The new Marshalls is super clean and organized which is something their previous location lacked. Over the past decade, I have found many good things at this store, including clothes, shoes, bedding, household items, gift ideas and skin care products. Their year-round "clearance" racks are worth combing through, while regularly priced items are also very reasonable. One can often find off-season brand names at a good price. Shopping here is not a bad experience, if you avoid using their toilet, and ignore the sorry state of hygiene in their fitting room. I sometimes visit this location and its affiliate shops nearby (Sierra Trading Post, Homegoods, T. J. Maxx, etc.) to check out their shelves of beauty and hair products. It's a hit or miss type of browsing. Sometimes one can find reputable and organic brands at a hugely discount price, including products from New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. I usually scan the barcode on the packaging on my Yuca app to check if the product is safe.There isn't much service on the floor, but the fitting room attendant and the cashiers are all very friendly. read more

This bathroom is a BIO HAZARD. Completely disgusting, feces everywhere, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a week. We were absolutely shocked and obviously did not use it. This store is DIRTY, dressing rooms filled with dust in corners, garbage everywhere, STAY AWAY. read more

For what it's worth, I generally like Marshalls but this location is literally the land that time forgot. It was a dingy third-world bazaar when I lived here 35 years ago and the passing decades have only hardened the crust and deepened the twilight. The past-season designer inventory is pure Marshalls as are the mismatched bar stools and the elephant tusk wine racks. Bargains can be had but there are far better examples and execution of their concept nearby. A serious update is in order. read more

I have a reputation with my friends as a "bag lady." I can spot a fake a mile away. I recently mentioned to my mom that I wanted a new Kate Spade bag. Last week my mom found what appeared to be a beautiful Kate Spade bag in Marshalls and sent me pictures. The price was $59.99 not on clearance. The price seemed to good to be true. The bag was beautiful from pictures and the price was awesome so I told her to pick it up. A few days later, when I was able to get the bag from my mom. I was automatically suspicious. The bag felt cheap. There was no inside label and of the countless searches I did online, I could not find the bag. I even went as far as to go to the Kate Spade store to see if they could give me some clues on how to determine if it was real. I was having a hard time understanding how it was possible that a fake bag could be purchased from Marshalls. So once again, I went back to examine the bag. But this time as I was comparing the Kate Spade logo on the bag, I came off in my hand! The label had been glued to the bag proving in fact that the bag was fake! My mom and I called Marshalls headquarters to explain what happen. The woman insisted they only sell authentic bags. However, this is obviously not a real bag. So please be weary when shopping at TJMaxx, Marshalls and Home Goods. I never second guessed a purchase I made there before, but unfortunately a fake did make its way into the inventory and was sold. read more

Another Marshalls visit for me. I love these places. I have been coming to this one perhaps once a year for 20 years, I only stop in when passing by during open hours, which is... about once a year. Well, they have reorganized it, and I imagine revamped it as well. So much nicer. Better light. Better organization. Just better. Sadly parking is still is nightmare at this one, they can't help it, its a busy strip mall, but I wish the parking were better and easier. The parking lot is one of those with really small spaces, so cars all dent each other with doors if they are not careful. I enjoy my visits more these days than in the past and will make a point of stopping by more often as a result. read more

