We purchased our home and were searching for a contractor to review items that were addressed in our home inspection. I reached out to a local designer for recommendations and she recommended Mat. He said he was unavailable to help with the items on our list but gave recommendations of businesses who could help, such as Miller Glass. No problem... the trouble started six months later. We reached out to him in January of 2025 asking if he had time to help us build a wall in our entryway sometime that year. He said yes, came over to look at our space, and charged us $100. Since then, he has done barely anything and it is now August of 2026. He has had a couple of conversations with us, said he would come back over for final measurements but never did, sent us a couple of AI rendered photos, claimed he was discussing with his door supplier, changed his business email without telling us so we had to dig for it months later after he disappeared (which he does for months at a time). He quoted $10,000 and said it could go up to $15,000. We told him we budgeted $15,000 but to let us know if the costs would be higher... we weren't fighting him on costs. We were kind and incredibly patient. We were hoping to find someone who could ultimately help us with renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms. We were willing to wait for a quality contractor, but I am appalled at the poor service we have received. Stringing us along for over a year and a half is unacceptable and unprofessional. If he hadn't been recommended by the designer, I would think he was scamming people with fake consults. I'd look elsewhere if you value your time. I feel like a bit of a fool for wasting so much of mine.

He managed to take care of 2 of my 3 issues on the spot (identifying discoloration on the roof and fixing a pipe vent), while also taking measurements for the snow guards I needed to install. Phil was very polite and respectful while doing the work. At first, we were very pleased with the work, which was done in June of 2021. However, after about 5 months or so, the floating vinyl flooring started to come up in places in the kitchen. We reached out, as we were surprised that it was coming up already, after only a few months of being installed. We were told at first that most likely our house foundation had shifted, which would cause the floor to come up. Keep in mind, we are on a concrete slab, and the same exact flooring that was put in by the front door and in the bathroom was not coming up. We were then told that it was most likely because there is a sliding glass door in the kitchen, which could cause the floor to come up. This also did not sit well with us, as I have known plenty of people that had floors installed in an area with a sliding glass door, and the floor didn't start coming up 5 months later. Additionally, at no point was this communicated to us while picking out the floor, install, or upon payment. After we didn't except this answers, Keith agreed to send someone out to look at the floor. But he sent the guy who originally installed the floors.. So, the guy who messed up the floors originally is supposed to fix them now? No surprise, he glued it down which laster about 48 hours. Maybe. Additionally, there was absolutely no follow up to see if the problem had been fixed. Not to mention there are gaps in the floor and wall in spots where the floor guy did not measure correctly, I have the pics below. Overall super unhappy that I paid 21 thousand dollars and ill have to get my kitchen floor replaced relatively soon. There seems to be no guarantee of work from this company, and Keith just didn't really seem to care to make things right with the family that wrote him a 21 thousand dollar check. It is what it is, but I will not be having them redo my closets as I had planned, and I can never suggest them as an option to anyone I know. It may seem harsh, but that is how I feel. I guess I just expected better customer service from a local company.

They always kept the workspace very clean , especially when they went home for the day... Very much appreciated. Their bids were accurate and very fair and reasonable. Everyone who works for them is very good at what they do and very courteous. I had them remodel a bathroom for me that had leakage problems. My bathroom is now beautiful and leak free. They also fixed some bought backyard, gates, and fence areas that had been broken for a long time. They found wood rot I didn't even know about it and made sure everything worked perfectly before they left. They seem to be able to do anything you ask them to do and are happy to do it for you. I will be calling them many times in the future when I find new projects, whether it is kitchen remodeling, electrical or plumbing work, painting, home repairs, etc.

They all came out and looked at our roof and gave us quotes. The quotes ranged from a low of $22,000 up to over $50,000. We then contacted Chico Roofing Company because we had 2 different friends recommend them. The salesperson (Cal) came out and was professional, personable and not pushy. He explained the roof replacement process explaining the different layers and product to be used. He then reviewed with us the warranty of the roof itself and of the workmanship. 50 years on the roof and 25 years on the workmanship. Their quote was less than $25,000 and when you take in the warranty factor it was by far the best deal. We signed on with them and they did a great job. The attention to detail of the crew and of their Foreman (Jessie) was top notch. Bill, the owner stopped by to check on the crew as well as to see if we had any questions on numerous occasions throughout the process. I've mentioned it to the crew and to friends that corners are not cut to save time when you warranty the craftmanship for 25 years.
