He raved about his experience and it showed. It was a great value. My 12 year old daughter was a bit freaked out about going in the water at all, but Captain Mark said he would just dip her toes. He had so much control, he literally just dipped her toes. Great sites, great experience and great staff. If you've never driven a jet ski before than I'd say this is probably worth doing if you're a speed/adrenaline junky. Otherwise, at nearly $250 per person per 45-min ride, I personally don't think it's worth it, but my girlfriend thought otherwise, so.... Bottom line -- the guides were very chill, friendly and thorough and he gave us our space once we got out. If you plan on ripping it up out there than you will most definitely get soaked so wearing a shirt isn't advisable and wearing board-shorts / bathing-suit is advisable. Make sure to wear sunscreen if it's a sunny day as wearing a hat isn't a good idea (will def fly off your head). read more

We were scheduled for jet skiing and parasailing. But the wind was too bad for the parasailing. We appreciate the company keeping us up to date with the conditions a day ahead so we could reschedule our plans... That was very considerate. It was our first time jet skiing and I am not the strongest swimmer, but our instructor whose name I believe is Caleb was WONDERFUL! He made me feel safe and made sure we all had a lot of fun. My family booked a triple-rider JetSki rental for one hour. Having known from past experience that each of us only wanted to JetSki for 10-15 minutes each, we intended to give everyone a turn over the course of the hour. Only when we arrived at the dock did they tell us that it was NOT an option to switch riders during the hour. This was not said anywhere on the website when we booked. So three of us went out on the JetSki and the rest of the family was out of luck and had to sit and wait for us for the full hour. To make matters worse, once we got out onto the water, as expected, we we wanted to stop after about ten minutes and go back. This too was not an option! We were required to stay out in the ocean on the JetSki for the full hour whether we wanted to or not. Again, this was not indicated anywhere on the website! My two sons were bored and miserable as we sat idling on the water for 50 minutes waiting until it was time to return to the dock. On the plus side the JetSki itself was in good condition and the staff members were nice. Overall though, a very unpleasant experience, which we had no way of anticipating. read more

Safe but loads of fun! We loved the parasailing and tubing so much that we reserved the banana boat. It ended up raining so they had to cancel. We were refunded our money promptly. MV Ocean Sports is always the highlight of a trip to the island. We've done tubing, parasailing, and the paddle board excursion over the last few years. The kids love it all, but my favorite is the paddle board excision to Cape Pogue - it's not just paddle boarding - the kids can tube on the way out and once you're there you're on your own private beach where you can swim, paddle board, snorkel and picnic. It's one of those places you just can't visit without a boat, so its special for us. All of the captains are super professional, safe and accommodating.... and usually have some good stories to tell ; ) we look forward to it every year! read more

Time is pushed back 40 minutes. 55 minutes later the boat comes in and my son and his friend goes to the boat my wife is heading to the boat and they leave them on the dock . This was the most disrespectful action I have ever been subject to. My assumption is that they can treat paying customers anyway they want because they were grateful for my money last year when no one was on the island. After rescheduling once because they wanted to go tuna fishing and they were closing for the day, I finally got to the vineyard 2 days later. My appointment was for 1pm. There is s more like on the building they were closed. They were closed due to wind. No one contacted me. I called the number listed and received a call back. In the end they offered me a certificate for a fly board session in 2016. As instructed I texted my home address. And i received a text back "got it- I'll take care of it" well that was last August. Never received certificate nor any texts back. Very bad business men. I will find a different more dependable location to fly board. Very poor customer service read more

Great Crew and Water Sports. The only place on the Island to have jet skis, parasailing, tubing, wake boarding, waterskiing and FLYBOARDING!!. The owner Mark Clarke was super awesome and gave us a great deal on flyboarding and jet skiing. This is the best place to do activities on Island if your getting sick of the beach. Awesome for parasailing! Captain Scott and his matey Geoff were terrific guides and made it a very fun and easy experience. They even got our 66 year old mom to go up! Loved our time with them; they were friendly, experienced and calmed all our fears. It was a gorgeous place to parasail and was our first experience doing it. Would definitely go again! I rented a power boat, with captain, for my sons (14 and 10) to tube and knee board. The boys had a blast doing both. The captain was ex-coast guard and knew his way around the boat and waterways, which is a lot better than you commonly get in that kind of situation. read more

