Came to this mall during the winter holiday season and all the bushes got lights in them. They are very nice. All the stores are lined up outside with bushes all around you. Parking is impossible here because of the limited parking spots by each store. Got to wait for another car to leave and see if any car is fighting for the same spot and then you go berserk! Not much going on here. There is a limited option of stores in this mall that I go to. Wish there were more stores of my type! read more

Once upon a time, there was a place called Nanuet Mall, which survived 54 years (1969 - 2012) and has been changed since 2013 and renamed The Shops at Nanuet. I wish I visited that mall, but thank goodness for old photos and memories. The facility looks very nice with many high-end and upscale stores, which you'll find in other outdoor malls as well. Most of the stores I saw outside have a great variety to choose from, with so much to offer. Although that may be true, some of the upscale stuff may not be eye-appealing to some, but everyone's taste is different. There are a couple of retail stores that ring a bell, such as Gap, At Home Furniture, Loft, Bath & Bath Body Works, and Stop & Shop. While exploring, they also provide entertainment, and also dining as an alternative of a number to pick. It's easy to get around, and a map is provided in different areas of the place, which is not hard to miss. In its condition, I see The Shops thriving in the years to come. I wouldn't consider it the place of returning to any time soon due to how far I am, and also my interests in terms of stores. On the flip slide, the changes that occur are what draw my attention, and will be back to observe for that purpose (along with other Shops and Malls). What do you do when you have a dying mall seven miles from one of the largest malls in the country in West Nyack... you go upscale... way upscale... and create an outdoor space that is one part Stepford, Connecticut and one part Anytown, Epcot USA. On the dinosaur carcass of the old and mouldering Nanuet Mall, Simon Properties has developed an outdoor shopping village that curates some of the most prominent luxury brands into an upscale aerie that provides an interesting counterpoint to their usual portfolio of enclosed retail monstrosities. To a certain extent they've succeeded, as the look is pristine, bordering on antiseptic, and is far more navigable than the unwieldy Palisades Mall down the road which turned the original Nanuet property into a retail sarcophagus. The only problem is, there's no compelling reason to keep coming back. Tax free clothing is available a few miles away in New Jersey and, the Apple Store not withstanding, is anyone that excited by Coach and PF Chang's especially if the relative humidity is well above 90%. Don't get me wrong, the mall is very attractive but seems more attuned to the sedate proclivities of the ladies who lunch set, while the surrounding communities are overpopulated by ladies (and men) who work and have SUV's crammed with kids who will no doubt love being dragged all over an outdoor mall offering little to amuse them. In my mind this is a curiosity that I might visit on occasion but once you've strolled the promenade there's no immediacy for a return. I hope I'm wrong. read more

Great service, always a huge selection of shops to visit/buy from. A lot of value? Eh, some like some restaurants for lunch or just to walk around, enjoying the view. It's basically like a treat yo self day. I miss having Qdoba here when they were open--cheaper than Chipotle but it's okay. I do love that they always have Christmas lighting here and fun stuff to do here. Cons to this--the traffic. read more

PROS: This mall is one of the better malls in the area. This mall has many nice stores ranging from luxury to practical. It also has many good restaurants and it's very clean. Loads of parking make it convenient to drive here CONS: There's always traffic leaving the place and during the winter this outdoor mall is obviously not the most comforting to go to due to the weather OVERALL: If i was in the area i would come check this mall out. it is one of the better malls, but only in the warmer months read more

It's a great place to build on the old Nanuet mall. It's a nice open space outlet mall and I appreciate it that the fact that it was built here. The environment is peaceful and at same time it's useful and the fact that I got a movie theater back at his facility again after it wasn't here anymore was a huge plus. Why does this POS -- they call a mall-excuse me... "Lifestyle center" have SO MANY POSSITVE REVIEWS?!?! It's not even worth the visit (too much rich-snob upscale high-end shit that only the "Jeff Bezos"-billionaire/millionaire types, 1%ers can afford); and also the parking and traffic is a "total nightmare" here! It would have been SOO MUCH BETTER if they kept this place enclosed and an ACTUAL MALL. At least if it were still enclosed, it would have been a better place to shop during winter than what it is now -- especially in this part of the country. At least we still got Palisades down the road. And ALREADY they lost two of their major anchors stores here (one of which was here since the original mall opened up in 1969.) How are they STILL HANGING IN?!! On a possitve note: At least it "probably" would be safer to shop here that at Palisades during this COVID-19 pandemic -- mainly due to the fact that it is MOSTLY OUTDOORS. Still I wish the old Nanuet Mall was still here; but it is what it is... (I hope this place burns to the ground (or is bombed) or at least joins the same fate as the mall that once occupied this property before hand.) Ignore that last bit -- "in the prentices." I was in a bad mood when I first wrote this. Also I'm upgrading this review to two stars; it could have been worse. I still resent the place though and already I'm beginning to see more vacancies lately; I don't know if it's due to the pandemic or what. ALSO -- last year the supermarket that was here (what's it called "Fairway" "Free-fair") has already shuttered, and it's been not even ten years since they opened. I just wonder how long this shopping center will last before it eventually "ironically" joins the same fate as the former mall on the site prior to this. At this one they allow traffic and parking on the roads between the stores so you are constantly dealing with traffic. read more

