Lunch started with chips and salsa; we ordered the queso fundido (melt cheese) as we enjoyed the chips so much. The queso was delicious and nicely baked on an iron skillet. The caldo de res (beef stew) was a table favorite, served with rice and spices on the side so you may add to your liking. the birria tacos were freshly made and the consume (pork broth) was drizzled over the rice for flavor. The al-pastor burrito was flavorful and filling. We purchased some bags of corn chips (off the rack) as we were told they were made daily, unfortunately they were not as fresh as we hoped. read more

There are several great taco places in Belle Glade. This one is one of my favorites. The salsa and the homemade chips are the best for sure. The steak tacos are very simple with steak, cilantro, and onions but the flavor is amazing. Chimichanga is also delicious. I haven't tried much else because the steak tacos are so delicious I crave them. Also the guacamole is good. I eat here at least twice a week and they are pretty consistent. read more

While in Belle Glade, we decided to have lunch here and it was good, prices are good and the food comes out in a relatively good amount of time. I couldn't decide and ordered several tacos as my lunch for the day. The tacos were good, except for the chorizo, which I really did not enjoy. Their guacamole is extra (like everywhere else) but its good and worth the add-on. The menu is huge and there is clearly something for everyone's taste buds. On a recent business trip to Belle Glade my colleagues and I had dinner at this restaurant, which is found within the confines of a large supermarket. This is a great spot and a great experience, and we were fortunate to start our dinner while there was a 6-7 piece band playing Mexican music. Great food, unique ambience, friendly service and very close to US 27 for the ride back to Broward. One of my favorite places to eat! Authentic Mexican food,good selection of drinks. The house made guacamole can't be beat, it's some of the best I've ever had anywhere. My hands down favorites are the fajitas, the wet burrito and guacamole. The ground beef in the tacos tend to be overcooked, however, if that's how you like it, it's good. When I pass through here, I come here. This place has Authentic Mexican food. It's across the street from the Marathon gas station. The locals tell me that the entire place used to be a Bowling Alley; then it was converted into a restaurant and grocery store; hence it being attached to the Bowling Supermarket. Excellent guacamole...$3.50= a good portion to share with one or two people. Great chips and two types of salsa: mild and spicy. They make the chips fresh on site. The tacos are a little greasy, but not overwhelmingly greasy. Tacos al pastor, chicken tacos and steak tacos are all good. They have platters that you can order, or you can just order a couple of tacos for $6-7 and it comes with lime, salsa, rice, and salad. Great place to go and share with friends. Popular with the local business people and police officers... especially for lunch on a Friday. The pork in green sauce is also pretty tasty. Decided to try this place as it comes across as a restaurant. This place is like a supermarket/restaurant and bakery. The restaurant is connected to the rest of the shopping center in the back of the store. When you first come on there is a smell of of the butcher shop. The girl was nice and cleaned our table right away. Provided us the menu and these meals are numbered. We decided to try the fajitas and my hubby a soup de res. We Had to wait a while. The soup was $10 totally not worth the price. The soup had Lots of bones and the meat was quite fatty on top of very salty. The fajitas were so over cooked and burned you could not tell the meat from The peppers and onions but it was a big portion. I also decided to try the pork tamale but was really watery and had not taste. In total two drinks a tamale a steak fajitas and soup we paid with tip $37.51. The restrooms however were super clean. One of the cleanest I've ever seen compared to big name restaurants. I would not recommend this place. Food had no taste. The husband complained the whole time about how hot it was in the restaurant and we also encountered too many flies. read more
