Just wanted to Thank Cronic Disasters for their excellent service. I had a rat eat thru my dishwasher and ran it, not realizing I had a problem, it flooded the entire kitchen. Requiring a full demolition and remodel. I called Cronic and they came out and made a plan, The next day they sent Adam Rosetta out to make it happen. Adam was so professional and very knowledgeable of what needed to be done and how to get it accomplished. He was very much a perfectionist as if he was working on his own home. I thought this remodel was going to be a nightmare, but thanks to Adam and Ryan it was easy. I now have a beautiful kitchen. Great Job. We first started our journey with this company after the Camp Fire. After they lost our contract because of turn over, they finally began working with our insurance company. They repeatedly had communication issues with us and the insurance company and TWO YEARS LATER had only installed a temp pole, dug a hole trying to find our well, and rebuilt a water tank and pressure tank with a USED booster pump. They charged our insurance 2,145.00 for that used pump (it was OUR OLD PUMP they NEVER replaced it) and told us that the reason why the pvc pipe kept breaking was because of PG&E power fluctuations. We had to pay out of pocket for another company to come fix their error after multiple problems with it. They tried to charge us for repairing this problem and even threatened to put a lien on our property for not paying them to repair their error. FINALLY, we parted ways with a threat to the CSLB in 2020 and found a new contractor, just in time for the Covid material cost increases. We should have filed our complaint with the CSLB and taken them to court. I suggest you have your contract looked at by a contract attorney if you decide to go with this company. You may have to hire a secretary to deal with them and try to get them to respond to you because it was a nearly full-time job for me. We have tried to make the owner/manager aware of the issues we experienced but we don't know if he doesn't care of if the local office is preventing our concerns from reaching him. I had a small water leak from all the rain we had this winter and needed to remove some drywall that got wet. The team at Cronic helped get everything in order quickly and was very helpful through the process. Matt did the repair work over a few days and had my bathroom looking better than ever. About a year after the original flood damage to our house that CD came in and "repaired" (over the course of many months) is once again undergoing repair because of the failed work CD did last year. Poor workmanship caused a new flood and we are back to having to redo what CD was supposed to have completely fixed. This time we avoided CD and hired an actual contractor to repair the damage. read more

We had Cronic work on our house due to water damage issues. They were super professional and caring. There was some miscommunication in the beginning, but there was no hesitation to get it sorted out. They really wanted to make sure we were happy with the work they did. Rusty constantly stopped by to check on the job and answered any questions we had. I always had a lot of them! Lol. He was awesome to work with!! Matt started the job and was super nice and friendly. He did a great job fixing the wall. He had to do another job so James took over and finished the remaining work. James really cares about his work and takes pride in the work he does. Matthew was punctual with great attention to detail. I didn't like the vanity I chose. Tony and Matthew allowed me to pick another one. I cannot say enough how much I have appreciated this company, and in particular, Erick Bunch, for the help in navigating my insurance company after a fire damaged my home in February of 2022. The emotional aspects of losing your home is deep and it took our fifth insurance adjuster to get our approval done to start the rebuilding of our beautiful home. Erick was there by my side, helping me through it all with phone calls and emails to get insurance to do their job. It has been quite the fight. We are just starting the rebuilding process and it will take another year to be back in our house but I wanted to give a huge thank you to Erick for everything he has done, and especially for today. We had a trailer put on our property until we can get back in our home and it has been raining and raining for weeks. Today the trailer started to have a leak in the roof and Erick came 20 miles to come and put a plastic patch on it to get us through. Working with insurance companies is a true specialty, one that most contractors don't have the knowledge or patients for. My family in Chico enjoyed working with Tony Longueira of Chronic as he was straightforward and very responsive. Tony always returned our calls and stood by his estimated project completion date so that the transition back home was sane. We spent a great deal of energy trying to get competitive bids, but Chico area contractors were either overbooked or in over their heads when it came to the bidding requirements for an insurance job. We had a flood and Cronic Disaster helped us put our home back together. The staff were very professional and addressed our concerns. Tony Longueira was our project manager and he helped get thins scheduled and moving along. Due to Covid and being short on staff sometimes things did take a bit longer than I would have liked. I had a great experience with Chronic Disaster. My washing machine overflowed and flooded my floor. My insurance company recommended them for the job. They came out, pulled the damaged flooring out, cut out the wet drywall and had several fans to dry the place out. Matthew was the first guy here, he did all of this work, along with pulling out the floor casings. Matthew paid careful details to his job and it showed. When everything was dried, Rusty came and put the new flooring and floor casings on. Rusty is a perfectionist, as he measured each board carefully, which created a beautiful job. Both of the gentlemen were polite and sincere...I could tell they really cared about this job and doing it right! There were a lot of "Players" involved in this 134-day restoration after our broken water pipe damage. Tony Longueira negotiated with our insurance company, kept us on budget, answered all of our questions, and kept us informed every step of the way. Mike Shoulders did all the "heavy lifting". In this regard, he did all of the restoration work inside our home. Mike is a no-nonsense worker with laser-focused attention to meeting our needs, ensuring our satisfaction, and getting our home back to "normal". His attention to detail and ability to communicate progress and challenges all along the way gave us a level of comfort and ultimate satisfaction in the work performed.