My friends and I decided to do two activities in one day--the wake boarding/ water skiing followed by the sunset cruise. The wake boarding and water skiing was great. The four of us got to try either wake boarding or water skiing and the captain was very helpful with instructing us in each of the activities. The sunset cruise was another story. The captain who turned out to be the owner of the company was not totally with it. After getting off the first boat from our water sport activity, we asked if we had some time before the sunset cruise started. He said that we had time to change or run to the package store but that we should make it quick as to not miss the sunset. We ended up leaving the dock at about 7:45pm. The captain drove out to sea, we sat and watched the sunset for awhile (while the captain was on his cell phone). When the captain finished his telephone conversation he turned the boat back, without notice and pretty quickly causing my sister to spill her pistachios all over. We returned to the dock at about 8:30pm. Though the company advertised the sunset cruise being 1.5hrs, we were not upset that our trip was cut short and still paid the full amount. We gave the captain a small tip to thank him and then proceeded to the register to pay for our services. Just as we were signing our receipts, the owner confronted us to express his discontent with the amount that we had tipped him. Seeing as how we had just spent $440 at his business and paid $240 for a 30 min sunset cruise we found his comment to be very rude and unprofessional. There are other companies on the island that offer water sport activities. I would recommend trying those before dealing with this rude owner. read more

This was our kids favorite part of the trip. They did a 1.5 hour fly boarding lessons. They went out in a boat with 4 other kids. Our kids are ages 12 and 16 and they did great. It took them a bit of practice, but during their 30 minutes segment, they were able to get up and stay up and had a blast. We were able to watch them from a spot at inkwell beach. If I had known we could go with them, I would have paid the extra $25 to view them but I was a little confused at the description on the website. read more

Recently visited the island with 5 of my friends and decided to try a the banana boat. Two young men in their 20's ran our boat. We got out into the open water and they put us onto the raft and started to pull us. After about 15 seconds the boat stopped and we were brought back onto the boat only to be told that the boat had run out of fuel and that we would need to be towed in. When asked why they didn't check the fuel gauge they responded with "it's been broken for awhile now". Im pretty sure any normal person that had a broken fuel gauge on their boat would get it fixed in a timely manner. But we tried to make light of the situation and joke with the crew while we waited for the tow boat. The company came out with one of their other boats and began to two us in only to be stopped by mark the unruly owner in another boat. He started to swear and yell at his young employees and continued to tell them they were f---ing doing everything wrong. He had them stop towing us in and gave them a portable gas container and told them to refill using that and then head back into dock to refuel. He abruptly took off and headed back to his dock to pick up his next parasailing appointment instead of waiting the two minutes to make sure that the boat would start. Well the boat wouldn't start and we now became dangerously close to the rocky shore. One of the young employees jumped out of the boat and tried to set the anchor out away from the shore as we waited for mark to come back to tow us in. As he was in the water the pissed off owner mark came flying back over. As he approached I yelled over to him to warn him his employee was near him under water and he said he could see him but he was actually starting to run him over until I yelled again telling him to stop because he was under his boat. Mark then yelled at his employee that was under water to "get the f--- out of the way" because apparently he had superhuman powers and can hear while under water. Mark continued to yell and belittle his employees now not only In front of the 5 of my friends that were on the boat but also in front of a family of 6 on his boat that had two kids on it that couldn't have been older than 10-12 years old. He finally pulled us into dock after an hour and half of floating in a dead boat on the water. As he untied the boat he told is that we could now rent the jet skis for an additional 75$ as his way of apologizing. When we told him that we would rather have our money back he once again became angry and now yelled at us the customer. We eventually got our money back. There are plenty of other companies on the island to use. Don't waste your money with this company the owner is a jerk and is only out to make a quick buck. This company gets no stars!!! read more

Fly-boarding is on my bucket list and I have been trying to do this forever. A friend told me there was a place on Martha's Vinyard, so decided to give it a try. I reserved a spot on a thursday. On the wednesday before they called and they wanted me to reschedule because they decided to go Tuna Fishing. Not a big deal so I rescheduled for that friday. We get all the way over and they are closed due to choppy weather. Never received a call. I spoke to Mark, who seemed to be apologetic and offered me a gift certificate for 2 fly-board sessions for the 2016 season. He says "Text me your information and I'll send it out" So, I did. His response was. "Got it and will send" After waiting about a month I sent him another text message and this time received no reply. It has now been 2 months, no gift certificate, no response, nothing. Personally, this is not good business. If you weren't going to send it then say your not vs lying or just ignoring the messages. read more
