Did not know this one was here, though we have been nearby recently. Kid K wanted to do a little clothes shopping, so we looked at clothes and shoes. And I wanted some odd snacks, so we headed to the food section. They have a nice assortment of clothes, household goods, and more. Pretty standard Marshall's. You never know what you'll find, but you'll likely find something good, or good enough, and reasonably priced. They do seem to always have Torani syrups, though you can't count on a wide range of flavors. Prices are low to moderate. Service was very good- not super busy, and when the line started to lengthen the manager jumped in at a register. Plenty of parking. Lots of other interesting things in the mall. read more

I stopped in this morning to return a pet bed my 81-yr-old mother picked out for her cat just the day prior. Tags still on it, had receipt, bag, etc. My mother said her cat didn't even look at it, so she gave it back to me. Thought nothing of it, and handed it to the cashier to begin the return process. She was a very kind Asian lady, for the record, and completely accepting of the returned product. As she was about to execute it, another female sauntered up, chomping and sucking on candy like a child, and snottily intervened with, "Nope--we cannot accept this. See? There is a stain in it. I can't put that back on the shelf like that! Sorry--nope." She was very rude and snotty about it, and lifting the pet bed's inner cushion to further "investigate", as if we were trying to pull one over on her or something. My view on it is this: 1. I explained to her that I didn't even NOTICE any stain on it. My mother obviously didn't, either (remember, too, she is 81-yrs-old). The pet bed was grabbed quickly by my mom, and when she gave it back to me, I just took the bag and went to the store to return; didn't even look at it. 2. Her cat is SUPER picky about new stuff, especially places to nap, so we both know her cat didn't do ANYTHING in the bed, such as pee in it. 3. Who is to say the stain wasn't there that whole time from an old customer or even an employee being a slob and leaving, say, food or drink on it, in it or next to it? I've seen BS like that in Walmart and such. It HAPPENS. The point is, you *work* with the customer. For the record, I am NOT a believer in that fairy tale "customer is always right". It's a myth. But as a HUMAN first, you try to come to a common ground and work with the other person. My mother and I both had NO idea about some stain deep inside the cat bed! I had a gift card given to me by my best friend for Marshall's, didn't know what to buy with it, as I never shop there to begin with, so I offered for my mother to pick something out. It was a quick, on-the-fly reaction and choice for her. She was thinking of something cute for her cat--that's it. No sneaky, sleazy stuff going on, no fraud or game being played--just two people trying to use up the gift card. Instead of accepting the reality and option that the "stain" might've been there all along and that no product is perfect anyway, the Arabic lady decided to be a snot and shoo me away like a gnat. Very unprofessional, and I will have to remind my best friend never to buy me a gift card for a place I don't regularly shop at anyway, and with some rude employees to boot. Bad energy like that has no place in my life. Hopefully MY cats will like the bed, or else I'll hafta just donate it. read more

This particular one had a mediocre collection and I did end up buying a shirt for myself - but Barbie didn't find anything for herself and she usually does in Marshall stores, so it's somewhere in the middle and I give it three stars overall but it's still somewhere I would check back whenever in Columbus because these are the kinds of places I usually get all my clothes, notwithstanding the internet. read more

Nice location in the Olentangy Plaza shopping center. There is plentiful parking in the shopping center lot. It has a double entrance but it has a bit of a hallway space between the two sets of doors, allowing side entrances into the adjoining shops. As one might expect from a Marshalls, it carries home decor, clothing and shoes for men, women, and kids, a small toy and book area, and seasonal - currently they have Christmas/winter holiday clearance and they've also got a set up for Valentine's Day. We ended up with some clearance items on our most recent visit, but as always, it is a bit of a treasure hunt, as we'd also been hoping to score some shoes, but alas, not this time. It's certainly worth a peek. read more

Oh Marshalls, TJ Maxx's ultimate competitor... But not really because they're owned by the same company. TJ Maxx actually purchased all the Marshall's stores back in the day. I always consider Marshalls to be the lesser of the two stores, but it really depends on which locations of each store you go to. Overall, they're rather comparable. This Marshalls is off Bethel Rd., really close to 315. Parking is never an issue, the staff is friendly, and they're doing their best to follow social distancing rules. I tend to always find good workout clothes at Marshalls, and at a really good price too. Other than that, they currently have all the fall clothes and things out already. Sweaters galore (can't even think about buying them in this heat), Halloween decorations, etc. Whether you're making a day out of shopping or just want to pop in to relax and look around, Marshalls will always have your back. read more

If I am judging this store based on how many things I bring home when I go there, I will have to give it four stars. I don't think I have ever left there without finding some kind of great deal. It is fairly small and they don't have tons of merchandise, but if you have patience you can dig up some treasures at great prices. The dressing rooms are still closed due to Covid, so be sure to save your receipt for returns. The staff here is always very friendly and I have never had to wait in line for very long to check out. Plenty of parking, and close to lots of restaurants if you need an after shopping snack. read more

This is a nice Marshalls! They have a good amount of stuff that other Marshalls don't. They are super clean so things are easy to find. I didn't really have many interactions with the staff so I can speak to that. But I will definitely be back! read more

I regularly shop at this location. It's a large store with a lot of great deals, who doesn't love Marshall's? I've deducted stars on my review based on an experience that I had at 8:50 tonight, 10 minutes before closing. I was in the clothing section whenever they came on the speaker at 8:45 and reminded people that they were about to close, to make final selections. So I quickly went to the fitting rooms to try on 2 shirts that I was debating on buying. The lady gave me a door hanger that had a "2" on it because I had 2 items. I tried on the shirts and decided to purchase both. I headed back out to put the shirts in my cart, I stopped to hand the door hanger to the lady. As I approached her from behind, there were 2 younger looking girls standing there, I think they were also employees, and the fitting room lady was being hateful to them. She said "They keep dropping them in the floor! Jesus f**k!" She continued to huff and puff about whatever it was as I walked away and so did the 2 girls. I felt extremely awkward after witnessing this exchange of words. It doesn't matter if those girls were her coworkers, that language and behavior is not appropriate for the work place. And saying it within earshot if customers is a huge no-no! read more

