Our raised bed garden. We meanwhile have a total of 10 raised beds. The 2023 harvest was amazing!

I absolutely love this place. If you need any plants or trees, advice, or anything to do with the garden, this is where to go. Their selection is amazing. Considering that I can go anytime and get all the information, and often tips and tricks, to make my planting a success the prices are a great value. Compared to large retailers you definitely get your money's worth here. I have benefited so much from the classes offered to customers. After taking their vegetable classes we started our own garden and it has been a huge success. We are having bumper crops of organic vegetables for two years now, all because of what we learned here and the superior quality of the plants and soil we got from Martin Garden Center.

When we pulled off the main road to a narrow street that seemed to be leading us to the middle of nowhere, we were quite doubtful about going to buy new succulents. See ours had died after 8 months of neglect. Sorry to our spiky friends - I forgot to water them a lot and granted they are succulents but they still need some water. We drove up to Martin Garden Center and were shocked by how immense the place is! There's multiple greenhouse areas and probably a few acres of outdoor area with so much green and beautiful flowers. We spent a good hour just walking around and checking out all the unique plants they had. In the checkout area, they also have tons of gardening tools, decor and awesome smelling soaps and lotions. I couldn't resist and bought myself a rose scented soap bar. The staff were super friendly! We asked their advice for taking care of the new succulents and they gave us great recommendations.

I really should venture outside of the Lowe's and Home Depot garden departments more often and find great places like this. Many thanks to fellow Yelper Michelle P. for raising my awareness of this Greenville gem. I found some of the most beautiful indoor and outdoor plants here, along with pots, decor, and all of the fertilizer help you need from some of the most knowledgeable and fun people. And get this - on Mondays (until March) at 4:00 they host 'Martini Mondays' with free sippin' and learnin', with the martini flavor coordinating with new topic each week. What a way to jazz up the first day of the work week! See you there.

What a hidden treasure. It was so nice to discover this garden utopia. Who knew Martin's nursery had been here for over 50 years and it's the largest greenhouse in the upstate?! Fiddle Leaf Fig! I've been scouring the big box stores only to find that Martin's carried them all along. I found the the perfect size plant, and it was perfectly priced. They had many options and sizes to choose from. Reggie, the owner, was delightful and so knowledgeable with questions. I can't wait to bring my mom and friends back.

Love this spot and apparently my wife does too. Very passionate and knowledgeable employees that taught me more in 10 minutes than I learned in 35 years.

Monday Martini's at Martins, what a concept! Delicious cosmo style drinks and snacks while I shop? Yes please. Well I ended up with 3 plants instead of 1 due to the free drinks, I'm not complaining ;) The employees were so friendly and knowledgable. They offered for me to call anytime for plant advice. TONS of variety and just a gorgeous place to walk around. I spent over an hour here and only hit 1 of the 3 rooms. Can't wait to come back!

They also sell vegetable plants, and other goodies in spring. If you want big juicy heirloom tomatoes or banana peppers this is the place to go! There are also often crafts and other items for sale as well, I got the cutest handmade scarf for fall while I was there. For those in the know, they also sell collector rocks, minerals, and seashells too! I know I am raving, but I love quaint places like this, especially because their prices are so good. PLEASE NOTE As this is a Mom and Pop operation it is best to call, email, or facebook before going if you are driving a long way. They are a little ways out there, but it is hard to miss all the day lilies in bloom when you drive past! They ship their flowers all around the US too, which I like as I can send them as gifts. The video file was too big to upload, so I created a link for convenience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL7O0ZWD4wA HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY!!!!! I stopped an employee from this co from weed eating at a business complex because he was a foot away from my moms car, a new Mercedes, and the weed eater was slinging rocks and debris as they normally do. If he would have continued on his path there was another Mercedes and a Porsche among other nice cars in the parking lot. The employee said if I stop I have to call my supervisor, I told him no problem and gave him my business card. Several hours later Scott Davis, the owner, called me and didn't speak, he YELLED at me telling me if I had enough common sense to tell his employee to stop then I should have enough common sense to move my car. Really Scott? Because all of the reputable professional landscaping services I know either 1) Notify you that they are getting ready to start and give you an opportunity to move your vehicle BEFORE THEY UNLOAD THEIR EQUIPMENT, 2) just use weed killer in areas where damage could occur to property or vehicles or 3) they have a 2nd employee carry a piece of plywood to try to shield vehicles, windows, etc from flying rocks and debris. In the middle of Scott yelling at me I just hung up, it was pointless to try and talk over him. He was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. He was not on the property where and when this happened, his employee did not tell him the truth about what happened and Scott was not open to hearing it. I had 3 witnesses there to confirm what happened. My husband called him after that and Scott treated him the same way. Scott even said to my husband, "If you even feel like you might be a little jumpy, come on over buddy, call me, come by, do what you need to" and called my husband a "liar" and a "dumbass" and when my husband told him that he was trying to handle this in a professional way Scott hung up on him. (We have this conversation recorded for anyone who doesn't believe this and would like to hear it). There are so many people that are from this area that own landscaping services that are nice, respectful, professional and they actually care about whether or not they damage your property. This company is definitely not one of them. When my husband told him they could just let attorneys handle it since he couldn't be professional, Scott told him to go ahead and get an attorney because he has plenty of money.... From his clear disrespect of women and people concerned about their property to his prideful boasting of having "plenty of money"... he clearly doesn't need any more business. For the unprofessional way he handled this situation, from refusing to listen to what happened, to the name calling and trying to bully my husband into "coming on over" and his unwillingness to even listen because he has "plenty of money", I have to give this business one star. The owner Scott requested that "I show him the recording and pictures" so I have posted a link to the video above but I dont see a way to post the pictures on here.
