Came here last minute after spotting this florist right next to Mama Lu's Dumpling House and I'm so glad I did. I paid $35 for a beautiful arrangement plus a vase, and Yen, who was the sweetest ever, even gave me a free rose. She speaks both Chinese and English and was super accommodating with my budget. The arrangement was already made but she added an extra rose just for me. Honestly, she could have easily charged $50 like some of the florists in Ktown but she didn't. I love this little shop and will definitely be coming back. read more

Martin Florists has been serving the San Gabriel area for decades, and I have been going to them for all my needs. I was looking for last minutes flowers for my mother's birthday on the 4th of July and I had no luck finding a florist that was open. However, I found this spot and the lovely lady that was there was so kind and helpful! Gave this florist a try after seeing it around for many years - very budget friendly and easy to order. The auntie was very helpful and even made a makeshift water container out of plastic wrap for the bouquet when I had to delay my pickup by a few hours to keep the flowers fresh. The owner is so sweet and nice. Her taste in her arrangements is just great. First she will ask you how much your willing to spend then you tell her what your looking for and she will do what she does best! I'm not a flower person so I said o white rose and a bit of pink here and there with blue. And what she brought me was stunning. I told her big bouquet and my budget was 70$ and I swear it's just so beautiful in person. We needed flowers for our friend's grandma who was in the hospital. Upon arrival the lady welcomed us and started to ask us questions regarding occasion and who was receiving the flowers. She helped us pick out the flowers and made it extra special. On top of that she gave us each a long stem rose for free. Grandma and family really liked the orchids. I was shopping last minute for flowers on Mother's Day and didn't feel like driving all the way to DTLA's Flower District to: 1. Inch through horrendous LA traffic to get there. 2. Drive around to find parking. 3. Pay for parking. How about NO. I just so happen to be in the area picking up food for our family gathering and Yelped this place. It's a modest shop right next door to busy Mama Lu's on Garvey Ave. I was running late to our annual dinner and wanted to pick up anything they had that was already ready and get out. Unfortunately, there was nothing already made, but the florist and his wife said they could make something quickly and asked how much I was willing to spend. From the outside, you would normally miss this place. Luckily, we came here upon the recommendation of Diamond Bakery. Mr. and Mrs. Jeng truly came through for our wedding. Went in there for question about my plants. People are not professional and knowledgeable there. When I first walked in and started asking question they knew I'm not going to buy anything so they changed from nice face to a crap look. You will get an impression from them like oh you are not spending money in my shop so just get lost something like that. If I happened to get a plant I will not come over here for sure. Been buying flowers here since high school. The owner has not changed and she still remembers me. She always takes the time to make the flowers and arrangements beautiful. The fact that she remembers her customers puts a nice personal touch which is lacking in today's busy internet environment. My friend from out of town was in a bind one time and forgot about his anniversary so he called me for help since he had no idea where to go for flowers in my neighborhood, so I made a call to the owner here and asked her to save my friend. Gave her his name and told her he would be dropping by soon. He called me a few hours later and said she hooked him up good. He got a huge arrangement at the last minute for a great price and saved the day. That's great service. read more

My favorite place to get flowers. The owners are really nice and friendly. If your on a budget you can ask them to make a bouquet with the amount you want to spend. They do an excellent job every time I ask. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and satisfied. For example I called a day before and I need three bouquets before 8 am. The wonderful owner arrived earlier to make sure it was prepared and ready by the time I got there. I give them 5 stars because they deserve is. The only thing is that the store is really small. But I highly recommend it there A+++ read more

I don't buy flowers often. In fact it's very rare, but when you need a florist who knows what he is doing, this is the place to go. It was my 3months anniversary with my gf and I know she needed some new flowers in her vase that recently had her bday flowers. So I decided night as well since I won't do this often. The man has been doing flower arrangements for I think, 20something years? And he is super nice. I asked for a dozen roses and when he gave me the price, I was a little shocked and said it was kind of out of my price range. He totally understood and told me to give him a price range, and he will create something for exactly that if not close to it. And he did. Spot on no tax and it was an amazing bouquet. All within 15 minutes. If You need a great bouquet, ask this man and stay and chat with him. :) read more

I came here just right before thanksgiving as a last minute put together before my boss' dinner party. And this place seriously redefines stuffing things into a space. There is no space for anything really but the family is extremely nice and willing to put anything into a bundle for you. My mothers knowed this flower shop for over 20 years. When she first worked at Omni Bank, they ordered plants from Martin's Florist and now my mother works at a stock brokerage firm in Pasadena, every month they order new plants and this florist swings by to clean their plants and change them out if they look a little dead. My sister recently had a grand opening to her grooming shop ( Bath & Furry Works in West Covina!!!) and so of course I ordered her money tree's. Gene delivered them and they looked really nice, the leaves looked cleaned and polished, They were able to put a big red bow on top and write on it on behalf of me. I'm sure I'll continue to order from them when I need arrangements. read more

Other places sometimes charge the same price but the arrangements too small or not enough. I believe there is no website to showcase what they can make. That immediately didn't add up. Gladiolus stems are usually around $2 each max , but he claimed they were $6 per stem. Even at that price, 10 stems should be $60! ...so how did he land on $38 and then add tax on top of that? The math and pricing were completely inconsistent. It felt like he didn't really know what he was charging or was just making up numbers on the spot. Between the poor quality flowers, messy wrapping, and confusing pricing, the whole experience was frustrating and disappointing. I stopped by a few weeks in advance to order for Mother's Day. I asked for a vase, $100 budget, with red roses and lilies. She suggested to add red carnations and baby breath. I trusted her completely with the vision. I stopped by this morning to pick it up and it's so pretty. It's huge and the flowers are fresh and cold, kept in the fridge. There's pretty ribbons on the vase, which added that extra touch. I also asked for a box to hold the vase while I drive around with it. She also offered the card and I asked her to write a message for me. Overall, always a pleasant experience with Christina. Worth the money every time. Other places sometimes charge the same price but the arrangements too small or not enough. I believe there is no website to showcase what they can make. It's best to text her and show some inspiration photos with a budget. Or go see her in person and I think she can show some photos on the tablet. I'll be so sad when she retires!

The graduation was a few days out so I was pretty rushed to find a lei in time. I called in and spoke to the person (I think the name was Ronnie?) and they kindly informed me that they would have to see if they can make a yellow and green colored lei in time. They gave other colored options just in case the green and yellow was unavailable. After I got off the phone, they let me know the price (about $71) which needed to be paid before they can put the order in. I venmoed the money over and received a photo of the lei the day before graduation. I let her know that I will be in the morning of the graduation to pick it up and everything went smoothly! Communication was great, pick up time was easy and my cousin was thrilled with the lei! The price was a bit high though but the customer service was great!

The way he wrapped the flowers was sloppy, and honestly, most of the flowers in the shop looked stale or half-dead. After he finished, I asked for the price and he said $38 plus tax. That immediately didn't add up. Gladiolus stems are usually around $2 each max , but he claimed they were $6 per stem. Even at that price, 10 stems should be $60! ...so how did he land on $38 and then add tax on top of that? The math and pricing were completely inconsistent. It felt like he didn't really know what he was charging or was just making up numbers on the spot. Between the poor quality flowers, messy wrapping, and confusing pricing, the whole experience was frustrating and disappointing.
