We've came here a couple times. The place is always clean. The waiters always great you with a smile. The place is not too loud, but it can when they have live music. I believe they have live music on the weekends. I got the sushi, i forgot the name of it but it was delicious. Very crispy. We also had the empanadas de camaron. They were very delicious and cooked perfectly. My favorite part are the sauces on top! We also tried the filete de pescada zarrandeado. It's just a typical fish fillet with their yummu sauce. Went here for Mother's Day. The place was super busy. Even though we didn't have a reservation, the wait time was not long at all. I really like the ambiance here. The restaurant is spacious and classy. As soon as we walked in we could feel the lively vibe and festive atmosphere with good music playing, and they also had a group of singers serenading the customers. Nice touch! After we were seated our server was quick to take our order despite the place being packed. I order the shrimp rancheros, which consisted of a generous portion of shrimp in a tomato, onion and green pepper sauce. It was so yummy! It was also served with rice, beans and a salad. Husband had the enchiladas, rice and beans. It was very good as well. My son ordered the tacos gobernador and his girlfriend had the enchiladas in a green sauce. They both liked their meal and said that it was very good. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised! Being that it was Mother's Day, and one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants, we kind of expected some hiccups. They managed the service and food very well. Came for lunch with family and ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll. Ahi tuna on the outside and imitation crab and cucumber on the inside. The fish in the roll tasted very fresh yet one note is that I recommend that the rice used in the roll to be sushi rice as I found the rice on the mushier end. The sauces on the side were the perfect compliment to the roll and I loved that the roll was deliciously spicy! The interior decor was stunning! What a gorgeous spot, with purple beam lights, lined with green bohemian wicker vibes. The food was also amazing and the server was kind and helped us order for my young son who only wanted hard shell tacos. (It wasn't on the menu but he said they would make it). In Yelp I trust but today it let me down. As of today it's only 3.5 stars so with so many authentic options in town I was hesitant. Being Valentine's Day week I'd figure I'd try a little more upscale location and it didn't disappoint I had the steak ranchero and she had the steak fajitas. At first glance they look like the same dish but what you see isn't what you taste. The ranchero had a savory sauce to it. The meat was smothered in the perfect spot. The fajitas were typical tortillas. Didn't disappoint but nothing to brag about. What helped with the fajitas was the homemade corn tortillas. White corn! We came for a quick lunch so didn't order a drink but a full bar and a good time by the looks of it. I loved the decor of the restaurant. This place is a huge improvement over what used to be here. I had a terrible experience with the previous restaurant, so I was hesitant to try it, but everything was delicious! I'm usually not a buffet person (my grandma is), so I really appreciate that you can still order off the menu if you don't want the buffet. Some places in town only offer the buffet when it's available, which I'm not a fan of. The service is excellent! Drinks are always refilled and tortillas come out right on time. They also have live music on certain days. It can get a bit loud, but it's enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommend! read more

My 1st experience was excellent. I was craving a Mexican brunch and it was perfect! We had the breakfast molcajete, consist of a bed of chilaquiles, with 2 eggs, and steak on top. It would have been perfect with a slice of grilled cheese, a grilled nopal, and cebollitas asadas. My brunch buddy had custom made birria enchiladas, they were delicious. Honestly the worst place i have been at in several years! I got a molcajete that was $55 had 5 shrimp and big O piece of nopal, some pieces of carne some queso fresco the sauce tasted a little sour like it wasn't fresh! The coctel was good to trash and tasted horrible and they didn't want to take it off the ticket. They automatically add their tip so be careful for that! We paid around $180 for mostly beans and rice, probably 1/2 pound of actual sea food in total. WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!!!!! Not to mention we ordered a Caesar salad and it has iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber. The bottom of the plate had lots of water and the chicken was in it! The time it takes to get your food from order placed (Not busy, there was plenty of open and available tables) was unbelievable, took well over 1 hr! The carne asada fries were trash!!! Nothings beats Charros for that! Dont add your own tip automatically guys! Let people do it, if you provide good service and good food they will come. This is a new restaurant, only been here a few months. Before it was Culichi Town, another Mexican restaurant. Never been to Culichi Town but we went for dinner at Martina's last night, there were 12 of us. It was really nice and friendly service, the food came out pretty fast and was pretty damn good. Never had a ribeye chicharron before, so that was new. Most of us only ordered appetizers cause the plates were pretty big. Great clean restaurant and nice music. Nice ambiance! They might have brunch buffet on Sundays..I thought i saw the sign but never been there on a Sunday. I know the reviews online are pretty mixed, some gave horrible reviews but I'm one of those 'dinner believe it until I taste it' type, and I'm glad I went cause we had a great experience. The only downfall is their menu is in Spanish only. But if you Google them, they have online menu in English. read more

