Had a great experience with Erica last fall. She really listened to my needs and found a few roles…read morethat met my expectations! She also didn't restrict the options to what I specifically asked for, but also included roles she thought I'd succeed at - really expanded my horizons! She even touched base with me a few times during her time off. I ended up at a company I can (for the first time) say I love and I appreciated Erica's partnership and advocacy every step of the way. She has also done a great job following up with me to make sure I'm happy with the role and offering her assistance if there was anything else I needed. Beacon Hill sounds like a great place to work - I heard coworkers cheering in the background once for a coworker who completed a milestone! They also have an annual gratitude week and Erica advocated for a charity where I volunteer, and won them a big donation!!!

Ghosting a candidate after going through multiple rounds of positive interviews is not ok…read more Additionally, the organization ended up scheduling the in person/2nd interview with me directly...no doubt due to how unreachable the recruiters were. The recruiters told me to be ready for a tentative time and date...when that time and date approached, not only did their communication drop, they became difficult to reach. It's been nearly 2 weeks since the final interview and my attempt to follow up last week could have been received in a nicer manner. I think the recruiter removed me from consideration because I'm interviewing at multiple places (and she doesn't want to risk possible loss of commission) so now she has dropped all communication. She went from complete post-interview enthusiasm to having a "who are you" vibe when I followed up 4 days later. Soooo apparently...l'm supposed to be exclusive with a potential role / company who treats me like I barely exist? In THIS job market? Riiiiiight... Please be for real... Very transactional feel. There doesn't seem to be interest at all in actually helping me gain employment (remember when agencies actually DID THAT??? I sure miss that.).

I went into the office the next day and the position I applied for was available and ready. I started work on Monday. While I discussed my pay rate they were more that willing to accommodate me. Everything was set up VIA e-mail and off I went. I worked for the company over a year before they decided to close but the entire time I worked Kathy was in contact with me. I am now seeking employment once again and PSG is the first place I went to. I spoke to Kathy and she was honest with me, there is no opening right now. Thank you for all your professionalism and care over the last year. Anyone that has dealt with agencies before knows that nothing is definite. You can see an add on a post and so does 100 other job seekers. I have dealt with just about every agency in the greater Boston area and the only one that I ever landed a job with is PSG. I personally would go no place else.

It doesn't matter if they change their…read morename from Professional Staffing Group (PSG) to ProPivotal Staffing; the service quality and value are still the same--HORRIBLE--just hiding under a different/new name. I selected a phone screen date for October 14th at 12:15 pm (confirmation email received), to which NO ONE CALLED ME! Nor did I receive any follow-up to my voicemail left that same day. I was under the impression that because Ezra S reached out to me I would be interviewing with him, but I realized the call was scheduled with one of their other recruiters, Rica DC. In my opinion and experience, Rica is a HORRIBLE RECRUITER, as are most, if not all of their current staff of recruiters, as well as their Account Manager, Frank G! They take no initiative to help job seekers with the process, and they have poor follow-up practices (basically they have NONE). The last interaction with a recruiter made me feel like I was being gaslit into believing I was the reason I wasn't getting selected by their clients, not because they lacked effective and timely communication -- and they provided no feedback or real palpable support on how an applicant can improve so they can be successful in being assigned to their client pool. I reached out to ProPivotal (aka PSG) for employment assistance back in March 2024. They didn't follow up with me again until June 2024 when Rica reached out with an Emerson College opportunity. We had a great interview, she told me she would pass my resume on to the client, and I would hear a decision back from her by the end of the week. Needless to say, I had to chase Rica AND ProPivotal (aka PSG) for almost a month to get my answer from them about moving forward, because they never answered my many voicemails or emails left to them during that time. I hadn't received a follow-up from ANYONE since my initial interview in June 2024. The next time anyone contacted me was in August 2024, and it was only to answer a survey about how well Rica's performance was in helping me find employment (THE NERVE!). I take issue with the continuous ghosting tactics performed by the recruiters at ProPivotal (aka PSG). It has gotten insanely unprofessional at this point, and my opinion and experience with ProPivotal (aka PSG) has drastically gone down. I have to say, since switching from PSG Staffing to ProPivotal Staffing, I have felt abandoned, overlooked, underserved, and beyond frustrated with how their staff performs recruitment. I never had such difficulties with PSG and always managed to land short and long-term assignments without issue. I have more than qualifiable skills that plenty of their clients would be more than happy to have on their team, even temporarily. So I am truly disappointed, and at this point, done with ProPivotal (aka PSG) as an employment resource. It has been no resource or help to me since 2018. Until changes are made to their business practices (service, quality, values, etc.) and even their recruiting staff, I will no longer be seeking them for assistance with job placement. Also, I will be filing a formal complaint with The Massachusetts Department of Labor and Employment, Employment, placement, and staffing agencies program. I suggest that anyone who has gone through a similar experience with ProPivotal (aka PSG) or any other staffing agency do the same. There needs to be some audit, reflection, and accountability taken on the ends of all staffing agencies, and if this is how we get them all to be more accountable, then so be it.

Applied online and got a call back from Jen who was very friendly, told me to come take a visit for an interview. The building was very nice, prime location in Financial District. Front desk person asked me to fill out an application and led me to Jen after. Jen was telling me that she has been working at John Leonard for almost 30 years holy moly! She was very professional, knew what she was doing, and sounded like she has a great relationship with their clients (employers). Asked me couple questions about my skills and experience, what I want to do in a long run. After the interview, she explained some of the jobs they have in the system and asked me if any of those spark my interest. Really liked this short term assignment in Cambridge, was places there a week after that interview! Went through many assignments with various employers through John Leonard so far, was a great experience to work with all those employers. John Leonard seems to have a good clientele of employers that would treat you well as long as you do your job! Long story short- no matter what kind of career goals you have, John Leonard will listen to you, learn your story to find a great assignments that fit to your needs and qualification! Shout out to Jen, you are awesome!
