We bought a large glass cabinet for only $25 and the workers helped load it and even wrapped parts in cardboard for us.

I love a good bargain but lately goodwill has had ridiculous prices. Many items are priced for more than what I can find brand new at retail stores in clearance aisles. I understand that I'm shopping for a good cause, however, I can't justify these prices in this economy. I am happy to donate here, but sadly I am disappointed in the quality of items, the organization, the tight aisles and prices at this location. read more

Always greeted and welcomed at the door. There is a plethora of inventory to choose from. All the clothes are clean and ironed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Goodwill in Henrietta creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to find all sorts of goodies just waiting for you to come in and choose your favorites at a very, very, reasonable price. Clothing selection is pretty decent. They even have scrubs for those of you in need. There is certainly an abundance of glassware, dishes, and plastic-ware. Mostly the outdated 1960-70's kind. Also, its all organized by color! As for their furniture and other household goods, they are sparse and lacking. Only a few lamps and such. They had a large book selection. Mostly for teens and adults. There aren't many children's books though. Lastly, what's with the chips? read more

This Goodwill is quite small and feels incredibly cramped. There is a default pricing system in place (e.g. $4.50 for women's tank tops, $5 for blouses, etc.) which feels like it doesn't account for item quality at all. A pristine condition name brand dress shouldn't go for the same amount as a stained and well-worn one just because they're the same type of clothing. Although it is clean, the isles feel so small that it's uncomfortable to be in nonetheless. I didn't bother to try anything on because I mostly wanted to just be out of there. The selection of non-clothing items is lacking as well. When I went (mid-September), a good chunk of the store was taken up by... Halloween displays? Which didn't make much sense to me. Not donated, pre-used costumes, brand new packaged things like wigs, cheap makeup, and costume props. Really not what I was expecting to find in a thrift store. I'd recommend the Amvets in the same plaza over this Goodwill any day. read more

I was bored on my lunch break and I needed new books so here i find my self going to goodwill! They always have cheap books and I was lucky enough to find some that were the color of the week!so that meant most of my things were 50% off! This store has a lovely and friendly staff that are always roaming around greeting people and striking up random conversations. Its usually clean for the most part. I have noticed the glass area always has broken things out. Along with nick nacks. Lots of broken items with price tags on them. Even through the broken things i always find one or two things from each section of the store. One thing thats always a mess when i go there are the clothes. I just refuse to try to shop in them because everytime i shop in the clothing i cant find my size ever. They never have the sizes in the right spot. The small, medium and large signs mean nothing. The pants are the same way. Took me ten minutes to find a pair of work pants size 3 that I found all the way over in size 16. Other than the clothes i love coming to this store to hunt for random things. read more

Easiest place to donate. Donation center is out back - the building has some nice big signs to find it. Paperwork available if desired. If you're looking to buy, prices are reasonable and most of the time items are well sorted by size or color etc. Obviously they don't have *everything* you might be looking for. Everyone here has always been respectful / helpful, especially when it comes to donating! read more

I've been dropping off LOTS of donations here lately as we clean out my In-Law's house. TONS of chazzeri... Plus whatever Lu's back door doesn't snap up from the Duchess' collection of fashionable hand-me-downs. We'd rather donate here than at a for-profit store like Saver's. I've been here more than a few times since I moved to Rochester last year. I got a coffee table, a bar stool, a napkin holder, some glassware and dishes. I also got a nice fur coat that has become my favorite winter item. Overall I like the houseware and furniture section better than clothing. Just keep in mind that it's a thrift store and it takes time to find "treasure" :) read more

I would've thought that because of the size of this Goodwill, I would be treated to a large display of amazing trinkets and gadgets. Well that is not what I got. The bulk of this Goodwill is taken up by clothing which is something I am not that interested in, but still, Goodwill seemed to have a decent amount of electronics and home goods available. With most of these, I wasn't surprised to see it a complete mess of items just thrown about everywhere which makes it all the more fun to dig through to find a treasure. However, with what I found, I would most likely only come here when I want to go to AMVETS because a drive to Henrietta just for this branch is simply not worth the extra gas mileage. read more

Normally my service is fine at this location however my last encounter just baffles me I finished checking out close to closing time, and walked to my car. I then realized that I had been charged for an item twice. I ran back to the store 2 MINUTES after they closed. The same people that checked me out refused to let me back into the store and told me that I had to come back tomorrow and that they were closed. (Mind you being extremely rude when saying it) They not only charged my wrong but then refused to let me back into their store. I'm extremely disappointed in my service. read more

I've shopped at Goodwill for years, this location was my go-to when I was at RIT. Recently, this location expanded into the area next door and converted the old space into a donation sorting center. For some reason, the LPs here are $2.00 more expensive than other locations in the area, the norm is $0.99. While the "rekkids" are a bit more, I usually find the best hits at this location. Most recently, I got a whole stack of immaculate new wave classics. The clothing, housewares, and furnishings are everything you'd expect from a Goodwill, and your purchase still benefits the same great cause. I took away two stars only because I don't always have the same luck finding the things I love at this location. Then again, I am a very particular Goodwill shopper. read more

I recently visited the Rochester, NY Jefferson Ave Goodwill in July 2020. This was my first time visiting since the pandemic. The manager And staff was not welcoming at all, they did not greet me when I walked in, and followed the majority of customers around the store antagonizing everyone about wearing mask, and pulling it up over their nose. Never have I experienced anything like this from the Goodwill and I donate and shop there regularly. Due to my recent encounter I will not be going to this location again and do not plan on donating there. I am very disappointed read more
