The Men's dept staff were getting pretty tired of me today. Everything I needed, this place did not have. Needed a suit jacket 46 short. None to be found. I always shop at this store,never had any problems... but the other day I was purchasing gift cards, the cashier said I needed to slide the gift cards myself...ok.. I had never done this before, she was not to happy that I was alittle awkward on how to do it.. She had a major attitude, not very helpful. This store is literally MISERABLE (yes, it warrants all caps). Not sure why but the line to checkout here is always insane. Half the makeup and beauty items I looked at turned out to just be an empty box. For all the flashy signs and cameras they have alerting potential thieves that "this area is being monitored by loss personal", they clearing aren't catching too many of these makeup snatchers. Oh yeah, and their prices for prestige makeup items are all over the place. Not reliable in the least. There's way better Marshall's and TJ MAXX around this area and you're better off shopping at one of them. read more

I like this Marshalls because it has a really good selection. They also have a big Homegoods/ pet section too! The problem is the parking lot is a shit show. DO not go here on the weekend. Trust me. It just turns into a very aggravating experience. It's really the people who choose to shop there during the weekends. They bring their mother, their 4 kids, their uncle, their brother. They clog up the isles, they don't move when you ask nicely. their children are crying and yelling. I have been sexually harassed by lurking customers inside the store more than once. I try not to go here during the weekends. I don't know where these customers come from, Also, during the weekends be prepared for a very long line. A line that wraps around. read more

The selection here is pretty good, which I would expect of a Marshalls/Home Goods of this size. I was pleasantly surprised at the extend of men's clothes I found here. They also had an unexpectedly good selection of luggage. But any plusses today were offset at the registers. During prime-time on a Saturday afternoon, in an always-busy plaza, it was pretty lame to have only 6 of 13 registers open. The line backed up the entire length and then started doubling back into the shopping area. So be patient here... you can likely find good deals among the inventory if you spend the time searching, but expect spending a bit of time in line to check out too. read more

I'm not typically someone to state their opinion online as I don't enjoy starting stuff with people and prefer a peaceful way of life, but this has been a couple times now that Marshall in Salem has been less than welcoming. For starters, the other week when I went in, the employees were running with their heads cut-off and there was language shall we say that was less than professional (made me feel very uncomfortable). Today, I was buying a jacket for my birthday dinner and the person gives me back the tags (I wanted to wear it out, so she tipped them off for me). I let her know that I don't plan on returning it, but she insisted I take them incase I have any changes in mind, so I say okay and leave them next to my purse on the other side of the register. Then, she takes them saying that "if you're just going to leave them there I'll take them" (insinuating I was going to leave them there like trash). That's not the case, I just hadn't a chance yet to fit them into my purse where they wouldn't get lost. Then, to help her out because I realized lots of people must leave things there a lot, I gave her this cardboard hanger that was left (by someone else) in-front of her register that she didn't realize was there, thinking she'd thank me for pointing it out. Instead, she insinuates that it was mine and that I was going to leave that there as well, and asks me "anything else you wanna leave?" and I stared point blank at her not knowing what she meant, until she realized it wasn't mine, and I was trying to help her out. Story short, don't set your expectations high, expect stressed out employees and hurtful comments. read more

I am not a fan of this location AT ALL. Don't get me wrong I love Marshalls and I love Homegoods even more, but this store is pretty much crappy. Make it one or the other, don't try to cram 2 good things into one crappy place. I never find anything good here as I am a housewares whore. The clothing selection is usually pretty horrid unless you like to wear sequins and beads. Not me! My bird will eat them! This location is OK. The clientele is a little bit messy and the parking lost is a lawsuit waiting to happen! (MIRA MIRA you ran over my kid cause I need the insurance money!!) They have a big show selection, which is it's redeeming quality. I just got a cute pleather bomber and some leopard danskin style shoes for a decent price. Their homegoods section is not good at all- especially since they call it a slash "homegoods". its small. Its very picked over here, so youll probably find one of what you like- and hope it's in your size! I would recommend other locations to this one, but I won't tell which one cause everyone would go there.. sorry yelpers!! read more

Marshalls has always been a favorite staple in our house, this particular store is beyond fabulous. It's a super store with Home Goods included! I appreciate the fact that everything is kept so clean and tidy! Their departments are well stocked and they really have some wonderful brands to offer. I love their food department, and personal care area. I can't wait to return!!!! read more

Honestly always liked this Marshalls because it has a huge selection of stuff. But today I was so disappointed. I understand it's Saturday. It's crowded. I'm not even complaining about the ridiculous lines. My mom is standing in an aisle looking at stuff and this small Asian lady comes rolling down with this huge rack of clothes and rolls right over my mom's foot. She apologized, fine, cool. But then she said 'I thought she would move.' Excuse me? Instead of asking my mom to move when YOU saw her, you decided to assume she would move out of your way? Is that how employees are trained now? To assume that the customer was in the wrong? And then while my sister and I were asking if my mom was okay, the woman kept saying the same thing and finally she just walked away. Seriously disrespectful and just plain incompetent. If my mom wasn't so chill about it, I would have asked to see a manager but instead I'll write this review. Next time you're here, watch out for rolling racks. read more

A better selection than many other similar stores, you will undoubtedly find fancy kitchen supplies, miscellaneous items for the home, or discount clothing that you are seeking. If you come during the holidays, and want a bargain, then snatch what you can, no mercy! read more
