After a brief hold to confirm she was available, the front desk person stated Lucy was in her office and routed my call accordingly. Upon transfer, I introduced myself and explained the reason for my call. I stated, in exchange for her providing only 4 basic pieces of information, I would be happy to share the complete data set of her area's competition with her. Lucy replied by stating she was in a meeting. I apologized for the interruption and asked if there was someone else I could speak with. Lucy curtly replied, "no". When I asked if I could leave my number for a call back at her convenience, Lucy promptly hung up without another word. Lucy operates a community responsible for the care of our society's most vulnerable adults. This said, I am shocked by her disregard of this simple request and blatant rudeness. As the owner and administrator of Harmony Guest House, Lucy leads by example. Her unprofessional conduct and lack of basic manners has set a very low standard for her employees. Any reasonable person would question the quality of service she provides the seniors in her care who do not always have the ability to assert themselves, communicate their needs and desires clearly, or hold her accountable by writing a review to share their experience.

Corina and Vitalie run a wonderful home. And they hire exceptional caregivers like Sacha to assist them. They all work so hard in a field that requires everything from them, 24/7. My mom's room was always clean. They monitored her condition well and kept me informed. They kept everyone safe through the pre-vaccine stage of Covid (and beyond). The meals were tasty, and they were creative in their efforts to get my anti-social mom to engage and participate in activities. We said goodbye to my mom a few weeks ago, and while I of course have regrets, the one thing I have never regretted is choosing such a wonderful place for her to live out her last years. For being a mental health clinic, the administration at Amenda was seriously negligent in terms of sharing important lab results with myself and my other providers in a timely, responsible manner, and they lacked professionalism with me when I was upset and triggered (again, PTSD) in our few interactions. Additionally, Dr. Mendenhall admitted she had little understanding of Graves' disease, the condition that effects my hormones. It is truly frightening that Amenda claims to be a mental health clinic, yet had no idea how to handle me - a thyroid-disordered patient with PTSD and possible adrenal issues, when I was upset about how the office administration handled my records and lab results. Administration should be the simplest part of my care, but this office bungled it so badly, I joined Yelp for the first time just to warn other patients about them. If you have complex health issues that interface with mental health, and you need coordinated care with several providers, do not go to Amenda Clinic.
