This Marshalls location has been in the Sky View Mall of Flushing for a very long time. The shelves were rather messy and unorganized where there were clothes all over the floor back then. Decided to stop by and see what was good today. Glad I had taken a look because there were lots of great-valued goodies on sale by the clearance section. Additionally by the look of things, it seemed that they recently had a renovation of the inside of the store. The old Marshalls I had known years before no longer looked familiar to me but in a good and positive way. The skincare/makeup section is moved from the back to the side. So much easier to find products now in comparison to years ago where if you see it, you'll see it. And if you don't, well that's too bad and it's on you. More beauty brands from Sephora including K-Beauty are found in store like The Inkey List, Herbivore, Glow Recipe, Kiehl's, Summer Fridays, Laneige, Farmacy, Curlsmith, Clinique, Skinfix, Peter Thomas Roth, Glossier, First Aid Beauty, Drunk Elephant and etc. Glad to see that the Flushing location finally has a separate section just for K-Beauty alone. It's about time, Marshalls! Next, it is also more convenient to find yoga mats, yoga towels, and other sports/wellness related vitamin (gummies) in the Active section which is located right next to the beauty aisles. If you're looking for a sturdy but inexpensive yoga mat alternative, then Gaiam is the brand that got your back! Their yoga mats only retail for $15 and the yoga towels are $10 in total. The service from staff is helpful + patient + friendly + top notch. Love shopping at Marshalls from time to time. Things are pretty affordable + great value + very durable + highly recommended. I usually go to the discount department store Marshalls in Manhasset, but we had dinner in Flushing and visited this Marshalls because my family is always looking for a sale, and apparently the Flushing store is better at big sales than Manhasset. Different stores have different sale items which constantly change. I usually don't find men's clothing here that I like, and today was no exception. But family members found a few things. Tip - Marshalls has a clearance sale 2x a year, and one is now. Always look for the red clearance stickers. For example, they found a set of 2 Brook Brothers hand towels, originally for $18, marked down to $6. Some Yelpers might appreciate the the snack section, some trail mixes, popcorn, chips, granola - some for $1 or less. And we're talking about the big packages. A yellow sticker is even better - that's the rock bottom price. Note that the checkout line was humongous. I think most of you know, if you want better quality, go to their sister store TJMaxx. But you can't beat the prices at Marshalls, especially if you spend the time and effort to search. 3 1/2 stars for Marshalls. Update: My brother just called and said he found at a Marshalls in New Jersey a Viking 2.5 quart stainless steel pot for $14. I urge you to Google the price of Viking pots of this size. read more

