The folks who worked at the counter were very nice, I had authentic three soft white flour tortillas with each beef, chicken & pork. & side of refried beans & rice. + can of pop. All for about $9.00 We sat under some harbor freight style car port awning for shade, on wooden picnic benches. Looking around at Belle Glade circa 1940's. Truly a great hole in a wall find. This is a hole in the wall, mom and pop place. I would've probably missed it if it weren't for Yelps raving reviews about this place. And what a great treasure it was ‍ The lady taking our order was very helpful and answered all our questions about the items on the menu. Tried an alambre taco for the first time= meat mixed in with bell peppers. Super delish! Best of all was that the tacos could be made with flour tortillas or corn tortillas, whatever you prefer. They ask if you want your tacos topped with onions and cilantro or if you'd like them plain (don't be boring, go with the full experience). Dare I say the best chicken tacos I've ever had. It's taco Tuesday! I had $13 tacos for lunch (2 mahi tacos) but Martin's $5 tacos (2 pollo tacos) were even better. Don't be thrown off by the exterior. This place delivers fresh, authentic Mexican food. The woman who took my order spoke English which was a plus. My corn tortilla pollo tacos were $2. They come standard with chicken (chunked and seasoned), cilantro, tomato and lettuce. Each ingredient was fresh. I added avocado (50 cents) and cheese (50 cents) to one taco which I recommend. The corn tortilla was on point in taste and texture and grilled to warmth. Next time I drive through I'll make sure I'm hungry enough to grab another delicious taco at Martin's. read more

REAL GOOD TACOS MADE FRESH! One thing I always seek is that authentic homemade corn tortilla. Yumm. Martin's is on point. I tried these 4 tacos, which were all delicious: Al Pastor (grilled pork), Carnita (slow-roasted shredded pork), Carne Asada (steak), and Pollo (chicken.). The steak was definitely my favorite. 5 stars! Authentic, tasty tacos. Can't beat the price for portion. Approx $2/ taco depending on whether you get flour or corn tortilla. They open at 9 am everyday and close at 10pm. They aren't the typical chain restaurant and do not have chips and salsa. You can add guacamole or queso fresco to your taco for $0.50 if you want. The chicken tacos are better here than Taqueria Guerrero, but I think the tacos al pastor is not as good and fattier than Taqueria Guerrero. (see my other review). My friend enjoyed her steak taco as well. If you go south on Main Street towards US 27, you go West on Canal Street and It's right next to Royal's Furniture on your right. Let me make this clear! I don't like tacos (usually)...I've only had one taco I've liked on my life and this is the second one. My main reason is the shell. Martins has a soft taco shell but I don't know of it was home made and toasted but it didn't leave that pasty flour taste in my mouth that I detest. I ordered the steak plate and loooved it. Everything was seasoned perfectly. We came as a group and they're two tables outside. They had more chairs inside to accommodate our group. The tomatillo sauce was finger licking good. This is a little building on the side of W. Canal St. in Belle Glade. It has a little tent in front with 2 folding tables and chairs. But, oh, my goodness! This is a good taco! $2.00 for a corn taco with steak. It is made to order and all of the ingredients were fresh! Lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro. If you want cheese its $0.50 extra per taco. If you are looking for fresh, clean and delicious, authentic Mexican food, this place is nothing below 5 stars. We visited this place today and hesitantly ordered two veg. burritos plus a horchata. My kids 7 and 9 refused to order anything. After they tried our food, we ended up ordering 4 more burritos and another horchata. The food was very tasty, flavorful and home-made. The verde salsa and lime wedge made the food even more memorable. Truly, a gem in a hole-in-a-wall setting. Worth a stop anytime. read more
