Owner Dalida Atallah has really brought something special to Rochester with Dado. One trip to her store and you will understand her aesthetic, the girl has impeccable taste. If that's not enough the store is impossibly clean with each of the garments hung perfectly spaced apart while center tables hold accessories. A type A personality who understands the importance of presentation? Whats not to like?! Be warned: Though Dado is just minutes down the street from Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it is expensive. The store carries high end brands like Elizabeth & James and more popular brands like French Connection but don't let that scare you away, Atallah has great sales (Up to 30% off) often so its worth a visit. Perhaps some holiday money could buy you a fabulous New Years Eve dress. It's possible you've gotten a glimpse of what Dado has to offer if you've attended any of the local fashion shows. Most recently a Dado show raised over $100,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Center. A small business helping a local charity makes my 8 minute drive to Pittsford worth while. Such an amazing service. This is one of those businesses I am just fired up about returning to once this chaos has ended. After the 1st dress she stated 'oh this is the one' but she tried on the rest just tomake sure. 3rd dress it was!. After deciding they bring you over to a bigger rounded area for you to admire the dress, ring a bell, and say 'yes to the dress'. Naturally tears all around. After that she looked at plain veils (she's adding to it herself), shoes, and a few other items. Even know she wasn't going to buy one of their more costly veils they were helpful. Overall they ended up being very helpful and on top of that VERY reasonable prices. I'm sure you can spend more but wasn't necessary here. Obviously no picture of the dress here. I was so upset by a return I needed to make at David's Bridal. When I purchased a dress (which was…read morea simple dress, not a wedding dress) I specifically, and repeatedly, asked about the refund policy. I was told I could refund it no issue with the receipt in the proper time frame. I needed to refund it and went back a few weeks later. I was charged a $15 restocking fee. I said I was not told about this fee, even though I asked repeatedly about refunds I was then told the store staff could not explain this each time, and the information was on my receipt. I explained by the I got a receipt it would have been after purchase, so that made no sense. I asked why there were no signs at check out to explain the sucking fee and was told it was store policy. I will not be shopping there in the future, and I hope this warns others, who explicitly requested information on returns and are not given the complete information. It's not the $15, but the fact you had no way of knowing you would have to pay it until you had purchased the item. Please beware if you choose to shop there.

Personally, I tried to visit on a Saturday @ 1pm, Hours 12:30-5pm, however there was a sign posted "will be right back at 2pm" That doesn't mean - will be right back. It should read "will return at". Attempted to return the next day. Sunday hours 12:30-5pm. Upon arriving to LSOH the store was CLOSED. Tried messaging through Instagram account and through their website. Got no response. Once again, when operating a business it's vital your hours are correct, otherwise you'll lose Customers and they'll filter away. At that point unnecessary backpedalling to get them to return. Maybe offer a small percentage off their next purchase for the inconvenience. If you're always going to be closed when hours advertised read open...you might just close permanently. Basic rule of business 101. Awesome shoppe! Worth the trip! Keep trying till they're OPEN!

Given the way their prices are, the discount is minimized, or I end up using it to wash the cost of a extra piece of clothing. Good thing I'm a fan of paying to play! From a teenager to now an adult (or I'd like to consider myself one), the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I've never had a bad shopping experience here. Also, if items are out of stock or a discount is not on me they're more than willing to guide me for alternatives or sources to help me not break the bank. Thanks a lot!
