Dr Belko helped me regain full Mobility after I had broken my shoulder in a bad fall and then wound…read moreup with a frozen shoulder after 6 weeks in a sling! Combining acupuncture with chiropractic care and a new physical therapist, I regained full mobility after my first PT group thought an arm extended parallel to the floor was good enough!! Happy to say No way . This was 9 years ago and I still sing her praises.

Short Take - Dr Belko is not your average Chiropractor by any stretch. Combining Chiropractic…read morecare, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), with 20 years of practice, she is a practical and welcome change to the doctor that makes you wait, sees you for a few minutes and tells you to come back next week. Also note: Pay at the the time of service only. Insurance not accepted but they do give you a super-bill to submit to your insurance (or FSA reimbursement). DO NOT BE LATE. Long View - I wasn't given a direct referral to Dr. Belko. I had a problem with my shoulder that a PT could not easily solve and the PT suggested I seek Acupuncture. I'd seen a few billboards in SJ advertising doctors, and live close enough to Chinatown in Philadelphia to explore options. But something drew me to a red brick building with a somewhat small inconspicuous sign on Clements Bridge Road in Runnameade, maybe it was the carved wooden dragon on the side of the building. 12 years later, and I still cannot recommend this doctor enough. She is forthright and compassionate, practical and intuitive. She takes the time to listen to what is happening in your life, all the while noticing the inflections in your voice, the body language, and the nuances that set apart a healer from the the run of the mill doctor or chiropractor. A necessary note - DO NOT BE LATE. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will have to reschedule your appointment. If this sounds unreasonable, consider the fact that you will never wait in her offices for your appt. She will see you at the time that was scheduled - really. I've been late few times, and even given the years that I have been going, I still had to reschedule. But the upside (and it's huge) is that she is never late for you, Dr Belko is a pay-at-the-time-of-service office. This means that you pay your bill directly and then you can submit to the insurance company or your FSA for reimbursement. The office does take debit cards if you have an FSA or MSA that provides you a debit card for your account. If this seems cumbersome, and I know some folks won't go to a doctor that does not take insurance, well, respect that the level of care is worth paying for it upfront.

Dr Yang is an amazing healthcare provider. I went to see her for a chronic headache. I was in pain…read more24/7 and none of the western doctors had any idea what to do. She takes the time to figure out what factors are contributing to your problem and treats the ailment's source. Most pharmaceutical interventions treat only symptoms. Because of this, her treatment may take longer than you want or than you expect, but stick with it! If you do everything she says you will eventually feel better and for me it seems to be a more lasting and true wellness than would be possible without acupuncture. She is also a more comprehensive acupuncturist than many in the area. She doesn't just stick needles where you feel pain, she treats your body like it is one connected entity (because it is!), And treats the whole problem.

Initially, I sought treatment with Dr Yang in 2012 due to severe back and leg pain rendering me…read moreunable to walk and barely able to sleep. I had decompression and fusion on L3-4 and L4-5 in 2010 without significant resolution. I tried chiropractic and PT and spinal injections to no avail. After 14 treatments, I saw a small improvement in my symptoms and continued to get acupuncture weekly for the next 2.5 years with a complete resolution of All my symptoms which included rheumatoid arthritis pain as well. I could walk my dogs, shop in big box stores and NOT be in pain. Through Dr Yang's unique acupuncture treatment (treating the whole body) I was back to me. Dr Yang encouraged me to come in monthly for maintenance treatments. I didn't listen. I stopped acupuncture for 2.5 years, thinking I was cured forever and I did well for about 1.5 years and then the symptoms slowly began to return. Well, all of my symptoms returned-couldn't walk, etc. So I'm back in treatment twice per week and am feeling better. Moral of the story, acupuncture keeps your body in alignment especially when you have problems. Once I return to "no pain status" I will keep up a maintenance schedule with Dr Yang. Dr Yang is the best! Follow her instructions and you will be right as rain in no time. Angie R