I agree with the rest of the posts about this line, that I'm standing on right now, and have been on for at least 20min. This place is a shitshow. 3 people are doing their job. Everyone else is dicking around, and couldn't be ruder or more frowny about it. There is inventory strewn EVERYWHERE. Every department has stuff in the aisle or on the floor, and finding your size on a rack is a crapshoot. If it weren't for Marshalls prices, this place would be boarded up. This place is beyond filthy. I had to use the restroom and the stench and mess was beyond! Also I understand the dressing room people need to do their job but almost grabbing garments and me is not okay. The older lady was also complaining about how her co workers don't clean station (over and over again) and got into an argument which was uncomfortable to watch with her coworker. Majority of there employees are wearing the mask below the mouth or not wearing properly . Asked a female worker a question about inventory and she had her mask down. How can she possibly think this is ok and safe to talk like that ?? How is that professional when we are in the middle of a pandemic ?? Very unprofessional !!! I was looking for a hiking shoes a FEW MINUTES AGO and couldn't find one. I saw some displays maybe a month ago so i was thinking they still have it and just transferred it somewhere in the store. I asked the old lady (she works in the dressing room) POLITELY, if they still have it and she just told me "I don't know, you have to look for it. I don't work there (pointing in the shoe aisle) and she kept repeating i have to look for it in a high toned voice. If you don't like your job or you're having a bad day, please don't be nasty to your customers. The next time i go there and same incident will happen, i will really talk to your manager. I have very bad experience with that location. I visit that store on January 8th, trying to exchange tie which I purchased for the X-mas gift. Unfortunately they sold me tie with the stain on it....so I couldn't use as a gift. I did not look for my receipt because I decide to exchange this tie for stainless and use for myself. Store very poorly organized so took me very long time to find replacement.Took me 38 minutes to get to the register since only two was open. Clark very unpleasant with attitude told me that I cannot exchange anything without driving license. Assistant manager..another unhappy person in that store ...was not sure, so he brought G. Manager. She start huge fight with me. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was never treated that bad in any store before. She was very rude...yelling on me in the front of other customers. They have really management problem in that store. She said first that she have to have my driving license to process that exchange. (she said- that is system requirement)....big BS. Then she said that is the store policy.....another BS Well.... she change the "store policy" ....she said.......any photo ID will be fine. The problem was I left my wallet at home, no any type of ID on me. I offered to give her my license ID number and expiration I remember this by heart. She refused, she said she have to see my ID. Once again she change the "store policy" This time any sort of ID will be fine. Again.....she didn't have to have this information to process my exchange. She just tried to show me who's the boss, try to put me in the right spot. I was just ready to leave when other customers seeing nonsense of this situation start supporting me with their opinion and comments. One man came close to us gave the manager ( by the title unfortunately ) his ID and said : why don't you use my ID to process his exchange. The "store policy" was changed again. She exchanged my purchase on somebody's ID...as I said before....big BS They lost another customer, I cannot imagine how you can get good service in this store if the management is so poorly training. Let me start off by saying the woman who works in the dressing rooms is incredibly rude! I went in, I said "hi, how are you" and she heard me but completely ignored me. I told her I had three items, again she ignored me and grabbed the items out of my hands and counted them. Unreal, just awful customer service. The store itself has a pretty decent selection, and so far my experiences with the cashiers in the front has been ok. Nothing amazing but nothing bad. read more

Revised 9-28-2018: Went to the Marshalls in Emerson, NJ just 20 minutes away--- it was like being in another world. The store was clean. The stock was well arranged. The merchandise was so much nicer! And the sales team was incredible. I asked a saleswoman in shoes if she could help me find my size, she told me to wait and that she would 'certainly' do it for me. She did! When it came time to check out, there were several registers open and it took only a few minutes to complete the shopping experience. I can not think of any reason why I would go back to the store in Nanuet- unless there is a major improvement in staffing, housekeeping and amount of time wasted on long lines.It used to be nice, now it is a disaster. the store has gone downhill over the years. Housekeeping is very poor ( stock is a mess, sizes are mixed up-- you have to hunt for your bra size, it could be anywhere on the rack mixed in with other sizes and styles). Staff is not particularly helpful. All of this I can handle- I realize that there is no commitment for an unusually pleasant shopping experience, the store offers cheap prices, and the service is on the same par. However, It takes longer to get out of the store than it takes to shop it. The lines are always long and can take more than 20 minutes at a minimum to pay and get out. If you want to return an item you still have to stand in the same long line--- so you are doubly punished. The store used to look better. I have begun to think twice about shopping there-- the main concern is "do I have enough time to waste standing in that line?" read more

This Marshall's location is good for clothes shopping, and that's about it. I have found many cute clothes there, and the racks aren't terribly disorganized. However, the shoe section does not have great selection and is often overcrowded. The bath, body and skin care section is a rather disorganized as well. They have a large selection of suitcases. The setup of the store is a bit odd with a nearly empty space to the left when you walk in, and suitcases on the left side in the middle as your walking back. Also find it to be dirtier than other Marshall's, i.e. more dust bunnies around. However the clothes and accessories are always clean. read more

Most of employees there are unfriendly. The female manager (she's usually at cashier #1) is so loud, rude and dresses crazily.

Got a nice pair of shoes for a good price but been at better marshalls- nice place neat and pleasant staff.

I called asking if they had a pair of rainboots in my size. They said no, came in anyway and they were right there in my size... Came in on a sunday (bergen county is closed on sundays) so its usually very busy at this location on sundays, they had three people working the register and i waited on line for thirty minutes to buy the rainboots they claim they didnt have. read more