I found this place by accident. I was visiting the Fairway and found it in this terrific little shopping area. I wish all "malls" were like this. So nicely presented. Great stores. Only ok parking, but you can't have everything I suppose. Driving in this looks more like a strip center with a few "strips", but once you start walking around you realize that its a large place and the stores are quite decent. In addition to the Fairway, there is a Macys, Ann Taylor, Baby Gap, Coach, Express, a bunch of Gaps, Lululemon, Sears, many other stores, a movie theater, various eating places, fast food to mid level upscale, and a 24 hour gym. If I lived in this area I would probably be here all the time. Great place to visit. read more

Eh. Cross County + Ridge Hill (The Westchester) = not a very good formula aka The Shops at Nanuet. Cosmetically, the "mall" does look good and clean. The bathrooms are even clean which is a rarity in a public place. There's mostly "high end" stores here - but high end doesn't always mean good either. Some of these names are not stores I'd ever shop at. The one reviewer who claimed the Palisades is expensive probably hasn't shopped here. Variety is the biggest problem here. If you have kids with you, they'll be quite bored at this mall. This mall doesn't quite do it and is no match for the superior Palisades. Apple leaving Palisades for this mall is their mistake as I'd never come up here for just them. I mention the other malls in the math problem because that's what this mall looks a combination of, which is not exactly a compliment. All 3 of those malls tries to pass themselves off as "high end", but they're boring and lame mostly with hardly as much variety with one exception or two. If you want clothes, well enjoy yourself here but watch the wallet. I don't much care for Gap personally. Theres some cosmetics here - Sephora is a good name, but Palisades also has one. Lush is blah. Bath & Body Works is fairly common in the mall scene. Like Cross County, there is a Macy's and Sears facing each other - but you can find most of the same things in each and there's a Macy's in the Palisades as well. There's some restaurants here (Zinburger, PF Changs, a pizzeria to name some) and a few vending machines. There's also a 24 hour fitness and a movie theater. A Starbucks (just not my thing no matter where they are) is also here for fans of that place. The Parking lot is not that large and you'll often find yourself looking or waiting for a spot. I guess they didn't put too much thought into design or spaces when they constructed it. You'll likely find spots in the rear as walking for than a few feet to a store is too much for some - but that's all parking lots. All in all a rather blah and boring mall with a variety problem and not worth going out of your way for unless you're a local. Sure there are some "names" in this mall, but "high end" doesn't always mean better or cheaper. Personally, I can do without any of the stores in this mall and they don't impress me. I'd much rather drive 5 minutes further (or sooner depending on where you are) to the still better, varied, and still superior Palisades Mall over this place. A flop and a waste. Sorry Apple, but I won't be patronizing you any longer in store since you left Palisades for this place. read more

Super clean shopping area. Decent choices and I love that they have LUSH. The location is also super close to the palisades so it's a nice quick stop if you're looking for something not in the mall. Came here cause this was the nearest Apple store considering my job. Was completely surprised about the options here and the nice settings. Music blaring through the speakers, all outdoors with nice walkways, and perfect for a long lunch stroll. I look forward to ordering PF Changs takeout and grabbing some Victoria secret while I wait. Quaint and classy are the 2 words that come to mind as I try to describe the new shops at Nanuet formerly Boscovs and the Nanuet Mall. They really did create a terrific assortment of high end retail shopping which is nice after I go to the gym to get a bite to eat or stop by some stores. I love that the apple store is no longer in the palisades center n that was an a true nightmare, The shops is also home to some excellent restaurant options like a great bakery, Chinese food, a seafood house, a great burger place, a famous pizzeria and now we have BJs opening next month in February 2015 The only cons is The parking can get a little full and it may take a little time to find a spot at peak hours read more