Service should much be improved. When I was trying on clothes, I overhead the staff yelling at one of the customer... like an elder lady who had hard time hearing the staff. And the cashier registered me never greeted me, nor the manager who was right behind her. The cashier pretty much gave me the ugly face the whole time while she scanning and pissed off at something. Lines always super long. My previous experience was also bad, that cashier double scanned(charged me) on the same item, which this time around, I overhead another staff on the phone yelling at a customer about a double charge that they had to take it to the customers bank, lol ANd she turned around and complained to that manager about the customer who phoned. Not to be confused with Fire Marshalls, which are probably not going to sell you any cheap clothes. This is the Marshall's located in Flushing at the new mall out in the West End of downtown Flushing. You can sometimes find some good deals here and I've spotted a couple of athletic tops and tanks and things that I almost bought from here, but it doesn't have as good of a selection as some of my favorite Marshall's stores. This store always has the NASTIEST bathrooms I've ever been in. This is an ongoing problem thats never been corrected in years. The stalls never have toilet paper, the soap dispensers never have soap plus only ONE sink works. There are never any papertowels either. Im in this store and in skyview mall several times a week. Today was so bad that I left the 300 plus worth of clothing that I was going to purchase on a shelf as I walked out of the bathroom. The register lines are always soooo long because they only have 2 registers open. Today the lines were snaked around then going halfway to the back of the store. Looking at the lines, one would think it was a few days before Christmas.....but its only September!!!!!! Shopping at any Marshalls really requires you to be detail oriented and have a lot of patience. I have always found something that I needed or wanted at this Marshalls. I came here on a Sunday (what was I thinking) and was looking for very specific items. It was ridiculously crowded and the place was a mess. I really had nothing to do and I had time to kill. I was dodging other shoppers, went through almost every rack patiently and it was really messy. I was lucky enough ( using the term loosely) to find everything I was looking for. I almost threw the towel in when I saw how long the lines were to pay. I had invested so much time shopping it was hard to just leave. I even spent a little more time looking around hoping the line would get shorter but unfortunately it just got longer and longer. I mean the line went halfway around the store. You couldn't even see the registers. I was really contemplating what I wanted to do. So I decided with my head down to go to the end of the line. I stood in line for about 35 minutes and it felt like forever. After I paid for everything I couldn't get out of there fast enough. 3-26-17 Marshalls Flushing, NY. Located on the second floor of the Skyview shopping mall in Flushing. This is a spacious Marshalls with a very large floor area. With such an enormous untapped potential. Most of the shopping space is dedicated to women's clothing and women's Footwear. Also included is baby clothing, Home Goods some fragrances and a small men's apparel department. My wife likes to shop here as there is a large selection of shoes and all different types of women's clothing. As you enter from the mall the men's department is on the left straight ahead women's dresses and clothing and activewear. On right the checkout, against the west wall lots of shoes. In new rear of this Marshalls you can find Home Goods, baby Supply. There always seems to be new items here, but they are not correctly showcased and usually just added in with all the other older stuff that they have. No worries wife and I are experienced shoppers, we know the items that we're looking for and have an idea of what they should sell for. We will know a good deal if we happened to come across one. And that's basically the deal here, a lot of stuff that you are left to yourselves to go through and see if you can find a good deal. As for the checkout line.. You need time and patience to find good stuff. Shoes section isn't too messy. The cooking ware section is a bit messy but you can find nice stuff w good price. Oh! I'm on a roll this week. I've been able to find great items at Marshall's stores on every visit. Today was no exception. I tried this location for the very first time, and while it is a bit difficult to find, it was worth the trip. I entered and went to the perfume display. A store associate was filling it up, and I noticed that she had two fragrances that I like. The first was Versace Versense, and the other was Michael Kors Exotic Bloom. Both were on sale for $15.00 each. I ran to the register, and while the line was long it moved quickly. Yay! I can't wait to go back. read more

I really like shopping at Marshall's. It's a similar kinda store to T.J. Maxx and Home Goods. It's definitely not for everyone. To effectively shop at these stores, and to find the best deals, you need plenty of time, a ton of patience and sometimes, a little luck as well! I've found many great deals on footwear, performance clothing and accessories, men's and women's fragrances, soaps and candles and kitchenware. For example, when I don't feel like spending $50 on a Under Armour Coldgear fleece, I come to Marshall's and 90% of the time, I will find a similar performance fleece from Under Armour or a different brand, at a much cheaper price. I've bought bottles of men's cologne, at a fraction of the price that I would have to pay at Macy's or Lord and Taylor! Although, when buying fragrances, you do have to read the packaging and make sure you're not buying an After Shave..Loll Overall, this Marshall's is pretty good. Lines move somewhat quickly. If you like Marshalls, you'll like this one. It's a lot less messy/disorganized than most Marshalls. Either it has very neat customers or it's less frequented than other Marshalls (I think it's a little bit of both). All new Marshalls has the same format and this one usually have about 2 cashiers average on the floor. They're very good at customer service and can find prices for last item things with no price tag attached. I've been going here a lot to furnish my new apartment with items, but I guess the problem with Marshalls is the random random of odd things. You never know when a good skillet or shower curtain is going to show up, should you have to keep browsing the inventory on a weekly basis. So if you need stuff at a low price immediately, head other to the other two store in this mall. read more

