I arrived on time, checked in, and was told to have a seat. After waiting 45 minutes, I went back to the desk to ask when I might be seen. The brunette receptionist rudely said, "It's gonna be a while." When I asked, "Longer than the 45 minutes I've already waited?" she coldly replied, "Yup." She never apologized or explained the delay, and I don't understand why they agreed to move my appointment earlier if they were already overbooked. I wasted a lot of time on a busy day. It's unfortunate because Dr. Struck is wonderful, but some of his staff made the experience very disappointing.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AFTER 4 YEARS…read more We are extremely disappointed with the outcome of my daughter's surgery and with our experience with Dr. Mehta. From the very beginning, we made it very clear that improving the tip of her nose was extremely important to us. My daughter specifically told Dr. Mehta before surgery that she wanted the tip to look nice and hoped for a feminine, refined "Barbie nose" appearance. This was a major part of what she wanted from the surgery. After the surgery, when Dr. Mehta spoke with me, the very first thing he told me was, "I didn't do the tip. I didn't want to cut the sides." I was shocked because we had repeatedly discussed the importance of the tip before surgery. At that point, I felt that something we had specifically asked for had not been done. For the past four years, we were repeatedly told that her nose would continue to improve as she healed and that everyone heals differently. During those years, my daughter also had to go through multiple injections and treatments in an attempt to improve the appearance of the tip. Unfortunately, after four years, we have seen essentially no improvement in the tip. Her nose tip remains uneven, and she is now being told that she may need a second surgery to correct it. What is most upsetting to me is that if Dr. Mehta believed from the beginning that he could not or did not want to address the tip in the way we requested, that should have been clearly explained to us before surgery. We could then have made an informed decision about whether to proceed. I understand that every patient heals differently and that no surgeon can guarantee a perfect result. However, after four years, our concern is not simply that the result is different from what we expected. It is that an important part of what my daughter specifically asked to have addressed was apparently not performed, despite our repeated discussions about it beforehand. My daughter has been unhappy and self-conscious about her tip for the past four years, and it is extremely difficult as a parent to watch her go through that after trusting a surgeon with such an important decision. We chose Dr. Mehta believing that he would listen carefully to what my daughter wanted and communicate honestly about what could and could not be achieved. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we had. We sincerely wish we had received clearer communication before the surgery, because we would have made a different decision if we had known the tip would not be addressed.

I had an emergency, life-threatening condition that didn't allow me to choose my surgeon, but I am very glad Dr. O'Holleran was there to take care of me that day in the ER. I was also pregnant at the time, barely pregnant and the operation put me at high risk for losing the baby, so I asked that I not be given general anesthesia. He was able to accommodate my request even though it was major surgery and it took extra time and consideration to make it work. He warned me to call before going out to a follow-up appointment because he often is called to the hospital and might not be there on a scheduled appointment day, but that didn't happen to me. In fact, there was only one appointment where I had a ten-minute wait and he apologized for the delay - if only all my doctors were that on schedule! Mostly, what really impressed me about Dr. O'Holleran was that he did not talk down to me at all, he treated me as someone on his intellectual level. I told him I was amazed that I won't even have a scar because he was able to go in through my belly button - I won't get into too many details but considering the problem I had I couldn't even visualize being able to keep it that small and unobtrusive! He said something about me being a young woman and he didn't want to leave me too much scarring.
