura merrier etc etc . The sportswear section is mostly really nice Lulu type of stuff, NB, Nike, all kinds of bulls & blackhawks gear- last time I was there they had about 5 different types of Toms shoes for 20$ / pair -- I can go on forever - this location is well stocked! Love this store so much it's so much fun. read more

For the most part, it's a marshalls. Nothing special, but this location has some really nice pieces of furniture. Little odds and ends to complete the look of any room. I will definitely be checking back at this location from time to time so see what I can find. read more

I'd been shopper of this store for over 5 years and nothing has changed the customer service suck..big time If you are in the layaway or returns line be prepared to wait for more than 15minutes before someone ask you if you need help.Also they have like 5 registers a bout 5 employees on the front desk and only 1 register is open.The current manager is helpless once I ask him if posibble to open another register because more than 10 people waiting on line and he keep walking . read more

From all the Marshall's in Chicago, this is my favorite. Not that I've been to all that are in Chicago, but I've been to few and this one stands out. It is organized much better. It is hit or miss whether you find something cool, but chances seem better here than at other locations. They have a large women's clothing selection, actually all the departments have large selections. My favorite here is the home section. I found a great quilt here for under $40 and lots of bedding, a rug, kitchen supplies, and lots of other stuff. Once in a while they have good shoes. read more

I just left Marshalls very frustrated and upset after a extremely long line and a conversation with the manager Shanuka.. blonde hair lady with the glasses she refused to return my bra because it was used I told her it was not used it just didn't fit me and I would like store credit she refused again ave wouldn't even give me store credit she then told me that that bra is not a Marshalls bra and that the tags don't match I clearly did not go thu all that trouble to try to scam Marshalls out of a $10 bra . she had every excuse in the book to not return my $10 bra making my experience extremely frustrating... I will complain further other than Yelp it's crazy when some people take their jobs a little bit too seriously... read more

Methinks not is right! Every time I prepare to write my witty over dramatized reviews I remember how important it is to give 100% in customer service. I enjoy Marshall's prices and ability to have Home Decor, Clothes and Work out equipment. I was on a mission to find aesthetically appeasing wine glasses for a price that wouldn't involve giving my first child. On my journey to find these perfect display glasses for my new bar, I stumbled across the perfect set which with my luck only one left, I needed two. I asked customer service to find out if they were available at any other Marshall's and I'm given one phone call (I felt like I was in prison, who do I call my lawyer or my best friend, my family!? AHHHHH!) Well I choose a store that refuses to take our call and I say forget it I'll go to the store in person and give a piece or 5 of my mind, long behold I didn't buy the glasses at the first store due to the fact of possibly not finding another match, I come to find the store we tried to contact had them and lets just say I schooled everyone on how to get off their fat ass and cell phones and help customers because we sign your checks. With that I received a discount and much better service. Along with the whole time before the dramatics of their poor performance, I had to sit inline listening to the employees and managers talk about their hangovers & highs. Not smart, nor does the whole store need to know who's pregnant or stoned. I'm sure MTV & VH1 will give them a show and all of America can learn about it then. Came here at 9:30pm to grab a pair of gloves for the kids since it just snowed. Got dropped off at the entrance and the asshole rent-a-cop yells, "we're closed"... Door says they close at 10pm. That's more than enough time to literally choose a pair of gloves and pay. Stood by the store hours sign and read the sign, and the asshole and one of the workers see me doing that, and I can tell that they know that I know that this was bullshit. I had the WORST customer service her ever. A blonde woman working the front counter was rude, not helpful or accomodating. You already know going in is going to be a disorganized mess but you may find that needle in the haystack gem. I was just very disappointed. Coming to this Marshalls always feels like a nightmare. If it's not messy, the wait to check out feels long as hell. On a weekday mind you. Don't think about coming on the weekend, you might be in line for an hour. People behind the counter chatting or cleaning. Thankfully Ray was my cashier. This store is a complete mess. Like, a disaster area. I get that it's Marshall's, so you're going to have to look through their clothing to find anything you may like, but this? I've made multiple attempts to have a good shopping experience here, but everything I feel like I should turn on my phone's GPS so friends & family can find me amongst the mess. This is the Marshall's where clothes souls go to die. It was the most depressing, dirty, unorganized Marshall's I have ever been to. Don't even try to look for shoes because if you find a display of some you like the shoes won't be beneath them.