I encountered the absolute rudest sales associate at Marshall's this weekend. Her name was Barb W. and she is a coordinator. I was doing a return that the manager (who was a sweetheart) pass along to her to do. She huffed and puffed the whole time. She was extremely rude and it took her 27 minutes to complete a really simple return because she couldn't match the numbers. She was so incompetent at finding the numbers on the receipt that she had to call the manager on the radio over to help her. (by the way I kept pointing them out to her and at one point had one of my receipts in my hands and she RIPPED it out of my hand). In short, she was rude and didn't do her job well. I hope they fire her. This was a horrid experience. read more

I personally like this Marshalls. It might not have wide selection but their kitchen/makeup selection is nice. I have found a lot great things and the lines are never ridiculously long. I go in get what I need and fast easy check out. Also their bathrooms are always clean. read more

A few weeks ago I bought a piece of reclaimed wood furniture for my kitchen (1/2 cabinetry, 1/2 wine rack) and had a great experience! The sales associates were extremely helpful in the sale and loading it into the car. Everyone was very pleasant and complimentary of the piece. And it was a great price! I prefer this location as it is generally more organized, less busy, lines are not as long, and there is a large selection of Housewares/Garden items I am shopping for. My advice: If you see something you think you might want, BUY IT or it will be gone! Returns and/or exchanges are very easy, and much less painful then the discomfort of knowing someone else owns what you should have bought (and you never know if you will ever see a particular item again at such a reduced price). read more

On entering one is strucked how different the lay out of this is to the other stores. The entrance has a long, cold vestibule connecting smaller shops that reminds one of the 1970s. The store itself is a flat expanse with no noticible nooks or corners, just aisles layed out plainly in ugly white light, kind of like it was just thrown there. The back few square feet is under a lowered ceiling and can feel cramped. One can veiw the entire store at the entrance. Almost the total opposite floor plan wise as its cousin TJ Maxx. As products and pricing go this store is for shopping the clearance racks. Good fines can be found with various mark downs that can be pretty steep. As for every day priced items I find it disappointing. The cloths for men are out-of-style and on the level of Walmart or Meijer in quality. Of course, menswear is allocated a quarter of the clothing space per usual. When I do shop here it is for textiles and bedding. The selection isn't deep though, but the prices on these items are great for the quality. They have some brand name towels--the selection is low though. I find it hard to shop here as the floorplan is too open and it makes one feel exposed. It is a very ugly store with many throwback processes like the roped ordered checkout. But it is a nice place to shop for bedding and housewares. It is kind of like a JC Pennies had collided with a Tuesday Mornings. read more

I wish there were more Marshall's in Columbus, since I have been a fan of Marshall's for some time. This Marshall's was a little disappointing. It was really hard to find an employee to ask questions to! I also bought a pair of Franco Sarto flats, AND I ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT. These were the first pairs of shoes to literally scrape off the skin on my ankle!! To the extent where it was beyond painful to walk in them. -_- It was not cute. read more

I went to buy some clothes, I choose some and went to fitting rooms, I left a t-shirt in the fitting rooms, the Women are responsible for fitting rooms began yelling me because of that t-shirt, I never recommend this store because the customer service is the worst. read more

Please do not lose your receipt if you purchase clothes at Marshall's, I purchased a $100 worth of coat during holidays and I decided to return it in the beginning of January, I couldn't find the receipt and the store already marked down this coat to $59.99, they can not refund my original cost by looking up the same credit I used at their POS( worst than Walmart). Anyway, my takeaways are: 1. Marshall is a closeout store so their markdown percentage is huge after holidays, do not shop there during holidays if you want to be a smart shopper. 2. Keep the receipt, because being a typical closeout store, they want you to understand this is a bye-bye sales, don't think they will treat you like Macy's would do to their customers. 3. Do not bother to talk the store manager, they are helpless. read more

My mom and I always shop at this Marshalls and love it. But their employees are what have made me a customer for life. My mom lost a very sentimental gold ring in the store and they continued looking for it until they found it nearly a week later. My gratitude to all staff, especially Ryan, Ann and Kim. Ok, so as a guy, I have a totally different view of Marshalls. This store definitely caters to women. I'd say a good 60-70% or more of this store is for women and the men's section is not that great. My wife loves it here as the women's section is always teeming with new items and brand name clothing items. The men's side seems to be hit or miss. Every time I come here, I see the same clothing for men. There's not much turn over and not a lot of new items. If you come here once a month, you should be fine for the men's side to see what has changed. I talked to the manager about this and she said that this Marshall's has the highest turnover rate for women's apparell (specifically sports) in the area so they keep getting new stuff to re-stock. She did state that because the men's stuff doesn't sell as well, they don't get as many new stuff for men as a result. so basically, if you're a girl and you like sporting apparel, they have tons of stuff and you'll likely find what you want. My wife comes home with Pearl Izumi, Nike, Adidas, and other brands that have new technology (like dry fit, or thermal integration but not the waffle kind). it's really nice for her. read more

Went to Marshalls on Bethel Rd to return an item that I lost the receipt for. OMG! The Associate was Sooo rude. She took the item out the bag and threw it accross the counter. I hand her my drivers license (in her hand mind you.) and when she is done, she tosses it and my store credit on the counter. Worst customer service EVER! Will not be shopping at that store anymore. read more
