They left empty packaging out front in the driveway. We were right at budget, even after adding a few extras. Would use them again.

Plus, midway…read moreinto the total (2400 sq ft) interior painting, Lalo tells me he needs another $1000 for additional paint cost. No receipts were produced for the additional paint. I was told that $16,000 would include the paint and labor and to install baseboards in a small area. During the estimate I was told there was no need to clean the walls or fill in the holes. Lalo and his crew would take care of that - that was a joke. They painted over the dirt and filth on the walls. They only filled in the very large holes. I ended up washing and spackling most of the walls. The walls that were pre-cleaned ended up looking the best after the painting. When they were spraying, the cupboards, banisters and rails were not covered or protected, so the banisters and rails no longer have a smooth finish to them. Some of the cupboards were re-sanded and repainted, but not all of them. Most are all "bumpy". There are many areas with drips down the walls, cupboards, trim, shutters, bannisters, and rails. The paint was not covered when they left each day. 1 and 5 gallon buckets left open overnight for multiple days. No concern for the product care. The ceilings were supposed to be painted. Lalo was only going to put one coat of paint on the ceilings. It was very splotchy and uneven. I told him that a 2nd coat was needed. Finally he did it. When the walls were painted, only one coat of paint was applied. The color was splotchy and uneven. I pointed out that it didn't look good. Another coat was finally applied. Supposably, the paint was a "one coat" application. It needed 2 coats of paint for the color to look even and cover completely. Lalo uses inexperienced and not quality painters. At one point, Lalo had sprayed the ceiling and his crew went to paint the walls. To his dismay and mine, the wall color paint was sloppily applied to the ceiling. He had to go back to repaint those areas of the ceiling. This happened over and over again to the ceilings and trim. Eggshell paint was to be applied in the closets. I asked Lalo 3 times to paint the interior of the closets correctly. They would skip (not paint) areas that weren't easily visible (like on the shelves or the inside by the doors). I realized that they were using the flat paint instead of the eggshell paint. Even now, I found a section that didn't get painted at all. Even one of the bathroom walls looks so splotchy. This also was an area that was supposed to be corrected, but did not happen. At the end, I was told to take painter's tape to mark the areas that needed to be fixed/repainted/touched up. Most of the blue tape was removed without the anything ever being done to fix the issue. I assumed that those areas were being addressed when the tape was removed. There were/are so many areas that I didn't realize until later that they never were fixed. Sometimes I put blue tape in the same spot 3 times, only to have it taken down and ignored. Go with a professional painting company, not Lalo's. I was told that LaLos painting had done an excellent job on another person's cupboards. For that person, Lalo covered and protected areas so that the spray didn't go everywhere and leave splatter marks. I was told that as he sanded their cupboards, that Lalo was vacuuming up the dust. That didn't happen in my house. Dust and paint splatter went everywhere!!! At the end of the day, I was the one who was trying to clean up after this messy crew. Daily I would sweep and vacuum just trying to reduce the dust and dirt that they created. Lalo was going to spray my shutters inside my house. I was shocked! There would have been paint everywhere. I finally told Lalo "NO" that I was not going to clean up anymore of their paint messes in my house. So he decided to spray the shutters on my front lawn. I asked him to put something underneath the shutters to catch the overspray. He said no. My grass was WHITE for over 3 months while it grew out. My front yard looked terrible. The first week, the crew left their empty drink containers on my front lawn and in the planter beds. It looked so trashy. I told them that I would not do that to their yards, so they were not to do that to mine. How difficult is it to pick up your own trash??? At the end of the project when Lalo thought he was done, he just sat there and refused to address the drips, globs, missing paint areas. I just wanted them to leave and stop making messes that I was forced to clean up after them because they were not respectful of my property . Don't waste your time or money, hire a quality company and professionals who actually know how to paint.

Charlie Mc Nabb came to my house to see the simple paint job in one room and a couple "handyman"…read morethings. We talked about painting my bedroom, and he did not have much to say at all. We discussed my small bathroom. I asked him what to do about storage in my tiny bath, he told me to "get an over-the-toilet cabinet". I tried to explain that they don't have space for a full size hair dryer, a can of lysol, etc. (I've had those cabinets before) I said, "You are a contractor, right?" He said, "Yes." Charlie, at that point said, "Look, I don't want to do this job." Then he left without another word. I was stunned. I cannot imagine a more unprofessional person than Charlie Mc Nabb. I would think that a contractor would have a few more creative ideas other than "putting a wall-shelf over the toilet". But, the way Charlie just said, "I'm not doing this, goodbye", was very very strange, and in my opinion, very unprofessional. I don't think he should be listed as a contractor. when Charlie himself told me, "I'm just a painter". (Yet he told me he was a contractor...) I wonder if I had told Charlie that my budget for painting my room and fixing some things in the bath, like a water filter to soften the water just on they shower heads (Charlie said he knew NOTHING about water filters on shower heads), was $11,000. Would Charlie have been a little more professional perhaps? I don't know. I dare say that he would remain ignorant of simple contracting logistics though. I would not recommend this person.
