Not even a hello or acknowledgment that I entered their store. Anyway, enough about the other store... I received what I was looking for from Fleet Feet. They let me jog outside to test out the shoes. They spent like 45 minutes with -measuring my feet and giving me suggestions. I asked for the most inexpensive shoes that would provide great support for my short distance running (currently up to a mile). Davis enthusiastically brought out 6 different pair. He didn't have the "man-I've-really gotta-sell-so-I-can-make-good-commission" face either. It seemed like he genuinely wanted to help me. I ended up buying socks along with my new Hoka running shoes. As I was walking through the store today, this store caught my eye because it was huge and looked like a real store. I walked inside and I notice that this is a new store. It is very large and stocked with a nice selection of shoes for the entire family. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that they are carrying more familiar brands such as Clarks, Merrill and Chaco. Chaco is a great brand that specializes in sport sandals that usually start at $100 in other stores. Here, they were significantly less. I also noticed that this store carried a great selection of western books that were genuine leather and from nationally recognized brands. What?? I am so pleased that they are increasing quality and options for women. Although I don't shop at Shoe Dept, this store is definitely causing me to reconsider doing so. 5/4/15 I stopped in today to get a closer look at their sport sandals for men. While in the store, I noticed that they only put one shoe in the box. I realize that this is a part of their theft prevention strategy but it just screams "We don't trust you" and that is never a good feeling. It also makes it difficult to help yourself when you have to rely on the employees to get every shoe you want to try on. This was totally annoying.. They don't have a ladies room which is insane because any store of this size that carries women's shoes, should have a public rest room. Just remember to handle your business prior to entering. I am really feeling a 2.5 right now, but due to the quality options, I will stick with my 3 star rating.

There are tens of thousands of pairs of shoes here in every conceivable style, color, and size. I was mostly looking at dress shoes and the selection was almost daunting. Becky's breaks all the shoes down by size and then by color, making it easy to find what you're looking for. I asked a woman who worked there and she told me that the shoes come from closed out department stores, bankrupt shoe retailers, and are discontinued models from the factory. For the most part, the shoes look near brand new, with some being fresh out of the box. Some pairs have a bit more wear to them but are still in perfectly fine condition. The prices are very reasonable too, for instance a brand new pair of dress shoes were around $30-$50. I spent at least an hour inside and didn't even make a dent in the their total selection. If you need a new set of shoes, don't discount Becky's Discount.

In an effort to let them know of a problem on the internet that could effect their sales, I said "the internet said you were closed so I wanted to check". Interrupting me mid sentence he said "the internet says we open at 10am". While looking directly at the newly refreshed web page that differed, I attempted to explain further, but INTERRUPTING AGAIN, he said "we open at 10am". This guy needs to be schooled on proper phone etiquette when dealing with customers, much less with other human beings. If their in-store service rivals their phone rudeness, I will be going elsewhere and informing everyone else in every form of social media available to do the same.