One of the worst Marshalls I've been to. The merchandise doesn't change. It seems like the same thing is there every time I go here. Also, they need to hire more employees, because there are not enough cashiers. I literally waited 30-40 minutes to checkout 2 items. If you ever get Martha S as your cashier, be careful. She was very rude to me and spoke about me in Spanish to her coworker beside her. But I know Spanish, so I knew what she was saying. Just disrespectful. read more

Marshalls is a love and hate type of relationship ... Why you ask ? Because well ... lets start off by saying that the clothes they carry here 50/50. The racks are all scattered out by different name brand and diffferent discounted prices that sometimes you dont even know if that is the right price to start off with because everything is all over the place, That is the bad thing about this Marshalls that it is not always organized. Things are all over the place especially while you are waiting in line things are all over the floor and mis placed all the time. You know all those clothes that you think to yourself " I would never wear that " Well those type of clothes are here. I have seen clothes that i thought to myself " Wow i didnt even know that brand existed " or " Who the hell would buy that and wear it out ?" This goes to the shoe collection also. Like any other Marshalls I have gone, the merchandise is all over the place, the employees dont want to be there and its usually a hit or miss. Sometimes you find something and sometimes its a total waste of time. The first time I went in here, the line was out to the wazoo and I got disinterested. It was probably around the holidays... I just went back recently to buy a dress for a wedding. Im not one to spend money on clothes and since I come in here with the knowledge that I may or may not find something, I dont keep my hopes up. On to the dressing room, I marched on with 7 dresses. I ended up buying 3 out of the 7 but the whole delight was in the dressing room in itself. Great location, free parking and a large store. Sounds great right? Sounds 4 star-worthy, right? well, good luck trying to find sneakers in the shoe department! Yes, other yelpers say this particular Marshalls is actually MORE organized than others.... but if thats the case... then other marshalls stores must be a freakin' dump..... I have been going back and forth between this store and another because I am determined to find acceptable (not flimsily glued together by some child laborer in god-knows-where) sneakers for $25 and under. sneakers can NOT be located underneath the label and price and if youre lucky enough to find a box with the shoe you wanted at your size, chances are, the box is empty. Yep. An empty boxes are just stacked in the middle for no good reason. yes yes yes, i understand that finding cheapo sneaks that arent made of cardboard is a highly difficult thing these days, but I refuse to give into these crazy prices! Apparently, Marshalls has been advertising LA Gear, K-Swiss and Rocket Dog (both well under the 25 dollar limit i imposed) but i have yet to find them! Went at 1 pm on a Wednesday in May. The line at the register looked to be at least 30 people long. In the end, it didn't matter because I couldn't find anything to buy in the heaps of disorganized clothing racks. This was not my first time at the store, and I guess the other times must have been slightly better because I did in fact make purchases the other times. This time pushed me over the edge and I can't imagine wanting to go back. read more

This place is pretty typical. Nothing outstanding, and nothing that kills it. Getting here is easy enough on foot. Driving into the parking lot? Forget it. This center's parking lot is by far the worst. The DMV should also have a common sense exam to go with getting a license because some of these people really shouldn't be behind the wheel. The ultimate variable isn't the inconsistent service, but the FOBs that will destroy this place on a daily basis. I'm not sure why so many of them think they are above common courtesy. They blatantly just leave shit all over the place, often knock stuff down and not even pick it up. Thank you, please, and excuse me do not exist to some of these people. The sense of entitlement these days with these people is disgusting. It is because of the people you will encounter here that drags this score down. The service is what I would expect from a place like this. But the inhabitants make it that much worse. read more

