I mean, what if they don't?! (We've all seen that meme of our summer body post coronavirus. Ya know, the one of a circle?! Ugh.) Well. I personally have tried to keep my fitness routine up as a way of de-stressing. Because trust me... global pandemics make me anxious. Crashing economies make me fearful. Homeschooling my kiddos makes me nervous. (And on a lesser note... the fact that pool days and summer are indeed approaching makes me both uneasy and thrilled.) Luckily, so many local businesses are offering virtual classes. Hothouse Yoga has two classes a day on Zoom. Heck yes! This review is strictly on their online services during the pandemic. On day nineteen of my distancing I partook during the lunch hour. I adored the sense of community. Even though I could really only see my instructor, Sarah, just knowing others were doing what I was doing was oddly exhilarating. What a fabulous vinyasa class-- I could feel my stress leave my body. Hothouse Yoga... in a normal, non-distancing time... is in a super convenient location right downtown. A parking ramp lives across the street. (First hour free.) The folks that work here are very passionate and knowledgeable. Pricing is... standard? ($100 a month unlimited classes for non-students, $70 for students.) Thank you, Hothouse Yoga. You got me to feel like everything was semi-normal today. I can't wait to vinyasa with you again soon.

I got plenty of practice teaching during the training. I was prepared and confident to begin teaching a class only a couple of weeks following completion of training. This school really prepares new teachers for leading kickass power yoga classes right away. We got there by practicing teaching every day of training. At first it was intimidating but soon leading classes became a strong muscle of sorts. I graduated in December 2017 and opened my own mobile studio and ma loving my new yoga opportunities. A classmate auditioned for a traditional studio teaching position and the studio owner couldn't believe she had just graduated but instead thought my classmate had been teaching for a couple years! How's that for a testimony for Muddy Feet? The training is fun, personally transforming, and completely effective in creating amazing yoga teachers. Megan connects with each student and brings out our strengths in each training.

Serenity has done more than I ever expected. I'm in better shape than I was eight years ago with no knee pain or hip pain. Before Serenity I had a reoccurring pattern of exercising and getting hurt then being off exercise to recover only to start the cycle again. Marcie understands the human body but more importantly she understands MY human body. She can individualize my workouts based on how I feel each session and she has accurately described my needs to all the staff. I am reassured everyone in the studio is aware of my body's needs. I also do classes at the studio. Mat pilates with Mary has proved to be very effective for core strength. Gentle yoga with John is a very calm wind down from a busy day and a great "date night" activity for couples. I recommend this studio to all of my friends that want to avoid unnecessary injuries, develop strength. In addition to workouts that strengthen and protect each client there is a sense of community and belonging every time I enter the studio.
