Good deals and always new products .. but the lines are horrible and sometimes have to wait 15-20 minutes to pay for your stuff.

This review is for Walking Company online. I really wish I had read reviews prior to getting…read moreinvolved with them. I placed the first order which went fine, and I loved the shoes. Second order shoes didn't fit so I returned. Per tracking they received the item back on 4-1. A week ago and no refund. I contacted them and the AI bot said returns take 15 days from when the item is received. Why would that be? Do they just want two weeks of float on the money, or are they really that inefficient? Anyway a major red flag. But the real shocker came on the third order. An item was sent that had absolutely nothing to do with my order and was three sizes too small!! And it was a final sale. Customer service did send a return label once I proved I had the wrong item. Thing is, the invoice in the box was also for the wrong item, which doesn't match the order. So I have little faith they will be able to figure this out. Great shoes, but this business is a mess. In this day and age with so much online ordering this kind of thing is unacceptable. If a Walking Company store was nearby I'd probably frequent a bricks and mortar store, but I won't be ordering online from them again.

An order I placed on October 13 is lost in the mail. I have been pleading with customer service…read morerepresentatives asking for a refund, or even a replacement package and they are refusing both. The only compromise they are willing to make is offering a 10% discount to purchase another item from their company which I never will do again.

This business engages in unethical practices. My daughter made a purchase mid Dec 2024 for a…read morerelative and it needed to be returned. The receipt given to my daughter was only a gift receipt. When we went to return the item, we were told it would have to be a merchandise credit which we protested as original buyer. We were finally able to call the store in Mass where purchase was made and the asst mgr looked up and emailed the receipt to the Nh store. We were never told the receipt was a gift receipt in the bag and that the original receipt was never offered. Our guess is that this was intentionally done so that customers are forced into a merchandise credit. The Salem NH staff flat out refused to credit my account but we were in some way fortunate to talk to an asst mgr in the Lynnfield Mass store where the org purchase was made to obtain the receipt and provide it to NH. Buyer beware. No more a customer there.

I like the clothes at AEO and have been wearing them since I was in middle school in 2004. This…read morestore in particular is a bad representation for the brand. The majority of the employees look miserable and the manager I dealt with was flippant, rude, and unhelpful in every way. I get it, working in retail isn't the best job ever but I did it for YEARS and know attitudes like that and just business like that is going to turn customers away. I had an exchange to make with an online order for a different size in a pair of shorts. because the tags had come off while trying them on they would not let me exchange. While I understand the new return policy about tags, the managers have the authority to look at the product/tag/situation and make a judgment call. The manager at rockingham was just rude and dismissive and clearly just wanted to be difficult. I ended up going to another location with a manager who was extremely nice and understanding and exchanged the shorts no problem. She even explained how the employees don't agree with the new policy and as long as you have the tags there's no issue - which I did. Alls to say, I won't be going here any longer. Not worth the rude atmosphere.

Love the clothes at AEO, but the customer service at this particular store stinks. Most of the…read morepeople working look like they don't want to be there. And the store manager has probably one of the most negative attitudes I have ever encountered, and he is not suited to be a manager at all. I am pretty sure he does not understand what working in retail means, like having to deal with customers and having to do returns. It's part of the job- like seriously, suck it up buttercup. No wonder his employees look so unhappy to be there.