I love stores like this, name brand things marked down. I came in here really wanting to love it. I really did. Well, this is by far one of the worst Marshall's I have been to. Its SOOOO messy. I mean, most people who frequent stores of this variety can say that they are not always super organized and neat. But COME ON? One of the first stops I make in these stores are the purses (I AM a girl, did you expect anything different?). They have a terrible selection of bags. most of them are damaged (I have been here on several occasions and its always the same). The shoes are a mess and almost all of the clothes are falling off the hangers. The space is HUGE, I just wish there was more in the store. The luggage section is almost BARE. Like 5 suitcases in total. Meanwhile in other locations, they have a ton to choose from. I will continue to stop in here whenever I am in the mall in hopes that I will walk in and see stocked shelves and racks. read more

This was my first time in the mall and this Marshall's. My mom and I were looking for some shoes and we were disgusted by the condition of the shoe department. It was just deplorable. Shoes were scattered everywhere and you couldnt find a complete pair when you were able to find something. I couldnt believe I was in Marshall's and the store was empty. I saw a salesperson cleaning up the clothing section of the store that looked neat but there was no attention given to that poor shoe dept. That visit left such a bad taste in me I wrote to their Headquarters so someone can visit that store and make some serious changes immediately. read more

Why should you come to Marshalls? Travel Neck Pillows. They are only $10 bucks here. If you buy the same ones at the airport...they'll run you $25. High Thread count Bed sheets - I've found 800 thread count sheets for $50. You won't find a better deal anywhere...not even on the internet. Discounted knick knacks...there's a section for all sorts of junk paraphernalia. I found a great waterproof bluetooth speaker for sale for only $30. Electronic accessories - they are super cheap here...much cheaper than the kiosks outside. Worst part of this place are the long checkout lines. So long! read more

One of the worst Marshalls in the history of Marshalls. And they only received two stars because I will likely be shopping again (they have a messy, haphazardly strewn collection of stuff but at least it's replenished and refreshed regularly) since they're down the block from me and I'm addicted to all things shopping. But the managers don't care about the long lines that usually snake back into the home good section nor do they honor clearance prices tagged on clearance merchandise. Found a pair of pants in the clearance section amongst all of its twins of various different sizes and they were a great price so why not.... only to, after waiting 30mins (yes, that's right, THIRTY MINUTES as always) on line, be told that the barcodes don't match up. When asked for a manager, he blew us off (don't worry, I've got his name and will contact corporate because, screw it, I work retail too and am aware of basic customer service which he was totally lacking... especially standing behind the registers and chatting to associates as the 35+ people on line stood there with their hands up their backsides waiting until death took us or we were finally called to checkout salvation.) This store needs a total rehaul in management and associates. read more