We chose this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation and an old menu on Yelp that had multiple Mole options. After arriving, we were disappointed that they had not updated their New menu online, so I attached photos of the "paper" menu we were offered. Wait staff was friendly. Lots of seafood choices, if that is your preference. The enchilada sauces were also very different, my husband liked them, but not what we were expecting. The other weird thing is that we were sat in the bar, and not the main dining room which may have been since they were trying to share the customers between the wait staff. Noisiest restaurant we've ever been to and we were the only white people in the place. The food was minimally OK but when I asked if their chips had wheat in them, they had no clue what wheat was. Since I have celiac that was an issue. We should have walked out at that point but didn't. The moral of the story is: avoid California Central Valley towns unless you absolutely have to have Mexican food and then be aware of the discrimination you may encounter. Every time my friends and I come on taco Tuesdays we come to Martina's. The place is very big and open and always playing good music that isn't too loud and you're able to still have a conversation. Chips and salsa are on point. We are always lucky to have Andrea serve us! She's very attentive while we are there. Always has our water filled and brings out things we need without us asking. This is a beautiful place. Love the ambiance. The menu however is very limited to shrimp, aguafresca, enchiladas, mole and expensive steak. This is on the higher end for Delano. For a Friday night it they were maybe at 25% capacity. The waiter was very helpful and extremely patient with my picky husband. I had the red enchiladas. They were decent. You get 3. They were packed with shredded chicken but the chicken didn't have the sauce. It was only on top of the enchiladas. I got the pineapple agua frescas which was bomb. It came in a huge cup shaped like the container you typically see those drinks in. My husband got the shrimp dish that started with a Z. I can't remember the name. It was grilled shrimp with salad and rice. Perfect for him. It smelled amazing too. I had to steal a shrimp. It said it was giant shrimp and it did not look larger. Place is nice. Food is decent. Stopped by to try out their happy hour on a slow Wednesday evening. We chose to sit at the bar. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, clean and well lit. We had a guacamole appetizer that was really tasty. The bartender was friendly and made suggestions on the happy hour drinks. The mixed drinks need a little more attention as they were very sweet and a little watered down. We had one each and shared a third to get a better idea on the flavors. We'll pass on the mixed drinks next time. We had some decent a la cart shredded beef tacos with a good salsa. Not spicy enough for my liking but passable. Overall the experience was nice and I won't mind coming back to try their buffet and other menu items. read more

When we walked in the restaurant first thing I noticed was a lot of people waiting. Empty drinks and and no one had food. Just thought everyone was waiting for the bill. Didn't think much of it at first. We were sat down and ambiance looked nice. We got chips and a couple of adult beverages. Waitress was nice and attentive. But after that it was all down hill. Saw a guy next to us ask about his order and saw he was getting impatient. He got up and left after a while. We finished our drinks and chips and still no food. We left after an hour of waiting on our order. We paid for the drinks and left. Don't think we will be going to Martina's cantina again. What was really bad it WASNT EVEN BUSY.
