Perhaps I'm spoiled. I've lived the majority of my life in the suburbs, where everything is spread out and you can visit a Marshalls on an afternoon and not be surrounded by a thousand people. Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore. Ok, well, I'm actually from Virginia, but whatever. Same diff. Anyway, this Marshalls is a clusterfuck. There are always tons of people there, and consequently the store is always a mess. The line to check out is absolutely endless, and good luck if you have to return something, because you'll be standing in line all day. I agree with others, however, in that you can find some really awesome stuff here. You just have to be patient and consistent. It's really hit-or-miss here. I was warned that Marshalls was going to be trashy. I found it to be the complete opposite. The store was pretty empty (in comparison to the newly opened Century 21) and because of that everything seemed to be in order. I bought a picture frame that was chipped. Stella D suggested I ask for a discount and Marshalls took a whole dollar off! 14% off discount! Not bad at all. If your merchandise is defective, definitely let the register know. You could end up saving a few dollars depending on what you buy. Before leaving the store, we took a look at the bag section. They were color coded which made it easy for us to find what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the designs and quality were not as nice as the bags at Century 21. Marshalls is definitely worth a stop by. We didn't expect to buy anything and walked out with picture frames, shower curtains, and shoes. Totally random but useful. read more

If you have time to browse, you might find a good deal here. This one seems less junky & meh in item selection than other locations I've been to. However, skinny people may not get the same selection as larger women. There's also some crowding issues though it is reasonably convenient for people driving in and those who need to have subway access to get places. read more

I do really enjoy this Marshalls. I went around noon, so it was starting to get busy but wasn't terrible. At least not when I first walked in. But once I saw the women's shoes section... oh lord. don't go near the shoes. It's a wall of insanity (and I didn't find the prices all that appealing). I did however, pick up a very cute top for the fall, grey leggings, a belt, and a 6 pack of chinese laundry socks for $30. I found more appealing things in here than the TJ Maxx nearby. Also, the employees I encountered were very friendly, so kudos to that. it's not easy to work in a store like that so I'm appreciative of their sweet demeanor. read more

Great place to get brand named items at a really good price. Downside is the line is always so long and the shelves are disorganized. The store should hire someone to organize the store continuously. They have Kitchen stuff, fashion bags, beauty items (such as soap and skincare), women and men clothes, candles, bedding, paintings, shoes, halloween costumes (only for the toddlers), cell phone cases, headphones, etc. The brands they carry include American Eagle, Roxy, Juicy Couture, Ugg Australia, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and brands that T.J Maxx caries (T.J Maxx and Marshalls are owned by the same company). read more

This store has the most extensive Footwear Section of any Marshalls I've ever been to. Gets more than its fair share of shoppers, so lines can get long and inventory gets moved around quite a bit, but like any other Marshalls, it has its own share of unique hard-to-find items at discount prices! read more

For Sanaullah MD this is the Mecca of knock down designer clothing. I lub this place. I purchase the nice USPA brand clothes from here. I've only been to the marshalls in Long Island city and this place is way better than there. The Long Island city location is busy with lines that wrap around everywhere no matter when you go. Here, it is empty during off peak hours which makes it a lot more pleasant shopping experience. So why the few stars? Lots of digging required to find anything so you better like rummaging. Not as much designer stuff as I wish. But you will find some great deals if you dig dig dig. read more

I have spent thousands in this store and today i had a horrible experience. I tried to exchange a shirt that had a hole in it that i did not see. Who doesn't love a good find at Marshall's!? This location is the most convenient for me since it's closest to my house. But definitely not my favorite Marshall's. It gets so busy, crowded, and messy in the store. Sometimes too much to handle while shopping. The lines are also a little absurd. I've waited 15-20 to check out at the register. I would highly suggest to management to open up more cashiers during peak hours. 3-4 cashiers don't seem to be cutting it. read more

Positives: Came here for a last minute buy because I needed a suitcase, but wanted a good one that didn't fall apart after one use. I ended up finding a reliable Samsonite luggage that I've been eyeing for quite a while. Best part....I saved a quite a bit of money in comparison to what I have seen that piece of luggage priced at else where. I have to say I found a lot of random items to buy that I didn't necessarily need in this store, but would be willing to buy. Drawbacks: The store is messy. This messiness could be due to the fact that there are a ton of people rummaging through this store. The line was long!!! Ok, so like any of these places, it's a hit or miss. I've been here 3 times I think, and 2 out of 3 I hit the shopper jackpot! Today was one of those days. It was crowded and uncomfortable since their aisles are tiny and the cashiers' line was long (which only makes you more tempted to buy stuff set around the line). Still, I got 2 pairs of boots (after much looking at other places like century 21 and DSW for ones that fit at a likable price and quality, yes I'm demanding that way ;) ) and some perfume for the price of what I would've gotten one pair at DSW. That's DSW people.. that's already discount! So today I'm a huge fan, other day's it's a-OK. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here but if someone's driving you or you're out in Queens doing God-knows what.. might as well drop by. You never know, you may be surprised. read more