We went at night time and there were at least 15 people in line but we waited for at least an hour just to frkin' pay!!!! What the hell! Uniqlo opened right across from them and it seems like Marshall's is about to put them out of business. There's good variety and wearable sizes here. My wife and I are in Flushing quite often on the weekend. So we stop here from time to time to pick up opportunistic home goods, maybe some clothing, etc. The store, like all Marshalls stores in New York, is disorganized. The lines are long. But that really hasn't been an issue for its. Its expected. Our last customer service experience is the reason for the one star review. Some weeks ago we picked up a shirt for $13 at another Marshalls - the one on Northern. We bought other things on the same visit totaling around $80. After getting home I realized there's a tear in the arm of the shirt. The tags were still on so we thought no problem. We'll just return it next time we're in Flushing. So this weekend we went to return it. When we brought it up to the counter the cashier scanned the item and then went to talk to the manager. The manager and the cashier were looking for something for a while and rescanning the item. Finally the manager came over and said she can't accept the return because the tag doesn't match the receipt. I stopped and took both the tag and the receipt and looked closely. The number on the receipt and the number on the tag (as well as the price on both) matched exactly. I pointed this out. At this point the manager started to explain to me that the tag had been switched and that the item didn't match the item description in their system. Now my receipt didn't have an item description at all. It just had a department. The tag was still on it. It was one of those cardboard with a plastic piece through it tags. So I asked why this was my mistake and why the return can't be done - obviously if Marshalls mis-tagged something that's a Marshalls problem. Next she accused me of switching the tags. This is where I got upset. There were too many things wrong with this idea. First there's the thinking that I went through all the trouble of switching the tag onto the least expensive item on my receipt from...some other Marshalls item I had from another purchase? Or I went and found a random tag in the store? Or I can print Marshalls tags? Then I went through the trouble of actually tagging the item because maybe I have one of those tagging things and I do this all the time? All for a small percent of my entire purchase? I asked her what makes more sense: that Marshalls made a mistake tagging the item or that I was trying to rip them off for $13. Keep in mind I already waited in the infamous Marshalls line to get to the register. Her response was "people do it all the time just for $2". She ended up giving me a "courtesy" return after making a scene about how I was trying to rip them off for $13. After this whole incident I talked to Fernando, the store manager. First, having a conversation with him is impossible. He doesn't pay attention to you when you speak. But I tried. I repeated myself a few times. The only thing I could get out of him is that in the one year he has been with Marshalls, there has never been a mistakenly tagged item or a problem in the Marshalls inventory system that could cause a mix up like this. He honestly believes that all customers are malicious and that when they bring back defective items, they are swapping tags on the items to try to rip the store off for a few dollars. I understand policies. I understand there are customers who try to rip off stores. But part of customer service is handling a situation that could be the store's mistake tactfully and working with a customer to figure out a fair solution. It was pretty obvious in this case that we were not trying to get $13 back on this shirt. Given how often the staff claims people come in to rip them off for small amounts of money, I would bet that there are systemic issues with the Marshalls inventory system that are burning both the store staff's and customers' time. Rather than investigating these issues, the staff finds it easier to just make up fairy tails about evil bands of $2 bandits who come in, buy things, meticulously swap around store tags and then come back and wait in a line to return them on at a time. Its complete insanity. The management at this store doesn't care about customers. The staff that I encountered has been grossly misplaced into the wrong job and would be better suited to running bag checks for outside food at a movie theater or some other job that requires a high level of mistrust. read more

The line is usually very long during peak hours and expect to wait about +20 mins most of the time. But I can say they have verity of stuff at affordable prices. I get my skincare items and bags of chips there. Their food aisle is not big but organized better than other Marshall's/tjmaxx stores. I'll keep coming back! read more

First of all, female employees walking around with their entire bra showing through their sheer shirt should not ever complain about their job. Start with getting dressed before you leave the house and maybe other people, including your employer, will have respect for you. I don't have high expectations for any discount store (after all, you get what you pay for), and I've been to multiple Marshalls in the NYC area and none of them are well-kept, but this place is just unreal. I was shopping in there well over an hour. Children were running around almost the entire time (one of them almost crashed into to me full speed) and nobody made any announcement or told any parents to get their children under control. Really? Merchandise all over the floor, it looks like a tornado went through. Seriously, it's a fire hazard. No customer service on the floor whatsoever. Any employee you may happen to encounter will ignore your request for help, if you're lucky. After 45 minutes of waiting on line (there were only about 8 people ahead of me) I wanted to get something on layaway. But they wouldn't let me because it was 10 minutes after closing time. Like it was my fault I just spent 45 minutes waiting on line. When I finally got home with my one item, it was broken because the fragile item wasn't properly packaged. Thankfully they didn't counter when I disputed the charges on my credit card. read more

It's a Marshall's, so you can't really go wrong there... I have seen worst or better ones... This one is a convient location with all the other store around it... It's not very organized I give that a 2... Many of the items are not where you mighty find it. But they do pack a lot of stuff clothing wise into this Marshall's. Don't go on the weekends afternoons, there are a lot of kids that play with the toys. The thing that I wished they can do is open up the area by the cash registers, it's very crowed and especially when there is people and carts and kids standing that it's hard to get to last register on the left side.
