EVERY transition piece they installed and fixed and reinstalled came loose and popped up. Riser step pieces popped right off again and again because they did not use adhesive. They neither consulted nor advised me about not using adhesive. They were responsive and amenable as far as fixing mistakes but their fixes were only temporary. Nothing they fixed stayed fixed. I have extensive photo documentation of this amateurish install.

I was very comfortable leaving them alone to work each day in our home. Rick was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and communicated well on every aspect of the job.....from selecting the product, to the timing of everything, to being very patient with all of my questions/concerns. The first visit to their Los Angeles showroom was very promising - the flooring displays looked really nice and of high quality, and after looking through all their samples and having a very informative discussion with Wendy (sales/design consultant), we came home with several samples. She also put us in touch with James, the regional sales director, because she was leaving on vacation in a few days and she didn't want our project to get delayed, waiting for her return. The samples were very nice, but not exactly what we were looking for - the wood texture and overall look of one of them was what we wanted, but the color of another sample was closer to what we were looking for. After sharing our thoughts with James, he offered to custom fabricate a couple of different samples for our evaluation, at no charge and with no obligations. James has always been prompt in providing answers, keeping us updated on the status of the samples, and providing us quotes for the various options we were considering. The samples arrived to us on schedule and as promised, and they were beautiful, but still not exactly what we wanted. After discussing them with James, he agreed to provide another set of custom samples at no charge, with the modifications we wanted to the samples he had just provided. He expedited their fabrication and tentatively reserved material and fabrication time in the factory, in case we decided to place the order after seeing the new samples, since we had a tight timeline to complete the project. Needless to say, the new samples came again on schedule and they were beautiful and exactly what we had hoped and looked for. We placed the production order and the engineered hardwood flooring was delivered right on schedule and without any problems. Wendy also recommended a couple of installers and we ended up using one of them for the installation of our beautiful floor. The quality of the Carlisle flooring is great and the planks look amazing, but what really made this entire experience special, is the level of support and customer orientation provided by Wendy and James, and I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond.

I had no problem giving him $2500 of the $3300 we agreed to do the job, materials and labor because I had used him once before. He came down, looked at the space and gave me a price. The only stipulation was that he had to get the complete job done in 5 days, starting on a Monday so I could be back working that following Saturday. He agreed. Monday he never showed. Tuesday he never showed. He finally showed Wednesday night, still saying it would be done Friday by doing 2 coats a day. He said like my old location I would need 5-7 coats. He did 1 coat Wednesday, 1 coat Thursday and on Friday he only coated about 60% of the floor and that was the last time he's been in. He told me that I need to give him more money or he's not finishing. I explained that as a business owner, if he quotes a job too low he's gotta still complete the job but learn from it. He called me screaming at me telling me I took advantage of him but he physically came to the building just days prior to give me a quote. A quote that I didn't even talk him down in. I just agreed even though it was quite a bit higher than the exact same job that was 500sqft smaller than he did prior for me. Larger building overall but his job was much smaller.