Absolutely love the outdoor mall concept. (Not too sure what it's like during the winter though...) Spending lots of my summers in California, I have visited many outdoor malls. This is like a small scale version of that. Being able to walk along the side walk in 70/80 degree weather is gorgeous. I do understand that it probably won't be as nice between December through March with the snow and freezing cold. There's an Apple Store, Banana Republic, Gap, Lululemon, etc... As for dining, there's a Corner Bakery Cafe (sort of like a Panera), Bonefish Grill, Zinburger, and I noticed PF Changs is opening up soon as well. On the backside of the mall is a Fairway Market, 24 Hour Fitness, and Regal Cinemas. read more

I havent been inside the mall, so the review is from an outside perspective. This is my first time here, i de-routed from my destination to grab some quick lunch. What I really like about the mall is the emphasis on the outdoor setup. A lot of the stores have store front doors from the outside, so you can enjoy an outside stroll while checking out the stores they have. In addition to the outside door access, some of the restaurants have outdoor seating, which is rare for malls in the new york/new jersey region. read more

These people really did a fantastic job with the renovations of this mall! I love the fact it has a Regal cinemas, new stores, and new restaurants! Even a Fairway Market! They are so awesome to go to! It also looks very clean! I also love the photo booth and massage chairs near Macy's! They're lots of fun! It's also very close to the Nanuet NJT train station for close commuting. Overall, I love coming to this mall! read more

I went to this mall today. I never went here when it was an indoor mall. I'm very impressed of how this turned out. Nice little main street, but it's better to come here by bus or train (Nanuet train station is only a 10 min walk) as parking can be an issue. If you want better variety and stuff for kids, go to Palisades Center, about 5 miles east. I will return read more

Finally there's a mall that i enjoy going to. Garden State Plaza and Palisades Mall are just too crowded, expensive, and huge. The new shops at nanuet is a perfect size. It's an outdoor mall with 5 star restaurants like Zin Burger and store like Banana republic which I both love. The whole atmosphere of the mall is so beautiful! Coming from jersey I know there's a small sales tax charge but its worth the experience. I highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing shopping experience to come here. We went into a depressing Macy's which in my my mind was a shadow of some of the Macy's we have been in. I thought this was a really nice outdoor mall. Parking on a Friday evening was a bit of an issue, but there were plenty of stores here to satiate both my husband and me (Banana Republic, Lucky Brand, LUSH, White House Black Market, Lululemon, Teavana....I could go on, or you could just check their store directory). I must also note that the staff members at all of the stores we visited were extremely friendly -- or is that just everyone in the area? I guess you get 40 minutes outside of NYC and everyone gets a whole lot nicer. ;) read more

I am originally from around this area, and remember this place as the Nanuet Mall. I have seen it through it's hey day and through the tough days. It is so nice to see a new center rise from this. I prefer an outdoor environment any day over a traditional mall, even in the winter. I am impressed how they built this center around the existing Macy's and Sears and successfully made it look as if it was developed with the new stores. I loved the layout and the structure of the center. Parking seemed a little challenging for me, but that is something one needs to get used to. read more

The renovation is beyond gorgeous as it feels like you are not located in Rockland anymore, believe it or not. The shops are high class, so doe expect to spend money if you are lookin dor designer brands. Although they've done well with the renovations the amount of stores in the area isn't really much. I think comparing this to Woodbury Commons, I would rather go there because of all the sales and amount of stores to go too. I mainly come here for the cinemas however, because honestly its super comfy than imax at palisades. Likewise its cleaner, and overall a satisfying experience to go to. read more

It's a nice, attractive, upscale-ish shopping center built where Nanuet Mall was. The Sears and Macy's are left over from the mall and seemed to have gotten a few updates on the exterior (and a few more customers). The middle of the shopping center is an L-shaped concourse with a movie theater, Apple store, a few chain restaurants (which I like) and other "better" mall stores. There is also a great Fairway grocery store. Don't come here expecting to be greeted by bubbly, gregarious store personnel; they don't exist. read more

Charming shopping center. They may not have anywhere as near as many stores as the Palisades Mall down the road, but I enjoy nice days outdoors and this place is perfect for that. On a rainy or cold day tough forget about, then I'll head to West Nyack. I usually come here for a little shopping and a bite to eat, and I like the Fairway supermarket. Very cool outdoor mall/street concept. As of this writing only one restaurant was open ....so I tried it...Bonefish Grill. Great drinks, service and food ! I also have shopped at the Fairway supermarket and love the variety of foods. The deli is amazing and the hot food bar was terrific although everything is a bit pricey. Can't wait for the other restaurants to open. This place will be a great boost to Nanuet. read more
