Dropped in today for my first visit due to being in Delano for work and seeing pretty solid reviews. That being said Pros: Very reasonable prices, had a chile verde burrito for $6.75. Decent size portions, I left full but not overstuffed which is nice. Pretty good flavor, could have used some more heat but overall good. Cons: Very slow, took quite some time to get our food out to us. Waitress never checked on us. Took our order, brought our food and never came back. We had to go up to pay and our drinks and stuff were never checked on. I didn't dislike my food by any stretch and I might go back to give it another shot but the service was pretty bad. It was meant to be a quick lunch and with only one other table in use inside we thought it would be but it was far from quick. The waitress seemed oblivious to our existence other than taking our order and dropping the plates off. I do wish the verde was a little hotter, I added some hot sauce to compensate but I won't complain much it was a decent sized burrito and you can't be that price. Far from blown away but not a terrible experience and I'd recommend at least giving it a try, maybe some other items are better? My coworker seemed to really enjoy his chile rellano. read more

We normally order to go. I think the restaurant is too small and crowded. I love their carne asada burrito and my husband likes their lengua burrito- meat is nice and tender. They have different types of drinks and soups. Customer service is good. Nice humble people! read more

I don't come here often, and when I do I remember why I don't eat here. The service is horrible! They are rude and entitled. The food is always cold even after waiting 40 minutes. My colleague and I came here and we both ordered an Asada burrito for takeout. First, for the price it's not that huge as claimed by other reviewers: I would say it's just average medium size. This place is pretty hidden. However, it's one of the best authentic Mexican food places. The taste in the food is great. I ordered two asada tacos which had great flavor, also the tortillas are home made. My sister ordered the Camarones Rancheros, includes rice and beans. I got 4 al pastor tacos with everything. The food is very delicious. However, the inside of the restaurant needs a ton of work. I now understand why people take their food to go. I was low on gas and getting hungry on the road from Fresno to San Diego. I thought I would check Yelp for a good Mexican restaurant to keep me going. This was the only place with 4.5 stars and I understand why. Often, Mexican can all taste the same. But this was different- the beans and rice were excellent (my first test) and the flavors deep and spicy. The shredded beef taco was my favorite on the plate. Also had a chicken enchilada. It is hard to find good menudo nowadays and that's why I come all the way from Bakersfield just to pick up my order of menudo every Sunday when I get a chance, it's that good. The meat was sheer perfection, flavored with a blend of tasty spices. They top their crunchy tacos off with lettuce, tomatoes and fresh crumbly cotija cheese. One bite and I knew I had to have another. Husband had the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. They were delicious as well. Now this is what I call authentic Mexican food!
