Contracted with them at the end of December for new entry/storm doors. It'll be a couple months, great, fine. (little annoying the "remeasure tech" was HOURS late but whatever) Got a call mid February, doors are here, we'll be there 02/24 to install. Again, great, fine. They show up, on time, said they wanted to re-measure to make sure everything was to spec. Um, ok - why wouldn't it be? They ripped off all of my door trim/casing and sat in their trucks for *90 MINUTES* without a word. Came back: "we have a problem". The brickmold is a quarter inch off - the manufacturer (ProVia) has a software problem and even though we gave them the correct measurements... blah blah, whatever. So, wait two weeks to get the corrected brickmold. Fine, stuff happens. 03/05! Called them 03/06. Guess what? STILL WRONG! No apologies, no anything. Wait two more weeks, no biggie, this is the way stuff works. March 20 it is! NOPE! March 16 and get an email that the manufacturers internet is down. No idea what that has to do with anything... how many times can you fail a customer and just tell them to wait two more weeks? Anyway, now I'm scheduled for April! Of what year I have no idea. Garage door would not close properly. It would go half-way down and return. Called Martin, they were here next day. Matt saw that the 25 year old double door had a 3 inch sag in the center when in upper position, and along with other worn parts, caused it to bind. He secured a metal brace across door. My wood garage doors [4 sections on each of 3 single bay] have a raised texture. I replaced the 3 lower sections several years ago with no trouble. Two of the bottom sections & 1 other section needed replacement in 2020. The same salesman ordered the textured sections which came in with texture markings but WITHOUT much raised texture. He said they were from the same manufacturer. Well the texture didn't show up after painting with the same TrueValue paint color & type. The new doors look awful. I emailed the problem within the 15 day warranty-notification period and the salesman emailed back & said the VP of sales and President were both aware. A month later I sent a letter to the owner with photos. It has now been 2 months and I have received not even a phonecall or email. This lack of communication or standing behind their warranty is unacceptable even to me, a very patient 72 year old man, married to a minister wife and hospital chaplain. read more

The only complaint is the repairman that came out to do the service call had a bit of a raunchy attitude - but he knew his stuff and fixed our garage door in less than an hour. My garage door fell off its track and I called Martin at about 1030am on a Monday and they got me on the schedule for the afternoon. The repairman showed up at 100pm and, although he was gruff in his personality, he did a great job fixing the garage door and putting it back on its track. I would use this company again and the three stars are really for the tech that came out. The office staff is easy to talk to and pricing for the repair was $175. I can't say the tech was mean or nasty but he wasn't extra nice either. But, I'd rather have him who was 100% competent than a nicer easy to talk to person who didn't know squat about garage doors. I would recommend them and would use them again despite the repairman being a little frustrated for whatever reason (everyone is allowed an off day). read more

Fantastic experience with the Martin Door Company! We just had our entire 27 year old garage door replaced with a significantly upgraded one. Salesman and company repeatedly failed to provide window plans that could pass a simple city permit . E.g. egress and or demonstrating the new windows have more SF opening than the previous ones. After I provided clear instructions with what the city wanted they still could not properly draw up an accurate building plan. They actually sent me a building plan that stated " failed"and told me to use that one which wasted my time (twice) going up to City Hall . Our garage door kept stopping 3/4 of the way up sporadically. We didn't get it fixed and eventually backed into it breaking the bottom panel of the door. Martin Door was the only place we could find that gave us the option to replace the broken panel instead of the whole garage door. Martin came out to look at my door spent 5 minutes didn't even touch it and said I needed new motherboard. They didn't carry it on the truck so he couldn't fix it if he wanted to. Needless to say I got milked for a $90 service fee for them just to give me their opinion and tell me they couldn't fix it. I won't be using them again for sure. read more

The service at this business has changed drastically over the past couple of years. I have used the business for about 25 years and never had an issue. I ordered a new patio door within the past year and a half during covid lockdown. The first issues occurred when the salesman didn't respond to email questions on a consistent and timely basis. Then the door took forever to arrive. Once it DID arrive, it wasn't what I ordered, but, another door that was quoted at a much lower price. They offered to re-order the door OR provide a few hundred dollar "credit". Since the quote they offered on this door originally (the one I didn't choose), was $1,000 less - I advised them their offer was unacceptable. I felt since I received the wrong door and the price they originally quoted was $1,000 less, that was what should be honored. They then offered to come over and change the door I have - the alteration would have negated the warranty. I went back and forth via email on these issues (and sometimes the phone, when I could get a hold of someone), many, many times. I was dealing directly with the man in charge, who indicated that they just didn't have the time to investigate. I let him know that my time was valuable too, and as a long time customer who had recommended them in the past, I expected better service. I didn't hear anything from them again until recently, when my bank told me they cashed the balance due check. No credits applied, no further response from the business, nothing. BUYER BEWARE - these doors are expensive and if they can't deliver, they shouldn't get your business. There are many other garage door/door businesses in the area that do a much better job. What a great experience under bad circumstances. Our double garage door had been experiencing closing problems for a few weeks, but continued to operate. Then, on coming home from work, the door opened properly, and closed, but the spring popped upon completion of closing. We placed a service request on their website, late at night. They called first thing the next morning, and Pierce called a couple of hours later indicating he was 10 minutes out. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and promptly began repair. He replaced the broken spring, lubricated & adjusted the door, and tightened the chain. All was accomplished in approx. 1 hour. While here, he also checked the single garage door. Pierce was friendly, courteous, communicative & professional throughout. The price was at least half of what we anticipated. The door hasn't worked so well & quietly for years.