Today I stop by this Marshalls. I tend to go a lot since I live near by. Out of nowhere there was yelling and it grew louder people began ran out of the store as well as the security guard. After seeing him run I ran out as well. There was clothing outside on the ground outside of the store. I have no idea what happened exactly but I'm assuming someone had a gun and pulled it out because there was fear on everyone's face. I didn't stick around to find out. Great place to come early or if you have time to spare. The line here is really painful waiting to pay for your merchandise it just takes so long. Last time I was here it was early so I guess the earlier you get here the better it is. There is always a lot of high end merchandise you find in these Marshall's stores......I am not really crazy about it and is not one of my fav stores but .I still go there BECAUSE: ...It is very affordable ...I find a lot of bargains ...I find all my imported spices ...and condiments ...and all kinds of English marmalades ... coffees from different countries ....great selection of teas... ....bric-a bracs ... the beddings/linens are half the price from Macy's .. I get most of my christmas shopping here.......I 've been shopping here for God knows when....I am aware of what to expect....as long as I can save....everybody wants a good bargain .....so everbody flock there for the same reason I am there......to me Its always worth the wait......Today I bought a Michael Kors Linens, Down comforter and a Mattress pad .....marked down significantly ...I still have half of the refund I got from Macy's.wedding registry.......now who cares about the lines.....NOT ME!!! . read more

this place is SCARY, youd think it was a free ghetto daycare with all the children sitting in the aisles among piles of junk. Dont even think about using a shopping cart here, there is too much crap in the aisles and stuff piled amongst the shelves, you wont have any room in which to maneuver. As everyone can take note of my previous post you have to do a lot to impress me. I'm talking walking on water, turn water to wine otherwise I'm not impressed. I'm a genuine New Yorker born and bred so ice runs though my veins even during a New York City heat wave. So before I give anyone a good review you must impress me. Anyhow this poor excuse of a store should be closed down simply on the premise that it's poorly run. First stores like this and TJ Maxx I loathe like you wouldn't believe simply because they give off this third world country bazaar feel. These stores are never neat or clean and always crowded. Second if you see something for example a shirt they usually have only 1 size either it's too small or to big usually is a size like XXXXXL it makes you wonder who do they think will buy this but I was once told by a professor there's a match for everyone in life so I'm sure someone will buy it. Third they make you wait on an extremely long line to pay. In this long snake of a line they have gizmos and gadgets that further holds up the line because rather than the line moving smoothly people are still shopping on the line. I see this in many stores whoever the genius is that thought of this may you have many sleepless nights with a distant dog barking all night to further your poor night of sleep.Anyhow did I miss something did they send out 90% off coupons did someone steal mine? Then why are these stores crowded for discontinued items. Well don't think of making a return they will subjected you join in the same that you pay for your items.This can't be too bright if you ask me this is another reason the line is incredibly long. Anyhow to make a long story short Marshall's isn't for everyone of you are looking for discontinued items at a low price where at the same time it feels like you are getting a lobotomy then this is your place. This store has plenty of good finds but for clothes I would go to the new Loehmanns a block away. This Marshalls does have a lot to offer in the home/bath/gourmet foods section. I went there on a Monday night around 8pm and the lines were packed like a bowl of shwag weed. Didn't have my size with Polo and nautica crew neck white tees and ended up picking up a pack of xl. The Marshalls in Rego, is by far one of the best that I have ever been too. It is very clean, and organized (Not that you shouldn't already come to expect that from a department store) and has a lot to choose from. There is always someone to assist you, and the managers are working on the floor. Its wide selection of discounted designer brands could easily turn a quick shopping errand into shameless overspending spending. Though a lot of the items in Marshalls are priced pretty low you can expect to drop a couple hundred dollars just from all of the items adding. I went there the other day looking for an inexpensive dress to wear to a social. I found so many nice dresses I bought several just in case I may need them for another upcoming event. Now I just need an excuse to wear all of these clothes that I purchased. Overall I had a very good experience in this Marshalls. read more

I would have given a 0 star if I could because of their poor customer service... Marshalls should revise their return policy, find a solution for the waiting time in line and hire more friendly cashiers/supervisors. I returned a boot, that was of low quality, and that burned my skin when I walked more than 5 mins. When I came to store, I had to wait in the line even if I just wanted to return an item. After waiting around 20 mins, I finally talked to a cashier. She had to find a supervisor since she wasn't able to decide for accepting or not the item that I returned, since the item was slightly used - once. I said it was only natural that the item was used - but I used it only once, or how could I find out about the problem otherwise. When the supervisor came, after another 10 mins waiting, not only he wasn't helpful, but he was even hostile. Considering that I am a customer, that was certainly not what I was looking for. After "questioning me" why I didn't return the item and telling me I "should have returned the item or should have called to say that I was intending to return it" and then changed it to I "should have called to see whether I can return the item". He said he can't accept the boots, because there is a little mud on it - that I had to go back home, clean it and come back. The sole fact that I had to argue 10 mins for making them finally accept the boots (since it is written on the receipts and it's supposedly their store policy) is disgusting for customer satisfaction in itself. But he took it to a whole new level when he said "if he had return an item himself, he would have been ashamed to return the boots like that". I was shocked after this comment, but decided to stay silent since he told to cashier to accept the return at this point - and I decided to return the favor through online reviews, even if I'm doubtful that anybody from Marshalls cares. This Marshalls has a really long line but they have 14 open registers which helps. Still had to wait a bit though. They have some pretty good selections in the kitchen section with some good deals and they also have a big suitcase selection. read more

Oh how I love this place. Never was there a Marshalls so incredible in its selection of women's clothes and shoes. It's about 7 blocks from my apartment, so I often find myself browsing when I don't feel like walking home and I wait for the q38. Browsing is one thing... It's a really tough decision when considering whether my finds are worth braving the long, long checkout line that stretches into infinity, or just putting the stuff back and bailing. As I live near there for over 10 years now, I occasionally go for this or that. Each time however it's the same thing over and over, year after year. That is, bargain prices for certain items but damn long lines every time. I'm talking 20 to 30 minutes long. No exaggerating. I've gotten luggage, sneakers, picture frames etc there and the prices are good if you have patience and look around regularly. Problem is that time is now more valuable. The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints with that. The biggest problem is their long lines. Why can't they simply hire more people at peak hours?? I've even gone during weekdays and the lines are still ridiculous. Anyway, it would get more stars if shorter lines. Oh, and yes, the shelves are usually disorganized I'm sorry to say.
