I was surprised by how enormous the store is and noticed that it had been reorganized inside. There's quite a large selection of luggage it turns out, but I had already bought what I needed at another store. I spent some time looking at clothing and accessories and that was more of what I remembered about Gabe's. The store has a huge selection and very low prices, but the sizes are all mixed together and you have to check every garment for flaws as they are all new but often imperfect. I found a couple good summer tops for less than $5 each and a better brand jacket for $20. If you have some time and enjoy treasure hunting, this is a fun place to look and you can score some real bargains. Service is limited but checkout was friendly.

On Sunday afternoon, the store was completely deserted. I've never seen Marc's be so empty. There were literally maybe 5 people in the store. It was easy to navigate the store, fast checkout, and super convenient. The layout of this specific Marc's was different than the others I've been to which I found disorienting. I would call this store a work in progress. It was especially bleak compared to other locations. Some aisles were completely bare and had empty shelves. Some aisles were blocked and obstructed with inventory. Seemed like some sort of construction was happening. Nonetheless, I was able to find all my essentials - cat canned food, allergy medications, and some prepared foods. I was impressed with wings and BBQ tips available in the prepared foods area. It was very similar to Dave's in that respect and very tasty. Separate shoutout to closeouts area with a lot of Target finds - dresses, skirts, and rompers (regular and plus sizes). Stop by if you're looking for some cute fashion finds. Most items were around $5.99. Customer Service was not the best but not the worst. They don't really double bag heavy items. They ask how many items you have as opposed to counting. Not the best experience. It's not the worst place to pick up a few basics if you're already nearby, but it's definitely not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit. Overall, Marc's delivers mediocrity at a bargain -- exactly what you'd expect, but nothing more.

Over by Portage Crossings (a new high end shopping area) I assumed this Marc's would exceed every single expectation I could have. Wow, I was sadly mistaken. I couldn't have been more wrong on this assumption...and you know what they say about assuming.... The outside of this location is quite beautiful and well put together. They had some very nice seasonal plants outside and they were arranged perfectly. Once inside, it was a whole new ballgame....and Marc's was the loser. The floors were dirty. I mean D-I-R-T-Y! The layout of this store is very very strange. It took me forever to find things....simply because they are not at all where they would be located in every other store I have been to. The produce was poorly stocked (out of many many things) and the dairy section looked like the zombie apocalypse just happened and everyone scrambled to get what they could. AND if that weren't enough, I waited in line for over 30 minutes to checkout. Not because the lines were out the door (although there were only 2 registers open and they were decently busy) but because BOTH of the cashiers working were slower than pouring molasses in the winter. It will be a snowballs chance in purgatory before I come to this location again. No thank you!

So, alas, Yelp world, let me help you discover Vignettes. Located in downtown Hudson, Vignettes is a seriously beautiful store. This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. They had a few examples on the shelves which looked super interesting. I'm only giving Vignettes 4-stars because I have yet to make a purchase. The items are high-end, so when I make my next purchase, you can expect an update! The monogramming may be in my near future!

It's is a good mall. I visited on the last Saturday of March 2026 and during the first weekend in May 2026 for business. PARKING -- There are alot of free parking options outside at the parking lot. SHOPPING -- Plenty of shops to choose from such as J.Crew, Victoria's Secrets, Yankee Candle, Kopper Popper (popcorn store), Apple (foe cell phones, headphones, and laptops), Auntie Anne's (pretzels), etc. FOOD -- There is a food court here that has about 5 different type of restaurants. I noticed Sbarro (pizza), Charley's Philly Steaks (Philly cheesesteak sandwiches), and Asian Chao (Chinese food). I've tried food from Asian Chao which was good - I got rice, some vegetables, and I believe chicken in a to-go plastic container. If you live in the area then visit Summit Mall. The price tags were too high (some were even higher than you could have found them at retail for), the selection was awful, and several items were very worn, out of style, or even damaged. I felt like everything was XL, next common was the size Smalls, then Larges, ending with the elusive Mediums. Everything is organized by size, but the method is extremely confusing. The employee who was there was nice, but for half of my visit, I couldn't figure out if she was an employee or customer. After walking around trying to find size mediums, looking baffled I'm sure, I finally asked her if she worked there. I asked her where mediums were and she pointed in a vague direction. I eventually figured out that each rack was a different size, or at least I think? Other racks were sorted by color. Maybe eye catching but not practical. When I asked if they had any size 6 shoes, she acted like I was a unicorn with two heads and told me they never ever got a size 6 in. (I've never had trouble finding size 6 shoes, ever.) The store isn't super easy to get to, and make sure you bring some change for the parking meters. Avoid the morning and evening commutes because you can easily get stuck in Downtown Akron among all of its construction. I can recommend 5 local thrift stores that have better items, prices, and services than Blue. It's a good idea in theory, just very poorly executed. (Thinks it's because I'm a size medium with size 6 feet? )

You all should know that if you are looking for something different, something well-made, something that really suits you, you should come here. The staff is friendly and has a real eye for fashion. They can figure out what will look good on you in the first 30 seconds and will only bring you things that do. Things you might never even have picked up to look at will become your favorite wardrobe pieces, all thanks to the eagle-like fashion eyes of the women at the Grey Colt. And they remember, too. If your friend, or spouse, or mom comes in and says, "I want to get Mary something for Christmas/birthday/Arbor Day," they will immediately recall the sweater you were drooling over the week before - or be able to pick out things that you will just flat love, simply by remembering your taste. They ain't cheap. At least, not for Ohio. That's why you visit them during the sidewalk sale too. But if you're not feeling flush with cash at the moment, they always have some beautiful, not-so-pricey accessories: scarves, jewelery, cute socks & hair things that you won't see anywhere else.
